“Just because you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at everything. Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself. Because if you don’t then who will, sweetie?” -Marilyn Monroe
when i watched the movie, i was surprised that Marilyn had such a good sense of rhythm. I already knew she could sing, but she was mostly known for her seductive poses and glamorous gowns (in terms of how she presented herself in public). I wouldn't call her a dancer, but she clearly knew how to properly swing those famous hips of hers and how to look elegant while doing it.
My TH-cam playlist spewed up "Material Girl" by Madonna. I could only take two minutes of that crass display of vulgarity. I came here to see the real thing.
Her motives are blatantly materialistic, but the whole thing is so witty, elegant, charming, funny, stylish and performed with panache. And the choreography is excellent. Truly one of a kind for the ages.
Ryan Gosling’s I’m Just Ken Oscar performance sent me here! I’m in my 30’s and of all Marylin’s movies I would do Some Like It Hot or Gentleman Prefer Blondes over Seven Year Itch any day!
I really love this song and one of my friends from school had sang this song in choir. I've heard that, this song is popular so I decided to listen to it. Plus, I really love that pink dress. I've heard that people that are alive had been wearing some of her dresses. My favorite movies from her are "Seven Year Itch", "Gentlemen Prefers Blonde" and "The Misfits". I've had been listening to some of her songs, including "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friends".
A movie goddess, at the height of her powers. When she entered a room, she lit it up. Often imitated to this day, yet never to be duplicated, is Marilyn Monroe.
As a kid at Sunday mass with my parents, and later approaching teenhood, when a film of hers reached the cinemas on our tiny Island state, never a homily went by without being warned to stay away, for she was an agent of the Devil sent to banish the souls, especially of men, to eternal damnation. And absolution being denied unless a promise was made to mend one's ways when the next film arrived. The Church, at least my country's, depicted her as a home-wrecker. Evil incarnate. It was no laughing matter then, and more so now. But for reasons that couldn't be further apart. How could Biblical scholars, philosophers, and theologians have gotten it so wrong?
"It's then that those louses go back to their spouses....." A song made for a dame who has the guys snapping at her every command. In the end, seems she forgot these lyrics and jumped at theirs.
Ye God's, these musicals were camp. Odd how Monroe could remember a dance routine like this & yet when making 'Hot' she kept messing up a simple line "It's me! Sugar!" "It's Sugar! Me!" being one of many versions she uttered.
"I'm happy to have you on a set, because you wouldn't come on to the men infront of my face." There's a job to be done. They're not the mission statement.
She was one of a kind..there will never be anyone like her again...Simply wonderful!

I knew she could sing since Some Like It Hot
Its hard to believe she was an orphan ❤ She really did make a name for herself...wish she had lived longer xxxxxxx🎉😊
I’ve seen a couple of her movies just recently including this one. But I’m surprised she entered the golden gates too soon myself
Many have tried to duplicate Marilyn but her version of this song will never be equaled or surpassed
Nothing can't beat the real Marilyn. She's wonderful.

Marilyn had a luminosity that made her stunning......
Due to her very high level of intelligence as a reason of creation
What I love about this song is how honest it is on both sides.

An inspiring song to inspire me for being a jewelry maker 💞

When I need a fillip, here's where I go back to.
Again and again.
She's a flighty gossamer of unadulterated innocence.
Innocence?! That not what I get from this performance- it’s pure hard boiled cynicism! But I love it ❤

She was 💡LUMINESCENT💡

Wow! I think humans will watch this 1000 years from now...and be amazed!

Thetan - "She thought it was sad."
Jane confirmed it.

Lady Gaga should have recreated this for the Olympics opening ceremony!
Well, weights are done, face is on. Now for the trousers..

Trish - "What is the mission statement of life?"
Probably, Tennessee Williams..
I love the randomness of you.
Kind of disappointing she had to mimic a Madonna video, though.
MADONNA WASN'T BORN WHEN SHE DID THIS.
🤣
