I watch a lot of AI stuff but i didn't expect to see an entire AI generated movie this soon. The longest AI video i've seen, the most natural looking one, one of the top ten most aesthetic ones, the AI voices and mouth movements are great, cool characters (and one hot), good music (AI too?), and the story is short but well written (by an AI, right?). I nominate it for an AI oscar, best short movie (you should do a clip of the characters at the academy awards, lol)
Wow, thank you! That means a LOT. Truly appreciate that! Some of the music was AI, but I also used music from EpidemicSound and Artlist. I actually wrote the vast majority of this script and story but did use ChatGPT to augment some portions and the structure of my vision as well as help with some sticky parts. I do plan to hopefully submit it into some AI competitions! Thank you again for the kind words and I am really glad you enjoyed it! 🍻

I make AI short films myself and I have to say your film was very well made and I bet it took a lot of work! Great job. Subscribed! What’s your workflow and tools for consistent characters and lipsync?
Thank you for the sub! That means a lot. I use Midjourney for the consistent characters, then ElevenLabs for the voices, followed by Gen-3 for the videos and Runway's lip sync for the lip syncing. Runway's lip syncing can be a bit picky at times depending on the lighting/characters but it's the best I've found so far. Hope it helps! Thanks again for the comment and sub!
Haha not unemployed. I worked on it most days after work when I could. Altogether I believe it took about 2 months and around 200 hours to put together. Was quite a challenge lol
There's no time limit. This one is about 14 minutes long. This one took me about 2 months and over 200 hours to make. Lots of editing. You can theoretically make a feature-length film with AI though!
AI creates little 4 or 10 second video clips. You need to use a video editor to put them together just like if you were making a movie from real video clips.
Absolutely amazing work :-) although at those times women pirates were not possible, I don't think so they were even allowed to the ships at all. But this lady captain makes it far more intriguing. I loooooove pirate ships of those times 😎
You're absolutely spot on lol. That's why I added the part about the bar patrons saying it was a curse to have a female captain haha. Wanted to comment on how unusual that was. It's not very realistic in terms of actual history but I envisioned a badass Lara Croft (Tomb Raider) style heroine for the main role. Thank you!! Yup, I used ElevenLabs for the voices. Had to create Roger's voice from scratch though then clone it in ElevenLabs. Glad you liked it! 😁

It's taken me several weekends to make just a parody commercial, probably took several months to make this unless you were unemployed.

It's rubbish. Just another version of the same AI program using about 3 keystrokes. No fun, humour or irony. Or any originality whatsoever.
