Did you drill a hole in the vase? If yes, then I missed it. If no, then I’m not sure how a depression of what couldn’t be more the a quarter inch could support those twigs.

Yes! I drilled a hole. It’s in the video but it’s short because it’s not all that interesting to watch 😊
