    IMPORTANT: Unfortunately, I won’t be responding to Instagram messages anymore. I hope you guys understand. It’s not an easy thing for me to have to say. Back when I first started my channel I had very little subscribers so this was something I could do easily but now as my channel has grown and that I’m a mother to two very young children, it’s impossible for me to respond to everyone. I currently have 92 unread messages in my inbox and that’s only from last week. I’ve also been getting a lot of rude and hurtful messages of people saying that I’m fake because I’m not responding or sending me message after message demanding for my attention. It’s been getting me so down and people have said some horrible things. I know how it feels when you’re desperate. Truly, I do. I’ve been there and it’s sucks. But please remember I am just one person. A lot of people are also asking me for medical advice but please remember I am not a doctor. I’m just like you.
    If you want to get in touch, I offer health anxiety talking sessions which you can book here - cherellethinks.setmore.com
    I also have a health anxiety support page on Facebook that I interact with a lot. Just type in ‘Health Anxiety Community’ and you should find it. Lastly, I also do regular Q&A’s on my Instagram too where I can answer any questions people may have. I hope you understand and it’s never my intention to upset anyone. There just isn’t enough hours in the day. Thanks so much. X

      Dont feel bad. You dont owe anyone a response. As you said you are not a doctor. You cant tell them anything that will truly reassure them. Health anxiety doesnt allow for much reassurance, no matter who it is coming from.

    Palpitations is my number 1 … cuz it triggers so many other symptoms like breathlessness. However … i’ve gone on a low carb / sometimes keto diet, palpitations have improved . But they used to be so bad , i would hear my heart beat in my ear and feel it in my throat while trying to sleep .

    We’re not alone..anyone going through anxiety know you’re not alone. Tons of people are feeling what you’re feeling. Just know it gets better. It always does, no matter how hard to believe it is. Be patient and try to stay positive. Think positive, it’s ok you’re going through this, it’s ok you’re feeling it, it will pass. Try not to care what anyone might think, if you’re crazy or whatever because you’re not. If you were crazy you wouldn’t know it was happening, it’s just anxiety. You’ll be ok trust me, just try to be positive and keep yourself busy no matter how hard it is. ❤️ 🙏🏻

    The brain fog one sounds exactly like what I get, it’s the WORST! The definition I found that really described it was ‘derealisation’. It feels like your high or not in this reality, you start having existential thoughts etc. So horrid 😭

    Right now I have widespread twitching with a new hotspot, chest pain, cramps, tingling and weird sensations, sinus issues, brain fog, insomnia, gut issues, the whole bit honestly. Health anxiety is awful, so much time spent on worrying about and researching deadly diseases that you don’t have.

      Same here. I had a lot of panic attacks, but the last one did it for me. All these fears of having all these a illnesses is enough to set me off. And I think about it almost every minute of everyday. I feel like I don't know what it's like to feel happy. Together with all the physical symptoms.

    So glad to have found your channel. Health anxiety has been the bane of my life for years and during the pandemic it's been awful. One thing I try to do when I'm suffering from any of the many many symptoms of anxiety is to look and feel my symptoms and remind myself I've had them before. Insomnia is the worst because you end up living on adrenaline which of course increases heart rate and makes the anxiety feel worse. It's good to know I'm not alone though I wouldn't wish the condition on anyone. There are literally hundreds of physical ways anxiety can affect your body and that's what people dont understand. Yes it is a mental condition but the physical side effects are very real and can be very frightening. Understanding our condition and symptoms and what is normal to us is vital. Keep up the good work.👏🌺

      I had the same symptoms for months and was 100% convinced I had a brain tumour. I ended up having an mri and it was all fine.. so ultimately that was what made me get over this fear and magically the headaches stopped once I knew I was fine. Otherwise , I kept telling myself statistically there is less than. 1% chance of having a brain tumour and that there has to be a more logical reason for the headaches (in my case I’m sure it was the anxiety causing it since they magically stopped once I knew it wasn’t a tumour ) if you absolutely can’t get over the thought , I’d say ask your gp for an mri or get some verbal reassurance from them for peace of mind. Hope you feel better soon

  • @qpffosb1322
    @qpffosb1322 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I have a question. I've been having health anxiety and "palpitations" for almost a year now, but everytime I read other people talk about it, it's always different. What I personally feel is my heartbeat all over my body (hands, legs, neck, arms, stomach etc) and it's almost as if I'm constantly hyperaware of my heartbeat. But I also read that palpitations is when people feel like their heart starts beating really fast so like tachycardia (?)
    Sorry for my english. I'm not an english-speaker but I'm just trying to understand if this is what people mean as palpitations.

    • @qpffosb1322
      @qpffosb1322 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Like I don't feel an irregular pulse ?? I just feel it in a very intense way and it's all over my body. (I got blood work and ECG done and it was all okay..)

    • @cherellethinks
      @cherellethinks  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If your ECG was okay I think you can mostly be reassured about your heart. Everyone experiences palpitations differently. For example, with me, it feels like an ectopic best where I’ve get one big THUD in my chest. Other people will feel their heartbeat really fast in their chest. Some people feel it in their throat/neck. That’s where I feel my palpitations. The internet can be quite confusing when it comes to palpitations. I know how you feel!

      @@cherellethinks The Brain fog might actually be Depersonalisation and Derealisation they are usually triggered by panic or excess anxiety, some people describe it as feeling like you’re experiencing reality from behind a pain of glass, lack of sense of distance, people may feel further away and it may feel like your consciousness is positioned outside of your head. I got this bad recently with a panic attack, looked in the mirror and saw myself but I was almost unrecognisable. It’s by far the worst symptom because it can feel like you’re losing your mind or inducing a psychosis but it isn’t :) usually Depersonalisation and Derealisation pass after the trauma or panic subsides.
