*rim brakes on the cheaper version. I definitely agree with you that this is a great value and great design for a commuter eBike that doesn’t look so obvious with battery packs and oversized frame tubing.

Without gears, curious how this handles steep hills? I am no Seattke, and steep hills are pretty common, and is what is causing me to consider an ebike…
This bike reminds me of the Aventon Soltera (I have reviewed that bike on my channel). I really like the gravel wheels on this, but I really wish they would have included gears. I’m still really interested to ride this bike though.

So because of built in battery, this is useless for most people which usually live in cities in apartment blocks. At least where i live, most people don't try to keep their bikes inside their homes. Also i wonder if replacing that battery is difficult because it might get damaged when you forget it outside for a few days at winter. Also best protection from thieves is to carry most expensive part (battery) with you..
BS. Well, if you leave your valuables outside expect them to be stolen. Duh. Also, the stealth and form factor makes it harder to steal the batteries unlike many that can be simply removed from the frame. If critical thinking is an issue then there are ways to improve on that- usually by doing some investigation. And actual thinking
Unfortunately We live in crazy times. Not looking like an ebike was a huge factor in my decision. You still have to lock any bike up or gone in 60 seconds here in San Antonio
great looking bike but 250wh is so low and $375 for another 250wh is really pricy. also a gravel bike that weighs more than a mountain bike, and much worse with the second battery makes no sense to me beyond the beautiful and stealthy aesthetics of this bike without the extra battery. a 17-20 lb non electric gravel bike makes more sense imo and may be more energy efficient than this thing in pa 1 on a climb. a human powered gravel/rd bike can easily go over 20mph and a strong rider in sprint over 40mph so to me i dont see the use.
dude $1,000 for a tiny little bike with a little underpowered midget battery... no thank you, I can build one 100x more powerful for a quarter of that price
You might be able to get a wheel and motor for around $200 but that's it. After you buy a controller, battery and all the other required items, you're up to about $800 plus. You obviously don't know what you're talking about.
a ss belt drive is fine for many but this bike should have gears, especially for the price. ill take my $550 metakoo over this or my radmission for instance on mountain fire roads or hill climbs because this either wont make it up or will put too much stress on the hub motor. the metakoo can get me up anything even without power because it has a 3x up front and 7 in the back. I can get to brentwood and back form the sfv on it, did so in just over 28 miles yesterday with 3 battery bars of 5 left. a 17lb non powered gravel bike with gears would be far better for that use than this bike and will be faster on road for a strong rider. One way to be a strong rider is to pull a 48 lb metakoo up LA hills and fire roads without using power.

Thanks in advance for the info!
How long does it take to charge?
From empty to full charge in less than 2 hours.

And the mileage on the battery is?
This spec is mentioned in CNET's video review. The 36-volt battery can achieve 20-30 miles per charge cycle.
Having a throttle and isn't purely pedal-assist should make this bike a class 2.
