Ive said this before and no doubt i`ll say it many times over,i love the way you react to our british humour and your laugh is infectious, keep it up Josh.
Chris Eubank was a great boxer and a fantastic character. It's funny watching someone as big as Greg Davies scared of someone so much smaller but I sure as hell don't blame him! Chris Jr (Eubank's son) is currently a very good boxer himself.
I met Chris Eubank once in the early 90s, he was visiting someone at an ex service home in West Sussex . He's a really lovely bloke. Very friendly and made time to say hello to everyone. Everyone really liked him.
This has to one of the best Cats does Countdown moments ever! When Greg nearly S#%*S himself as Chris walks on, is just so funny. Chris is such a Gent and very gracious about the whole thing, it just makes me respect him more. Love this clip. 😍😅
btw with only fools and horses on dailymotion the two finger insult kinda means "up yours" originated during a war, English vs french, the french would cut the two fingers off the english archers so they could not draw back their bows as the english were profoundly good with bows. the english would just stick their two fingers up to signal to the french as in to say "still got my two fingers, fuck you/ up yours" now its used as a less aggressive middle finger/ more playful.
Chris Eubank is an old school English eccentric who also happens to be an extrovert and a pugilist. An odd, but wonderful combination given his self-deprecating sense of humour and delivery (voice and mannerisms). A Eubank impersonation will usually crack me up, but Greg's is next level. 😂👍 He used to drive around Hove in his Peterbilt 379 Cab wearing plus fours and a monocle. The former, I believe, is long gone, though he still cuts quite a dash with his wardrobe.
I really like Chris Eubank. I remember going on a rugby tour with my dad in the early 90s and watching one of his fights on screens in a Butlins pub. Everyone was cheering "Eubank" and he was an excellent boxer. I met his biggest adversary Nigel Benn at a convention a couple of years ago and he was cool. Very different personalities though. It was a shame that people made fun of Eubank, though it was mainly because of his pomposity, like wearing a monocle, jodphurs and driving a huge American semi truck everywhere. I like Louis Theroux but felt his interview with Eubank was unfair; it seemed like The World v Eubank, but someone explained to me that Theroux's ulterior motive was possibly to get Chris Eubank to chill out a bit and not worry about his image and what people think. Anyway, he's a great sport and fantastic boxer.
Weird how people made fun of Eubank because he was a bit eccentric but when Mayweather has drug parties with hookers and cash all over the place, people treat it as 'just being a bit wacky!'
Benn has mellowed out over the years, I sort of met him in a nightclub in the late 80s, he was surrounded by bodyguards and wouldnt let anyone near him, what made it worse the club was almost empty on one side as they were all round benn, I gave up trying to get his autograph, no idea if he eventually did any. I have met many stars over the years but there has only been 3 ignorant ones and he is one of them, if you cant make time for the fans why bother.
He came to my school in the 90s and gave a seminar for around 45 min - 1hr. He was giving life advice. All the kids were buzzing Then when we were teens he seemed like a grown ass or old man, but now I’m much older than he was then. He must’ve been late 20s or very early 30s when he came.
That was a great reaction, its a bit like when you watch Karl, Rickys laugh makes it so much better, its the same when watching things with you, thanks Josh!
Chris eubank was a superb fighter. He moved like nobody I've ever seen. Very individual style. Could punch hard and take a punch. Involved in some of the best fights I've ever seen. A great character too.
I was in a pub in brighton, years ago. Eubank was at the bar talking on his swish new mobile phone chatting all sorts. Then it rang while he was chatting. Everybody laughed so hard.
Hard not to love Eubanks he is so eccentric. I'll always remember him first for his brilliance in the boxing ring. That era, when you had his rivalry with Nigel Benn was electric. And then Steve Collins comes along and makes it a 3 way rivalry. The 3 of them were brilliant boxers.
Chris Eubank was one of my favourite fighters. Dodging punches the way he could, then still landing good punches too, brilliant skills. Some preferred Benn, I preferred Eubanks, though, I liked both. I admired Eubanks's lack of words, he saved it for the ring.
My brother met Chris Eubank on his stag do while he was wearing a Borat style swimming costume (my brother not Eubank). He got badges made of them together which we wore for team my family because they had a mini sports competition - it was pretty funny.
The thing with the original episode when Greg was "doing the voice", is it was more mocking Greg for the terrible immitation than mocking Chris. Chris is a legend in the UK. His boxing acumen is well known, as is his voice which (as you can see from this clip) doesn't necessarily fit the boxer person.
I love Chris Eubank, actually have alot of respect for him and his outlook on life compared to other celebs, he has a good sense of humour and tries his best to always present himself as if he might one day meet the queen out of the blue, very respectable man despite his eccentric demeanour
At some point, Chris has had some serious speech therapy. He now says his 's's with so much 's' that they whistle, rather than having the old 'th' lisp. I remember years ago when he guest-hosted 'Top of the Pops', they made him introduce, at number 6, Suggs, with 'Cecilia'. There was spit flying all over.
On his interview with Louis theroux years ago he didnt have a lisp at all. Louis asked him about it and he said he just put it on. This was years and years ago, probably just after he stopped boxing.
@@skum73 That's odd, I've had a look, and every clip I can find of the Louis Theroux show, he's lisping in it. There's loads of articles online saying that he actually cured himself through 30 grand's worth of dentistry work in 2009-2010.
@@Paddy.C Weird. If I remember correctly, he was lisping through the program but there was one point in it when I think they were just both in his house that Louis queried it because he noticed he wasnt doing it. Im sure Im remembering it correctly because me and my mates were talking about it. I could only find two clips on youtube but the whole show was probably 45 minutes or an hour long.
@@skum73 Nice one mate, I'll see if any of the streaming services have it. That's actually a bit of a scoop, since none of the outlets who ran with the expensive dentistry story picked up on it, nice one!

Search for "The Perfect Punch - Chris Eubank Highlights" to see just how scared shitless Greg Davis was.
The other dude (Vic Reeves) is Bob Mortimers partner in crime on Shooting Stars and the show Reeves and Mortimer - both hilarious, but if you can check out Shooting Stars you’ll find a whole new side to British comedy you haven’t exposed yourself to yet...
Chris is a genuinely lovely guy, met him briefly in a club when I lived in Brighton. He drives a huge American Peterbilt truck about and just uses it like it’s a car.
It's really fun to see Greg "Godzilla" Davis terrified by Eubank (rightfully though, man is out of the ring for a long time but could definitely hold his ground). That's what we call a royal fuck up. Propos to Eubank for being a good sport.
Eubank was an awesome boxer, he made himself unpopular in the boxing world for denouncing it for its brutality and said he only did it cos it was all he knew how to do.
Chris Eubanks and Mike Tyson, both so soft spoken and phenomenal fighters and boxers honestly. Also gentleman from what I've seen of them post career. Nice guys. Being a brit I don't know how well known Eubanks was in the USA.
Worth looking up if you have a chance - Milton Jones. King of the deadpan one liners. I've seen him live a couple of times and ended up in pain from laughing.
I recomend wwatching man down it has greg davies as the main character its a sorta sitcoom and hilarous also on the 4th season mark hammol guest stars on it
Eubank had one of the hardest jaws I ever saw in boxing. The man was almost impossible to knock out ,certainly in his prime. You'd never know it by his demeanor now, but he was a wrecking ball in his day.
A little eccentric, you haven't got a clue, look up some clips of Chris at home with his family, and check out his daily drive, what he goes to the paper shop in, then you will get some idea about our special ex boxer that we all love here in the UK, plus the only thing in common with Tyson is they were both fighters,
Also dunno if you know the guy Jimmy asked about Pretty Woman..that's Danny Dyer. He's an actor. Plays pretty much himself in everything he's in 😂. He's mainly in a soap opera show Eastenders over here where they all talk like him. But even there he's pretty strong. They mostly take the piss out of him for his extremely strong cockney accent along with lots of slang words and phrases he uses. He's gotten better at taking the piss out of himself over time he's pretty funny on panel shows! He did "Who Do You Think You Are" once which is a show where celebs trace their family history and it was pretty funny some of the stuff he came out with even on this fairly serious historical show 😂😂😂
Those mostly naked dudes are on every show they model the prizes 😂😂 i think it started with just one of them when Joe Wilkinson used to have a regular feature on the show where he'd barge in and bring his "half brother Fabio" who was one of them and he just stood there and didn't talk the whole time..every time 😂 they stopped the Joe feature so now they model the prizes hahaha

All credit to Chris Eubank for taking it in good spirit 😂😂
Chris is a legend. He's eccentric, like an old English gent - but has a wicked sense of humour!
Greg's face when he walked out is hilarious 😂
Eubanks is a legend. Very smart man and famously a great sport
I looked him up online, interesting guy 😁
I love how Greg is caught between “I really shouldn’t be doing this,” and “this may be one of the funniest things ever and I surely I have to milk it for everything”
Chris Eubank is known for being a real English eccentric. He was dressed down for this. He usually wears a monocle
Fair
He drives his own lorry around Brighton, as well, I think.
