    Man, what a proud day for this guy. These videos are so much better when the car has deep meaning to the owner. Glen is the epitome of this. One of my favorite episodes. Amazing car, Glen. Truly exceptional.

      Hello Coasting. Wow, to say one of your favorite episodes is amazing. Thank you for that! Yes sir this video shoot was an amazing day and one I'm so grateful Shawn made happen for me. Yes sir, the story is what makes this car very sentimental to me. It's going to one of my kids once my days are done. Then they can decide what they want to do with it.

      @@g89stang No problem, brotha. I’m building a ‘69 Camaro that I’ve had since the mid ‘90’s so your build struck a chord with me. You’ve done incredible things and your car is astonishing.

    Doing a 66 in my garage also...complete tear down and rebuild by me. I'm no professional by any means but loving the process. My "adopted" son (great story behind that...but for another time) gave it to me in 2019. 66 coupe was my first car and I always wanted another one...and he knew that. When he decided to unload it he asked me if I wanted it. I said "of course but how much?". He said come a get it...its yours!!! 🙂🙂

    Very nice car! You did a wonderful job! The first thing I thought of was my very own garage built 1965 mustang coupe in Ruby Red. I have the cowl hood and shelby front valance with a 363 stroker. Mine was my first car I ever bought for $600 dollars back in 1995. I just finished restoring it last year. It took 3 years of body work and paint alone so I know what you went through. Lol. @richdouche8253 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right. I think it depends on the year also... 65-68 like the notch. 69-73 I think the fastback looks better. 74-78 don't exist, lol. And 79-93 notch.

    Love the car, but the story about his dad helping him is fantastic! My General Lee has tons of sentimental value due to my mother and my grandparents sacrificing so much for it back when I was 15 years old (1996) so I could have it. Then in 2003/2004 it became a General Lee. Working hard to get it restored and fulfill a dream my whole family has wanted to see realized since 1996! Again, love this car, love the story even more!

      Hello Kimo. I have some compilation videos on my channel if you want to see what I did and how I did it. The easiest way to put it is I sanded the old paint using 400 grit and then 600 grit and fixed all my bad spots with body filler. I spot primed it with 2K primer and then wet sanded with 600 grit. I taped off areas such as my glass with plastic. I sprayed 4 coats of paint and 4 coats of House of Kolor clear. I wet sanded the clear with 1500, 2000, 3000, 5000 and 8000. Then I used the 3M 3 step polishing system to get that paint smooth and shinny. It was a ton of work, but so worth it.

    I love the stance and the fact that he made it stiff so it doesn't lift it doesn't squat and just goes straight ahead that's nice I just can't imagine a 427 and a 65 probably a lot of weight taken out I'm not sure he didn't say and the 67 scoops on the side it's pretty bitching it's a nice f****** resto-mod that's for sure I like them clean and original but I do like a nice resto-mod and that's a beautiful example and for a garage build damn that's exceptional I built a lot of cars in garages and I know excellence when I see it nice job ciao for now

    • @g89stang
      @g89stang 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow Don! Amazing feedback my friend! Thank you for your awesome post! I'm not sure what you mean by weight reduction. I didn't focus on any weight reduction, but I did add a fiberglass hood and front valance. The side scoop is from Shelby and is meant to mimic the old Shelby cars from 65/66. Thank you for your comment on it being an excellent garage build. I tried to copy things from factory Mustang's. My seats and exhaust going under the rear end come from the 03 Cobra's. The front valance, side stripes and scoop are from the 60s Shelby Mustangs and my console and center gauges are from newer style Mustangs. Lastly my 8 stack intake and knock offs are meant to mimic the 60s Shelby Cobra's. Thank you again Don! You are very kind sir!
