Funny thing is I worked with this guy in Kuwait. He had a Mustang out there 😂. It was a 05 if I’m not mistaken. Small world. Dope Stang Gee.

The size of the wheels should mimic the size of the car. Smaller car, smaller wheels. Larger car,...Twenties are simply too big for an early Mustang.

Not that many will read this but these Mustang stories always hurt me. I'm not a huge Ford or Mustang guy (except old 60's Stangs n Broncos) That being said me and my father had purchased a '67 Fastback we were planning on restoring. He had a love for them as he once owned a Shelby GT350 &500. Unfortunately his health took a turn for the worse after losing his business a yr or so later. The cars body and sheet metal had all been finished and we bought all the parts to restore her, even planned on swapping out the K code 289 for guess what? Yup 347 stroker 425hp base. Sadly my father left us in 2011 and my family has gone through hell ever since for many reasons and my mother had financial hard times and sold it a few yrs back to some guys from CT unfinished. It was OUR project and both myself and my father had blood sweat and tears into her. I was VERY angry and upset for a long time to come and it bothers me to this day.

Haters are always gonna hate and be negative.. a custom build is a canvas and you paint it anyway you want to!! I dig the factory ford color and the wheels, and the cobra transplant along with the headlights those are nice 👌! And I have 1 question what kind of shifter do you have on your 5spd?

I did a CTRL+F of "lug nut" to see if anyone else had said anything. They kept showing the missing lug nut/wheel stud. I actually like how these cars are imperfect though -- makes me feel better about my own and its cracked paint on the roof.

I agree with the stance on criticizing someone else's car. I see cars i don't like at car shows all the time, but i keep that to myself unless i know the person and i am just busting his balls. The guy that built it or bought it does not want to hear it and neither would i if it were mine.

Home owners insurance I believe would cover this. I was told anything parked in driveway or inside is covered by home insurance. Even if it's broken into.

Edit: What kind of exhaust do you have? I've got long tubes with flow master mufflers but it doesn't sound near as good as yours.

There was never a 91 cobra, that was just a GT basic 5.0, maybe stroked out to 347 but don’t know why they would leave the compression so low
I may have missed something because im impatient but how do you build a 347 stroker? Is it a 302 with a 351 crank if that would even work?

Happened to me in the " Wall Fire " July 9 2017 . My Home , Shop, 1967 Shelby GT 500 428 / 4 speed my dad bought new prior to vietnam. A 1955 Ford Fairlane Club Coupe Gasser 428 CJ / close ratio top loader 4 speed, 1968 Cougar GT Factory 428 CJ / 4 speed and a 1991 Harley FXR SP I just rebuilt. Still fighting insurance co that refuses to pay a dime in court . Its taking forever because civil courts take forever in Calif and adding covid 19 meant a extra 1.5 years to the wait so far . Criminal the way Ive been treated . I had the clotthes on my back and the 1971 F100 4x4 I was driving the day of the fire when it was over.
First gen mustangs truly are something special. I love when people put a unique twist on them like this. Really leaves their mark on the history of such a legendary car.

I know his pain, went through that back in 97 with a mustang, at my uncle's house, working on it and it caught fire, total loss. I applaud him for hanging in and getting it together and building a beautiful car.

Unfortunately I'm going to say exactly what you said some might do. Lol. I'm not a fan of the wheels. They look like they're off a donk. I think the colour of the car probably needs black wheels and definitely smaller. But after my little moan, the car sounds amazing and looks great (apart from the wheels).. 😁 👍
