Josh no one captures the essence of a historic chateau like you do. The drone footage, the still life photo captures. Beautiful old chateau. Incredible find. Loved the library area. Oh to be able to restore this.
I'm so glad that the locals are coming together to preserve it. What a place honestly I don't know how that couple could just let something that beautiful just sit there untouched. Love having the exploring videos back for a while. Don't get me wrong love beyond the dark too but there's just something about documenting the unheard/unknown history of places is magical
France should restore and maintain that house and convert it into a museum, because it is a part of their country's history. They should declare that place as a national historical landmark.
I can almost guarantee that Indonesian couple would make that very hard. It's incomprehensible but some people buy things just to keep others from getting it. I would love to be wrong however.
The curved door, the stained glass window in the church, the library!!!!😍😍 I'm absolutely mesmerized by this place. This chateau is magical in every detail
Hey Josh! If you’re curious I translated that graffiti in the area with the small grandfather clock, and “on vous voit a bon” translates to “we see you well” which gave me creepy vibes
What a beautiful castle must have so many stories it could tell if wall could talk ,it definatly needs to be saved from going to ruin well done josh great find
I’m always so impressed at how much you respect every place you explore, and how peaceful, and intelligent you speak. Keep up the outstanding work sir. 😊
My heart skipped a beat when I saw that library. I could spend months there reading the books, especially the ones on the top shelves. They look very old. I would love to start in that château!! You're living out my dream.
As always, such great coverage of an era before our time. So fun to imagine the people who lived here and what their daily life would of been like. Great video Josh!!!
Wow Josh this was so beautiful. I'll never get tired of videos like this. The hidden chapel room was the best. And normally I don't like when people vandalize these beautiful places but the juxtaposition of the new graffiti above the great stairs and everything around it being old. So cool!
Hey Josh, I already love this before watching the entire vid. Some terms for ya: • ARCHWAY - 4:07, Where you said "Walking through the tower". It's called an archway. • FOYER - 5:15, A foyer is an entryway, not lobby. • CABINET - 5:45, I would love to have that. Any mold spores that are disturbed can easily lodge in your lungs and make you sick. When I had mold growing in my pantry, from a water leak, they taped everything off with plastic sheeting and came in with hazmat gear. Seriously! Wear a mask!! • WARDROBE - 24:10, I love wardrobes. • WALLPAPER - 25:23, This type of wallpaper is called Toile. • STRAWBERRIES - 27:00, Flowers, not strawberries. Stay safe and take care. 😇

I always love to hear about Norwegian people since I am from Norway myself 😄 Also since it was a person that was on Titanic it make it even more interesting. Cool place!!
Hey Josh I wanted to jump in the comment section and say hello I’m Lauren 27 from Scotland and I just came across your channel while trying to find a good video of abandoned historical buildings and amusement parks. I’m so grateful I found you as I have seen from the outside some of the places you r explored and it was amazing to see what they looked like inside. I loved this video and it makes me sad that people did graphite on the walls it’s such a gorgeous and historical building how could anyone disrespect it like that. Thank you for sharing and you got a new follower over here xx loving your videos so far and this place gave me Hogwarts meets beauty and the beast feelings and with it being in France I feel like it had a lot of inspiration from beauty and the beast xxx
This is what you do best Josh...finding amazing abandoned locations and bringing them to us...... This is your true jam. You seem to have a great love and appreciation for the beautiful things of the past and abandoned. This is something uniquely you and in my opinion...your best gift. Never stop living that dream. This was amazing. Thanlyou. 🖤💙🐈⬛
It’s just amazingly mind-boggling how things are left this way and it makes you wonder the endless stories and possibilities of how and why. I truly wish we had footage of life and time being spent in these early on moments before cameras.
Love how you tell about the abandoned places you go to. It is too sad that places you go to are just left to rote away. Beautiful scenery Josh and friends. Love your videos and content Josh.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This place has been empty since 1912. Its like you gone back in time to view this building. Its really great that this survived being untouched up to now, it even survived two world wars which is incredible. Beautiful place.
Josh you might be young but you have a gentle eye for Perfection and beauty. I love how you explain things and you're right one day where we stand right now will be like you're seeing right there. The past is so amazing and wonderful so we need a take care of it and embrace what we have today so our children and children to come can enjoy it tomorrow.
Absolutely amazing explore! Definitely earned a new subscriber. I love that you take it seriously enough to explore the history without disturbing or vandalizing anything. When the house was built the family likely was of high enough standing to have a live in priest. They were possibly very devout in their faith given all of the religious symbols throughout the home. The chapel would have been big enough to hold most of the house's occupants including servants in the back of the room and along the floor. Considering the size of the house itself it's very probable that there were quite a few house servants and grounds servants; on top of the actual family of the house. It would have been a very large household overall. Very busy and bustling I would imagine! The mannequin in the library is called a Dress Form! :D
This really is inspiring! I love this type of video. This video hit just a little different then every other video in existence. I love your videos josh! Keep up what your doing!
Gorgeous... love the curved walls, windows, the wooden furniture, books, trunks, machines, railings then everything single other object and aspect of the chateau!! Growing up, my grandma Kay found and scored my Furby for my Christmas present, loved the hex/octagon packaging! Also, growing up, I loved making the foot pedal go as fast as possible on the antique Singer my Mammaw had... and I have always been obsessed with (and want to own my own)this antique study my Grandma Martie has!
Josh this place is so beautiful, I bet it was stunning back in it's day, it so sad it's just left, and boy that furniture the detail that goes into it is outstanding, keep up great work 👍 👏👏😘🇬🇧
Agreed! Josh is fantastic and he always does an amazing job on his videos, he's one of the few who inspired me to pick up a camera 🙂 Hello from BC Canada 🇨🇦
This is awesome you go to many places like this. It’s so hard to find them I’ve been trying to find places like this to explore but it’s hard lol we’ll keep up the work your doing great !
Back when the original part of this house is built, it was not uncommon for the family to have a chapel on the grounds or in the house. I follow a château that somebody is restoring and living in, and they have a chapel on the ground.
Thank you for sharing your explore. What a magnificent castle. My favorite room is the servants kitchen. I love the pans hanging on the wall, and the rustic tables. I hope the owners are able to catch up on the taxes owed and live and love their home.
These exploration videos that you have done are amazing. I would assume they’d have a small private chapel there given the fact that it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. I loved the furniture and the library. I much prefer these types of videos versus the supposedly haunted places you’ve done. I admired the way you featured the beauty of the buildings.
@exploringwithjosh I’m just getting back into watching more of your videos again! Making the time! And oh wow! I just started watching the beginning - the scenic aerial shots are amazing and on point! Nicely done! The videographer’s storytelling eye!
I've watched many of these yt channel shows regarding these beautiful places left to rot , black mold , and collapsing ceiling crushing beautiful furniture, artwork and pictures. And the vandalism 💔. It's too the point where the remaining family should be given 5-6yrs to reclaim it, fix it OR ALL goes to county of existence. And the country should take responsibility, and it all ends up as an estate sale to the public ( yard sale ) , then those beautiful furniture, glass, chandeliers can be purchased. Enuff of sad tours w sad music of these beautiful historic thing rotting away 💔 😢 . I've watched 100s rot away at some point they will be turned to dust if this continues.

Why
I can almost guarantee that Indonesian couple would make that very hard. It's incomprehensible but some people buy things just to keep others from getting it. I would love to be wrong however.
grow up
Then they could charge admission or take donations to maintain the place and also create jobs for people.
they would have to do that to most buildings and places then ahahaha
The curved door, the stained glass window in the church, the library!!!!😍😍 I'm absolutely mesmerized by this place. This chateau is magical in every detail
Hey Josh! If you’re curious I translated that graffiti in the area with the small grandfather clock, and “on vous voit a bon” translates to “we see you well” which gave me creepy vibes

This is the esthetic I LIVE for! The architecture. The designing. It’s all stunning. If I could build a dream home, this would be almost identical.

It reminds me of WW2 movies. The soldiers always seek shelter in some abandoned french chateau.
