How ominous is this. I queued for battlegrounds this morning as it's something I never do. In second guessing my PVE / dungeon / trial build, I backed out of battlegrounds. Now here comes Avid Necro with a PVP build that uses Corpseburster, which I also use. Thanks brother 🙂
Only just starting to build up pvp necro. Starting to collect the corpse burster. I saw the nobility decay in IA and was like "hmm I bet those together would make a tough nut to crack necro tank" Thanks for confirming that's not a dumb idea :)
Thanks for sharing your build. I do like the idea of warrior's opportunity but it's not buffing your corpseburster as far as I'm aware since it's magic damage, unless I'm missing something. It's still good tho with all the other martial damage you have. I will try the build in cyrodil.
Just to help you there, martial damage includes poison, disease, bleed, and physical. So your venom skull, detonating siphon, blastbones, and colossus. :)
Hex proof is a great option! It still acts as a snare removal and negates other negative effects as well. Freeing up your modality. However, if you have scribing, there’s PLENTY to tinker with in there that’ll still give you snare removal plus other buffs.
Man I put together a build yesterday with my necro but I HATE THE NEW BGS!!!! The arena is to damn small I have 32k resistances and 34k health yet I still die to merciless resolve and vicious death. Running pariah and essence thief and it’s been working pretty good but I still get bombed
I’ve been told that this one is by far the hardest hitting. I’ve even seen people perform better with dawnbreakers instead of colossus but that’s just my preference.
Which morph of downbreaker you recommend for this setup? And would you say that this stamina build is perfoms better for pvp than your army of the dead 2.0 build? @avidnecro
I think this seems like your most viable build so far. However since its launch I have completely lost my taste for the S&S mythic. Like when you say that you don’t have to add major evasion to this build bc of the mythic. I’m thinking that’s kinda iffy cause you have no way of getting that buff when you need it vs the damage ones. So I always end up feeling like I have none of the buffs rather than all of them at once, like everyone else seem to feel. Ofc offensive ones are a bit easier to time your combo around
You’re not wrong. One thing I’m currently still learning is to pair the RNG of the mythic to my playstyle. Learn which buff you have up and play accordingly rather offense or defense. If I have major courage up am I getting beat on? Use the buff for healing. Get it?
If they would just make detonating siphon "blows up corpse on ground in targeted area" instead of making it do the burst at the end/after switching targets. It's such an easy fix, but this lazy dog crap company doesn't want anyone to have fun in PVP.
I agree. I think it would have made much more sense to have it explode in a 5 meter radius and then if someone was hit they have the dot on them like a sticky dot.

I meant to say the detonating syphon. The class skill still does an explosion of disease damage.

Yea. Those bomb sets unfortunately no matter what your running you just can’t avoid it. Not my cup of tea.

How was your regen able to get so high after buffing up? I cannot get mine above 1600 mag regen and my stam regen is trash too.
Pots, passives, race. I think that’s it.
