      It seems my issue wasn't throttle body related and actually needed to replace the whole block. Piston was fried so I'm still waiting on engine to be replaced.

    no testing? how is throwing parts at something saving money?

    • @richardkeith7571
      @richardkeith7571 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does all the time especially if you know what it is, my Chrysler 200 2012 2.4 kept randomly stalling no engine light no codes took it to 6 major dealerships no one could figure it out.
      I did my own trouble shooting after replacing my fuel pump didn't work, I found the positive wire to my fuel pump that runs to a TIPM module Totally Integrated power module.
      I stripped the fuel pump positive and ran a jumper wire to the switched power outlet so when I turn the key on the pump is powered up.
      I myself no help found that the fuel pump relay soldered deep within the module was bad. I went to the junk yard and bought 2 for $20 when usually they are 1,800 new hooked all the harness connectors to it did the 12 seconds relearn procedure with the ignition.
      Fixed the problem most newer mechanics rely on the engine trouble codes and if it takes more time to figure out they try and sell ya other things, your so called throwing parts when in all actually it's considered trouble shooting.
      After they suggested a new battery, I and the alternator. Ignition coils and plugs, crank sensor, cam position sensor, VVT Solenoid's, coolant temp sensor, Oil Temp sensor, MAP sensor.
      I declined all that and asked why that all needed to be replaced they said there's no specific test to determine what was causing the random stalling without a code or engine light illuminated.
      I noticed it was the same symptom of fuel related. So that's when I went searching for the fuel pump relay after getting a junk yard pump and replacing it still stalling.
      The fuel pump relay is soldered inside the Totally Integrated power module you can't get to the relay.
      Did my bypass and it worked no longer stalled. Worked until I got the modules from the junk yard now fixed

      @@richardkeith7571 throwing parts is not trouble shooting 😆 it's loading a parts cannon... Clearly the "techs" you took it to were/are incompetent.

    • @richardkeith7571
      @richardkeith7571 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@madmike214 well that's 6 different places, with no way to actually diagnose the fuel pump relay you have to troubleshoot.
      I didn't throw parts I declined, but if no trouble codes and no way to physically get to the fuel pump relay soldered onto the Module which was acting up randomly.
      There is actually no way of knowing do you know it took me 6 months to actually find out myself it was the soldered in fuel pump relay with my own trouble shooting.
      So your saying that 24 mechanics where incompetent, no one I mean no one could figure it out, and out of the 6 places I took it 3 was major Dealerships, Chrysler/Dodge dealership.
      The other's was Car X, Dobbs, Firestone.
      Some had it for 3 weeks diagnosing it no one could figure it out.

    • @richardkeith7571
      @richardkeith7571 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@madmike214 also the stalling was random sometime took up to an hour before it would stall.
      Sometimes 15mins sometimes an hour and 30 minutes. So yeah no way of knowing exactly what it was so that's why I bought a fuel pump from the junk yard and threw it in.
      But when first started would get voltage to the fuel pump, it would stall and have to wait up to an hour for it to restart back up.
      And each time it'd stall it was like it was running out of fuel with over half a tank of fuel. These newer cars especially Chrysler/ Dodge have a TIPM Totally Integrated power module almost everything is inside it chips that run the wipers headlight horn turns signal starter relay soldered and fuel pump relay soldered inside.
      So you tell me how you would find out what it was since 24 mechanics at 6 different places couldn't figure it out with fancy scan tools worth 20,000

    • @madmike214
      @madmike214 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richardkeith7571 just because you went to 6 shitty shops doesn't prove your point lol....dealer is not top tear by the way. And yes there are tests to prove or the relay...that's actually a common failure for Chrysler tipm's and a bypass is not something new... you can also open some of them up and replace the micro relays as well. Look through South Main Auto videos he has done it I believe in one of his videos or maybe Pine Hollow auto diagnostics has done the bypass and both of them have done videos on testing
      If you didn't throw parts at it...why did you put a fuel pump in it? What test lead you to replace it...if tested it you would have known it didn't have a power or a ground to run so why would you have replaced apart that is not getting what it needs to run unless you're ....throwing Parts at it
