Wilt is the best in comparison to his competition, but it's a whole new league now. The skill has improved to where its a whole new sport. Wilt would do great if he grew up playing against modern competition. If he came out now, shooting underarm free throws at 50% and trying his weird reverse layup in the post, he would be a laughing stock. Wilt played in a league with 3 7 footers and 8 teams. Now we have 3 7 footers on most teams. Wilt was a crazy athlete even for modern times, but he was nowhere near David Robinson's physique, Hakeem's skill, Wemby's range, Shaq's aggression, Joker's mind. Today he'd just be another athletic big dude

Only one who would have been strong enough to handle him was Shaq, and he would have ate Shaq alive with his athleticism and that aforementioned fadeaway.
Hopefully the game will keep advancing to the point where I'll be an old guy talking about how good MJ was, but young guys will see his highlights as pretty average
