MPE is not standard. 2020 is the only year that sounds aggressive the car was detuned for 2021, 2022, 2023. I had to install the exhaust myself on my 2020 and it sounds amazing. Expensive but it cracks at higher rpms like a race car and also quiet in comfort when needed.
FI exhausts are overrated imo. They are usually just very loud and extremely expensive. If you just want it to be loud, you can just straight pipe it and save a lot of money 😅 That’s where custom exhausts come in, some mechanics that are specialized in exhausts can make you a good sounding one for a lot less money. And cause it’s custom, they can help you with giving you what you want. Akrapovic is often going the same route as FI. Just loud and very expensive. Especially the titanium ones of course, that are basically useless for what you need. I prefer lower tones. If you want high pitched you should get a V10/12 to scream for you 😅
i would choose the FI ,stock sounds good because this is not in europe ,if this bmw was for the european market it wouldnt sound that good I think ..so in europe an aftermarket exhaust makes even more sense
Always drive responsibly and watch out for elder people than maybe have issues with hearing or some might get scared hearing the bangs. I'm a petrol head myself though. Just be safe out there guys and be respectful to each other

Yeah, I like my stock exhaust. Just throw some quad tips on it, call it done, and save a couple grand. I have a '20 so I get the burbles even stock.

Mine has the M performance exhaust. I think BMW added it as standard in either 2021 or 2022. It’s more on the quiet side, but sounds great.
The true M Performance exhaust is like a $3k option.

In a case of M340i, M performance exhaust is the best at quality and quantity …
but also most expensive. U could get any of these for about 1800 - 2500. Versus the 5 - 7k M Performance exhaust.
