In this Slay the Spire gameplay, Baalorlord does an Ascension 20 run with Silent. First, he gives tips on choosing a path and a starting bonus. Later on, he explains his decision for each card he chooses and why it's important to the build. Towards the end, he gears up for an epic Heart fight you don't want to miss. I use a few mods for Slay the Spire. All of them are Quality-of-Life improvements and do not have any effect on the gameplay. Here are all of the mods I have active:
Slay the Relics Exporter, used for the live stream: steamcommunity...
Relic Stats, to keep track of how many times the relic effects happened: steamcommunity...
UI Sliders, to reposition the Discard and Exhaust piles, so that they are not hidden behind the camera: steamcommunity...
Run History Plus, giving us more info in the Run Summary screen about the run: steamcommunity...
Map Marks, for path highlighting - here, typically, Green means an easy, intended path, and Orange or Red means a harder path that I might take if I get good rewards: github.com/cas...
Even though I do not use it, I recommend Minty Spire for people looking for various Quality-of-Life improvements: steamcommunity...
I have to confess: although I love your content I mainly use your videos for my naps. Which may not seem like a thing but let me tell you that if you suffer from insomnia, having a reliable source of rest is VERY important. So thanks for your shooting voice and for not screaming or including strange sudden noises. ❤
Same, I think it also helps that sometimes you will explain the same thing in different videos (i.e card synergies). You always sound somewhat familiar

Honestly same, though I usually go back and watch again to get all the sweet, sweet strategic data
I can't believe how quickly this deck came online once you got those blade dances. I would've been so discouraged with that start but I guess it goes to show you should always persevere.
One of my favorite things to do with silent is Panache+Shivs, getting Kunai as well is just the icing on an already excellent cake!
The amount of shivs this deck had was no choke
Very poetic that after passing on Accuracy on floor one the Power Potion gave you 2 against the heart!

You get to use 1-2 potions every fight when you have both Alchemise+ and Potion Belt.
Yeah I would have used a few more potions in the Act 3 bosses than Baalor did
Only a few seconds in and it's nice to have the "not mastered" cards explained. That's a really cool thing to have in the game... crazy how endlessly playable this game is
Agreed. When I was younger I never imagined replaying and replaying a game but here I am at 400 hours. I can definitely see it now
I kinda want to replay this seed and have a Sadistic Nature Accuracy Envenom shiv run
Had a run with the +dmg boss relic for 0 attacks... I forgot the name.
Choke, Envenom, Sadistic Nature appeared at the end, Panache, Accuracy, and a heap of Shivs (and relics)... I think the relic skull for +1 poison was there too.
Was amusing.
Until your videos, it never even crossed my mind to pair speed/flex potions with an artifact potion or Orange Pellets... mind blown
when you look at it right, Orange Pellets is like the most busted artifact. it's my must buy whenever i see it really.

Just had a great shiv run too! Accuracy, kunai, shuriken, AND the fan that gives block. Absolutely bonked the heart on A20 thanks to the luck of finding amazing synergy. The wraith form and orange pellets helped too.

I think Ring of the Serpent is an underrated relic. The only turn where you lose total card draw is the very first one. You break even on the second and come out ahead on the third. So for every fight that goes three or more turns, it ends up doing more in the long run.
I think that act 2 card reward was a perfect example of the power of black star. Each option there was individually powerful because of the surplus of relics obtained from black star.
Idk why but I've gotten choke on so many Silent runs recently. Also discard seems hot rn, hard not to take acro+tactician
I had a great deck just very similar to this, with an added corpse explosion to make quick work of any multiple enemy fights including the donut one. Got wrecked in the end by the time boss though.
Basically from here on out I’m only going to make game decisions that are “thematically appropriate”
As soon as I heard you play Against the Storm on stream as well I went to the vod channel to hunt down some content. Fantastic game! I smashed out Prestige 20 within a fortnight of buying it. Now eagerly awaiting a full release to try my hand at all the updates since. Post some gameplay on the plays channel :)

Is master of strategy really the right choice here or is it just because of mastery that it was chosen? All 3 options were absolutely incredible, but apotheosis still seems like the best of the three

I am surprised you haven’t had 2 master strategy in your deck before. It’s a good great card to pick up as many as possible(without spending a lot of money)

Would the Tiny House ever be worth it if it offered twice as much as it did - two potions, 100 gold, two card picks, two upgrades, etc.
As it is it just feels like it's never worth it and it's just a newb trap.
Baalor has previously said he thinks Tiny House would be worth taking if it gave a random common relic in addition to the current things, which would be still thematically fitting.

just had a deck with x2 choke x2 AI x2 gamble x3 reflex x2 blade dance x2 panache and apotheosis it was so strong and destroyed the spire
