she was incredibly boring before apart form the epic water layzorz it's a big improvement her armour is the best thing about her so glad we got that back I liked that fight tho
Same, i found myself not really enjoying him that much because the fight itself isn't that interactive or fun. Even the supposed spectacle doesn't look that good to me due to the way that rise looks, i found that the wind looks really ugly lol.
Imho with time and knowing him better you Will enjoy more the fight. It's quite spectacle oriented, but It could be technical with an appropriate study
Maybe you were a bit too harsh, but probably because LS isn't the best weapon for this fight. That & you were being kinda impatient with the Sacred Sheathe. But I used LS the first time too & it took me like 4-5 minutes just to get to red bar, ngl. It definitely helps to know the monster & bring good switch skills for it, like Reckoning Combo & Helm breaker. You did better than my first attempt tho lol
It's the same thing with the violet mizutsune, most of the fanbase online swears it's a great fight but The Art Of Long Sword dislikes it. TBH, I agree with his takes, I hate fighting both Violet Mizutsune and Amatsu.
@@russellmartorell9860 It's basically any monster that spams elemental attacks a lot and keeps their distance is annoying as hell to fight as a LS main. Kinda like zoner characters in fighting games you just wanna get in and beat em up but fireballs keep you at the other side of the screen. I have this issue with velkhana, amatsu, narwa and the other serpent, etc.
In the older generation...amatsu is really really easy to fight with LS and hammer...in sumbreak they gotta change the hierarchy man...dual blade used to struggle against older gen amatsu... in sunbreak it's compatible 👍👍👍
My first fight using LS was rought too. running around and using sakura slash. But on the second try - i properly used balista and also Picked tempered spirit blade and serene pose. Its a spectacle fight but we have a lot of openings tbh.
My runs with LS I find the fight mid tier but with weapons that have more aerial moves it’s one of the best fights in the game. Fighting Amatsu with IG, aerial based lance, GS, DB and gunlance is extremely fun and a good 7.5-8/10 challenge.
Somehow I survived this no carts but 25 min fight. I just kept Sakura slashing and spirit comboing. I also messed up hard and tanked the ultimate attack. Clip is on my channel.
I fought amatsu with CB first, but LS is very difficult to get levels. Opted to using barrel bombs with tempered counter method to gain levels instead. The pacing is really slow unfortunately but it's alright. Amatsu probably is much weaker because my level is way above MR 10, so that's a downside. Think Capcom should've taken this into consideration since they know people have already grinded the anomaly system they've implemented.
I don't like the fight either, but not as bad as those Rise bosses like narwa. I could not fight those without malding and I didn't have issues with this guy. Risen Shagaru is a much more fun and difficult fight imo. Risen Valstrax still takes the cake for hardest fight tho
i used sacred sheathe the first time i fought him with evade extnder 3 and evade window 2, i can easily dodge attacks and close in fast when it's free hit
He kicked my ass the first time and I am no why as good as you are. After you fight him a couple times he is not that hard. He is one of my favotite but do like Shagaru Magala better.
Fight was def underwhelming in my opinion, its just kind of there. Also it was just me missing the demon flight over and over lol. And then him just kinda spinning sometimes? idk. Weird experience
I find this fight isn’t very good for Longsword due to all the attacks and the shifting hit boxes. This fight it way more enjoyable for weapons like Dual Blades.
I'm hyping up that this monster got a comeback but yeah sure the fight is garbage bc for me it's just "TOO MUCH" like they just put every possible moves and its "magical" powers then dumped it all so made it LOOK hard to fight. Basically what I'm saying is there is no art of fighting this monster.

I also didn't enjoy the fight. Amatsu itself was cool, but I found the fight to be pretty boring.

To be fair, he's not the first Longsworder I've heard complaining about Amatsu.

Amatsu is one of my top rated elders. I loved this fight so much in MHP3rd can't wait until the PS4 Update is on😍

Amatsu for a LS user is a bit hard I think because the monster is out of reach a lot of the time. Though Amatsu with IG or DB is super fun

While he is complaining about the fight Phinx (another LS runner) already destroyed Amatsu without it being a speedrun hehe.
