Also! You can layer plastic grocery bags over the top, and melt them in place with a heat gun for a burned skin effect. Just layer black, red, and gray paint to help sell it :)
Jesus, I love you guys! You have been so much help over the years. I've been working on a zombie epic for two years now with my friends, and all your gore effects have really helped! :)
I actually made one for halloween and ended up bringing it in for our school's production of Shakespeare's "As You Like It" and convinced the director to let me dress it up as the man himself and sit him in the back of the auditorium for the end of the show. At curtain call, we had our senior moments when we thanked our very special guest, gestured to the back where he was, and a spot light lit the seat and we got a laugh every show. Best use of $50 I ever spent.
This looks like a fantastic start to a Majora's Mask Redead costume. Minus the inside skeleton, the skin would look really good on a thin actor if you used darker paints exaggerate and shade hollower features like the ribs. Cool build.
I would put it in a loosely assembled cardboard box, in a friends garage. On top of something that he doesn't use often so there could be months of delay before the trap is sprung.
You forgot to mention that liquid latex is next to impossible to find locally unless you happen to live in a good-sized city. Otherwise you have to order it online and pay outrageous shipping prices. I'd estimate the cost of building this corpse to be around $70-100. Unless you know of some nationwide chain the US that sells the stuff.
That is awsome.Iam so glad i came accross this video.Man i cant wait till this weekend to try this out.I wish you guys showed a bit more of the after everything was done. Thanks i subscribed and gave 5 skulls.
So, I'm working on this and I'm stuck at the collarbone. I'm not really sure what would be the best way to put them onto the pvc. Is the hook of the hanger behind the neck and the rest bent to a straight angle hovering over the pvc?
cool! I think the ribs where a bit too big, and the chest area wasn't stuffed enough.(Also a side effect of making the rips so big) But you can cut the price down, by using latex caulk instead of liquid latex. Its like $1.50 for a 10oz tube I think, and you can mix a little bit of water to thin it up and make to go further. It can take awhile to dry tho.
I had an idea for Halloween decorations. I have a corpse and hang it from a window so it looks like some hell house. This is perfect for what I was thinking of.
Ok I went through alot of the comments trying to find one about the liquid laytex and do not see one. I went to Lowes tonight and they say they have no such thing... Was I at the wrong kind of store. Please help where do I buy it?
Im gonna try and make two half corps and plant them in my front drive way for Halloween. thanks a bunch. this is exactly what Im looking for.my kids is gonna go bananas. btw how long is the entire process? Thanks again & wish me luck
If I had a fake corpse, when I go over to my friend's house this weekend I would put it on the toilet reading a newspaper, unlock the door, sneak out while they aren't looking and hide.
@lurkerrekrul You can go to your local hardware store. It takes alot longer to dry, but is has the same properties as the Liquid latex . I used ECO 420 outdoor carpet adhesive, which was purchased of
@crystal15122 no you dont understand, its just not really how the show works, their not about explosions too much. their mainly about props, makeup and blood.
i need help. i understand how to make this, and i understand how to puppet it. but does anyone know how exactly i would make it seem as though it had a moving face. i need a really decayed zombie flying across a room. im fully aware that this is going to involve computer effects and stuff like that. but what would i do? but a green screen face on this then film the actor in front of green screen and then put them together?
what if you can mod this build, leave the fake skull alone, put tiny red lights in the eyes, combine it with the muscle suit, make fake skeleton hands, and paint it all silver to create a Terminator endoskeleton?
@trixytrix98 dont get me wrong I would like that too, but its just its not what BFX is about. they never do anything explosiony, they just use detonation films.
I still remember watching this when I was little
2020 everyone?? i miss the old days
Also! You can layer plastic grocery bags over the top, and melt them in place with a heat gun for a burned skin effect. Just layer black, red, and gray paint to help sell it :)
I miss these builds
Watched this when it came out, and almost 10 years later its helping me with a school project.
This is nostalgic
if you're moving house, just bury it for the new tenants.... always a winner !
+Gav Tatu Throwing them out on the road side is fun too.
Yaf

That came out pretty good!
I would hang it up in a friend's room, and then watch his reaction when he got home.
You should make a huge halloween test film with all the halloween stuff you've done on the show until now.
That would be awsome
We built 5 bodies for a Halloween party! TY for your instructions! Best regards from Mexico city
I miss these!
you guys allways have the best
This is really cool, Guys! Thank you for sharing this with us. It's sooo cool!!
I WANT A MOGULWEEN FLIPCAM
you know the irony i would enter the contest but i have no camera and i really want that flip man its awesome
I used strong twine instead of zip ties. It's cheaper and stronger, but it can leave nodes little loose.
I would put it in a loosely assembled cardboard box, in a friends garage. On top of something that he doesn't use often so there could be months of delay before the trap is sprung.
Guy in the test film really looks like Cillian Murphy.

I'd leave it in the driver's seat of my car, parked in the McDonalds drive-thru!
Great looking props, guys!
Wow Eric! Nice vampire teeth at the beginning, where do I get those?
That is awsome.Iam so glad i came accross this video.Man i cant wait till this weekend to try this out.I wish you guys showed a bit more of the after everything was done. Thanks i subscribed and gave 5 skulls.
@Drakestriker333 - Thanks, I've never even heard of carpet latex before. Any recommendations for stores to check?
This is one of your best!!
tip cut the spin in half to make a bendable spin!
So, I'm working on this and I'm stuck at the collarbone. I'm not really sure what would be the best way to put them onto the pvc. Is the hook of the hanger behind the neck and the rest bent to a straight angle hovering over the pvc?
My kinda holiday!!! :P
Well I think that i will take the corpse to the mall and watch a scary movie with him.>:D
AWSOME Tut!
Indy! !! Mougelween lol I miss this so much.
that scared the crap out of me
when the guy opened the door
the quality get better after a while ;)
@2hagerty They used elmers glue ones, like the white liquid school glue, apparently it works somewhat similarly
Make a gremlins puppet.
Awesome! Id make a fake corpes for a silent hill halloween tour. Only with a nurse costume with a pyramid head dragging it along.
AWESOME!! THANKS from Argentina!
i love you indy mogul!!! sooooo cool :)

Classic Mogul! I think you should show us how to make a fake Erik Beck head.
I would take my corpse and put it in my trailer that I'm making! Thx for the tips!
I like the tune you used in the test film trailer, Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by Bach
hey you are the best indy mogul, i have so much learn from you guys i have only one question why don,t you upload in HQ anymore?
Indy, i love you in Shawn of the Dead.
man this is going to be great...i will use this this year in my "grave yard" yard...this is going to be great
Wish I had the money to make this. I'd just have it in my room all year round.
you guys are awesome!
Im gonna try and make two half corps and plant them in my front drive way for Halloween. thanks a bunch. this is exactly what Im looking for.my kids is gonna go bananas. btw how long is the entire process?

wouldn't it be simpler and more accurate to use a plastic skeleton instead of that pvc?
I would put it under my bed sheets and when my mom wakes me up she craps herself
yeah i'm going to make it
Yes.
Joined brothers!!!
I'd make it fall from the sky, jsut to see how my friends would react
@trixytrix98 in what way does that sound like a good idea for BFX. and besides just take elements from previous episodes to get that.
@lurkerrekrul You can go to your local hardware store. It takes alot longer to dry, but is has the same properties as the Liquid latex . I used ECO 420 outdoor carpet adhesive, which was purchased of
not really, it seems that youtube reduced the quality for the partners?
If I made this, I'd put it in my worst enemy's locker and wait for him to open it.
He reminds me of Booger from Revenge of the Nerds, my favorite nerd!
its okay.
I had to order some online. No stores seem to have it.
I would AIM for them.....
It looks like a necromorph!
Awesome . Thank you
If I had a fake corpse, I would put it in my closet to scare my friends when they come over.
Where can I find a big bottle of latex for that price?
finally finished the zombie
i would put it in with the other rotting corpses in my basement and see if people could see which one was the fake one
This has Weekend at Bernie's 3 written all over it.
i would put in the bead while someone is sleeping when they wake up they'll get freaked out
Holy huge rib cage!
@crystal15122 no you dont understand, its just not really how the show works, their not about explosions too much. their mainly about props, makeup and blood.
i would put the corpse in a friend's bedroom when he returns from vacation
Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, nice.
what eric should have done was get only half the amount of coathangers, and use one coathanger to make two ribs, that way the chest
for an awsome movie affect put some squibs in it and set up a puppeter and control your "zombie" and if he gets shot set off your squibs!
will latex paint work instead of liquid latex
what can be used instead of liquid latex?
i would put it in my history teacher's class room.
1:58 - 2:07
Most epic slinky movie ever
I'd leave it in a random place at my school, probably a closet. I'd then hide with a camera and record the ensuing hilarity.
