    I literally just went through this on my 2000 SS. Naturally the pigtail wire broke and I had to replace that as well

      When I was removing the alternator I saw the little red pigtail wire attached to the alternator and it brought back memories when I was initially dealing with this.

    Where does the ground strap connected to, the one that's boltes to the chassis in front of the alternator

      It's been awhile since I've done this, but I pretty sure that you just hook it onto the bolt that the wire from the battery connects to (The big three wiring harness)

    You mentioned replacing replaceing the AC condenser. What is it doing to need replacement? My 99 Camaro only holds refrigerant for 2 days and I cannot find the leak. Any ideas?

      I've been lucky to not have to replace the AC condenser, yet.
