    Im not sure what your facination is wi th small sinks is, but when you have a small sink you often get a lot of water outside the bowl on the counter. Which you inevitably have to clean up. So no thanks to small sinks.

    Love my Shasta Phoenix 355fbx - the front bunkhouse (4 bunks) room is great for the kids, but the rear master bedroom suite really sold it for us!

    Finally a 5th wheel that makes sense for a family. I 100% need to buy this 5h wheel.

    I think this is a very clever design and I agree with the comment: "Ditch the outside kitchen and put in a washer and dryer....." or put in a combo unit. With that many kids, you'd be doing laundry 24/7.

    I love this layout!! We have a 292bhds that's very close to this layout but this one has another full bathroom!! And I get to keep my outside kitchen! We have 3 kids and this would be perfect for us to vacation in.

    Love the floorplan. I do think outside kitchens are a waste of space.

      I never use my outdoor kitchen. I would rather cook inside in comfort away from the humidity, bugs, and wind.

    Best looking bunkhouse RV I think I've seen! 42 feet is very long. We've been finding so many parks which have maximum 40 foot RV sites. Even with our 39.5 foot Montana 5th wheel, many national parks max out at 32 - 35 feet. Just need to look for parks which can handle this long beauty!

    I do commend Coachmen and Shasta for their innovative bunkhouse floorplans. I'm a huge fan of their front bunkroom Fifth wheels. HOWEVER, we finally were able to tour the Phoenix Shasta 355FBX at Hershey, which had 3 air conditioners, and that RV could not handle the 80 degree day. It was forever hot inside of that RV. It was also very loud with the direct dump AC opened. It got a little quieter when the direct dump was closed. And it cooled down about 3 degrees inside when we closed the black out blinds. I'm concerned though about the insulation in these cheaper fifth wheels. I wouldn't want to RV Texas in one. I still loved the layout, and that they are pursuing different bunk house floorplans. And that they are making innovations like the Azdel 6 and 3rd Air conditioners (Something they wouldn't even consider 2 years ago).

    • @08jkrubi
      @08jkrubi 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      My 355FBX has two AC units. I found that by blocking the ducting into two separate zones bunkroom/kitchen/living area zone 1 master bedrooom zone 2) the fwd ac unit operates cools the bunkroom and kitchen/living area much better. My ducting is blocked so that each unit only cools it's half of the rv instead of attempting to send air 30 feet away in a very inefficient ducting. RV Airflow inserts helped as well.

    • @TimsTechThoughts
      @TimsTechThoughts 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@08jkrubi I did the exact same thing with my 355fbx! 2AC units, and the 1 is the master bedroom only. The other is living room / front bunkhouse. Made a huge difference, as on these furrion ACs, the temp sensor is inside the AC return housing, not on the thermostat. I pulled my temp sensors out and now they poke down through the filter into the room.

    • @08jkrubi
      @08jkrubi 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not sure what AC units you have: mine are Coleman Mach. A 15k unit in the kitchen area and a 13.5k unit in the master bedroom. My 355 has a temp sensor on the wall in the master bedroom and in the hallway outside the bunkroom. Before I blocked the ducting between the kitchen and master bedroom the master bedroom would be freezing cold and the bunkroom would be 85+ deg. Because the master was so cold that ac unit would never kick on when the t-stat is set to auto/cool. Such an annoying and inefficient setup as delivered but it's working so much better now. @@TimsTechThoughts

    • @TimsTechThoughts
      @TimsTechThoughts 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@08jkrubi I have 2 Furrion 15k units on mine. The master bedroom unit would rarely turn on because the living room unit was sending its cold air back through the ducts to it. And the bunkhouse of course suffered! RVAirflow inserts in and blocked that duct between rooms - 100% better. Bunkhouse is good except when reaching around 95 outside

    Truly an amazing layout with this RV making feel much bigger. Nice to see no kitchen island that seems to be wasted space to big the openers feeling to move around much easier. The bunk house area is amazingly with a full bathroom with lots of storage. Only thing is the heating ducks in the floor needs to go bye bye.

    Does that only come with a single A/C (with an option for two)? I skipped through some of it and may have missed it. At 42 feet, you almost need three A/C’s. At that length, two A/C’s not be sufficient during the hot summers in the south?!?!

    Good looking unit but comments continue to be made Azdel eliminates the possibility of delam. This is not true. Azdel replaces one of the components that could cause delam: luan. However if water were to get inside the wall, the open-cell block foam will still become mush. The wall will still be delaminated.
