🍣 I just got approved for the Chase Sapphire Preferred and am waiting on it to arrive. I'll just dump everything on the card for the next three months. Using the points for some aspirational travel. Thanks for all the tips Sebby
1) I have 2 Citi Strata Premier bonuses I'm working toward right now and P2 has a CSP bonus. 2) So far it is just non-category spend and some travel spend, but I'll start working in grocery spend or maybe restaurant spend if I get worried about hitting them closer to the end. 3) I have no idea yet. Hoarding for the future! CSP ones will almost certainly go to Hyatt though.
I was iffy about being able to get the CSP since I was at 6/24 with 2 accounts falling at the end of the month. However, I heard about the elevated CSP/CSR offer ending very soon and decided i should just give it a try. Fortunately, I applied this morning for the CSP and was approved. I don't have a long credit history, but I have diverse accounts with great standing. Just wanted to put this out there for anyone who might be borderline.
I just signed up for the Citi Strata. Using my summer travel to meet the spend requirements, so I can hopefully redeem the points on Turkish Airlines later this year.
I think my next card is the us bank business connect with the increased 75k point offer. I like that they give you several. Months to hit the minimum spend compared to the other banks. We're not all high rollers out here.
🍣 great video Sebby, I learned a lot on the southwest and Wyndham cards! We just completed the Sapphire Preferred bonus and currently working on the Ink Cash bonus - the first tranche should be easy to get, but I’m worried about the second since my business doesn’t have high spend but we’ll see. We are looking at going to an all inclusive Hyatt in either Mexico or Jamaica next summer, so we’re stacking UR points for that. Going to be looking at the new Hyatt card if it ever comes and maybe a Delta card since they have nonstop flights to Cancun and Jamaica from LAX and because I currently have silver Medallion; I’m going to try to keep it in 2025 by telling them we just had a baby this year so our travel was stunted. Thank you for the continued CC information!
🍣 Have the Wyndham Business Earner card and used matched to Caesars Diamond in April while in Vegas. When I asked about the celebration dinner credit, the guest relations associate said I needed to gamble to activate the dinner credit. I didn't believe her, and when I walked over to Nobu, I had the bartender run my players card, and he said the celebration credit was in fact there. It would seem like a ton of people are doing the match just for the food and not actually playing so they're trying to get people to actually play. I was by myself, so $2 after tax and tip for Nobu was definitely a win 😂
Thanks for always keeping us in the loop, Sebastian!! You were a big help early on in my points and miles journey, and your tips helped me make two trips happen to see my now fiance and soon wife in the Philippines!
I have 720 equifax 718 experian and 688 TU, would I be approved for chase sapphire preferred? I heard they pull credit 2-3 times.don’t want to get hit with does hard inquiries if I’m not going to get approved 😢

Keep looking and waiting Hyatt is doing well as is. Time will tell
I’m definitely not so not everyone because Chase sucks when it comes to their bogus rules

I want the Venture X but it’s hard to get approved when you got 11 cards 😅

Thank you for the heads up on the expiration of Chase Sapphire bonus offer.

Just got the csp. Have some once a year fees coming up. Won’t be problem coming up with min spend organically
