Unless I'm missing something is there anything different between ES335 and DG335 besides cosmetics and the Gibson burstbucker pickups? The price difference is out of line.
Epiphone signatures are now overpriced the bigger the artist is the bigger the price tag Id love a DG335 without a case and normal epiphone probuckers for $600-800
Like Tom Delongs fender is more than most strats…… you’re paying for the signature with two less pickups and less components period. It’s absurd that signature cost what they do because of whose they are… that being said, Dave Grohls seems appropriate for what you’re getting with it
@@E6ABHnavy I relent on this one. Thanks to all who have set me straight. Nearly ALL the hardware is different, and higher quality on the DG335 than the Epiphone standard issue ES335.
Hey! They're extremely similar guitars. The point of the video is to highlight that this Epiphone edition is on par with its American counterparts. Definitely worth checking out.
now that epiphone is selling chinese guitars for 1000+ bucks we need them to bring out the maestro line again to have some actually affordable " for every stage " guitars lmfao
Too late expensive for an epiphone. Would be nice to have one but not really the kind of thing I would gig, it's the Dave Grohl guitar, would look a bit daft playing it unless you were a Foo's cover band.. defo think they should have priced it lower.
I've read it's one of the best selling Epiphone guitars... Seems like the price feels justified by a lot of people. Epiphone still has the more budget friendly guitars
Well of course, this is the guitar that defines the sound of those songs. I mean imagine demoing the Gallagher Epiphone and not smashing out the Iconic Oasis tracks recorded using that guitar.
I hate people that come on the comments to slag off people playing guitar. He is way batter than me. If you think you might be better that him, well whoop-dee-doo. But you obviously have other deficiencies, like not being a good human.
This is not the only Epi with Gibson parts . This dude doesn't know what he is talking about . Couldn't even be bothered to tune tge guitar before the Demo
I hope that guitar is capable of sounding better than the demo. In the first 30.seconds you managed to do every mistake with an overdrive tone I can think of.
Hey thank you for commenting! Your engagement means a lot to our channel. Could you please provide a detailed list of all these mistakes you are talking about? Thank you! :)
What's wrong with it? I thought he did an alright job running through some Foo Fighters numbers. Wouldn't mind hearing a few more clean examples though.
Why is that a dealbreaker for you? I can only think of a few reasons: 1. You oppose China's communist regime and thusly boycott EVERYTHING made in China (commendable, but seems unlikely). 2. You have reason to believe these guitars are being made in a sweatshop and are appalled by the disgusting labor practices (if so, please share your source) 3. You have a strict "buy American" (or whatever your home country is) policy because you want to support domestic manufacturing jobs (again, commendable, but unlikely). 4. You subscribe to the well-worn and misguided belief that the label "Made in China" is an indicator of poor quality (this is the one I'd put my money on, but I could be wrong). 5. You think that because this guitar is made in a country with a (generally) lower wage, the MSRP should be 10 bucks or something (if it's not #4, this would be my second guess) Is it one of these reasons, or did I miss one?
What is negative comment to say, I know there’s people out here who would love to have this model in in fact they’re already sold out in most places. It’s OK that you can’t afford it and don’t bother trying to justify that you have money on another comment.
A. It’s real, B. Not to disparage this channel or player, but other channels videos have showcased its playability and sound pretty well, C. So like, don’t buy one and go be sad somewhere else lol
I own a custom shop R6 and picked the DG335 from the London Gibson garage. It's a great guitar regardless of where its made...I mean..Ipphones are made there....
Blaring foo fighters out of a marshall whilst sat in front of a ferrari. Thats pretty damn cool

Oh shit.. we got a Good Grief demo
Is it top-heavy being a hollow body, where the head wants to dip down while you’re playing? I got rid of an SG because it was just awful with that
Not at all, they’re very balanced guitars
My 64 Trini lopez isn’t so I imagine this is fine as well.
Take a roll of pennys. Wrap them in electrical tape. Insert into the control cavity. You can use a dab of hot glue. Suddenly you have a balanced SG.
I love the sound of this. It does it's job. Meant to rip.
From the title I thought y’all had one of the originals 😭
where is the comparison? 🤣
So how does it compare to the OG? I don’t believe I heard a comparison mentioned…..

awesome video, had me @ Weenie Beenie!
Is this a limited run or will it be always available?
It's not a limited run
@@PeteWizzle super thanks. I'll wait for the hype to settle and then purchase
you did not call him "... the guitarist for the foo fighters, Dave Grohl..." did you?!? ;) (0:49) hehe ...can't wait to get mine

Interesting. Same song that Andertons did in their review of this guitar.
what’re you saying?
this guys cooler than andertons, cuz andertons are scammy liars thatre trying to sell you something….

it was already out of tune after 2 min of playing.
It wasn't in tune to begun with .
Is this guy actually a guitar player?
Upon first viewing of the video, yes, he indeed is playing

Who cares about the guitar. Jump in and give that car hell dude!!!
They gave a drummer a signature guitar? 😂😂😂 JK so rad!
Tone in the beginning is absolutely dreadful
Its great in my opinion... good video mate! I also did my demo on it, I'd appreciate if you checked out... 🙌🎸
‘Hand crafted in China!’ I’m out.👍😎
Better get off that non-USA made phone and computer you’re typing this trash on lol.
Poor baby. You realize that China and Asia in general, has been making stringed instruments for 1500 yrs or so, right?
your phone and most electronics are most likely made in China.

@@reverb508I’ve always hated when people say “it’s from China, I’m out.” They always have some misguided reason, but usually it’s really just racism.
