I am learning such a lot from your "restorations".Thank you.I didn't realise that you could buy USB-C charging ports with built in BMS as you were thinking of doing . Can you tell me where you source them ? Best Wishes M
For what its worth, melt glue would probably work well enough in keeping the pack together . Disassembly would be easy, just apply some IPA to the melt glue and wait a few minutes. Not messy.
Are you salvaging your lithium batteries, or buying them new ? I've converted a couple of small electric screwdrivers to lion from salvaged batteries, but find they don't have the same tork/power as the original NiCd batteries. Another good job, i do enjoy watching your videos, you deserve more views.
At the beginning I was salvaging 18650 cells from electric bike batteries. Now I am using new 18650 but they are expensive and hard to source in UK. If you use genuine LG or Samsung cells you don't have any problem with power. I wish I had more views to help cover the cost of the videos but some channels just don't get high views.
Try changing your TH-cam moniker to something specifically related to the type of videos you're uploading. Maybe something like "fixing stuff" added at the end of your title/moniker may help other fix it fans find your channel. Just a thought.

Thank you for commenting. I do sometimes use hot melt glue.

Nice
Thank you. These are excellent screwdrivers.
If you want more views, just title this kind of videos 'restoration of an old battery', the algorithm loves restoration videos. Just try it out.
Thank you
