Hey guys! Thanks for talking about this, we really appreciate it. Let me see if I can clarify a few things for you. Billy and Agnes: Billy, for us, never had a supernatural element like Michael Myers. Bob Clark made him human, and kept his identity hidden yes, but was never created to have that supernatural element. Although I can see how one may interpret one to exist. For us, we needed to figure out how to develop a character that largely should remain ambiguous, without showing or revealing everything. Although you saw more OF Billy in terms of his physical body, we never revealed his face, always kept him in shadow (even in Chapter 2) never revealed where he came from, or his back story. Just little bits to help push an ambiguous character forward. If we just did the same thing over again like in Black Christmas, we'd be doing.. well, the same thing over again. how we handled Billy will work for some, and not for others. The "Law and Order" scene lol. I'm sorry to hear it didn't work for you guys overall. It's actually one of our favorite scenes in the film, and obviously one of great importance that helps to connect everything. We feel the performances on both sides were very strong. But what works for some, may not work for others. Phone calls: Remember, Chapter 2 is not its own separate story with 3 acts. It's essentially the last half of the larger film. Chapter 1 was the first and half of the second act, and Chapter 2 is the end of the second act and all of the third act. So technically, you did have your phone calls already. In Chapter 2 the dining room scene where we take you into the mind of Billy's psychosis is the substitute for the phone calls. And you're correct, Jess says "I know who you are, I know how she helped you. The girl in the park, the policeman, and I know about all the others as well." The girl in the park IS in fact that young girl in Black Christmas, and the policeman she mentions is the police officer you see with his neck cut. As I've been saying on my channel for months, It's Me, Billy: Chapter 2 will always work best when watched with Chapter 1 (or even better) by watching all 3 films together. Chapter 2 is designed to be just that, the next half in split episodes. However, to your point, once we put both films together as one feature length piece, we will be looking at scenes from both films, to see what needs to be moved or adjusted (if anything) to better assemble one long feature. Thanks again guys! Really appreciate it! Merry Black Christmas!

Very cool. Thanks for the response and clarifications. We love what you’re doing and can’t wait to see what you do next!
Also, we just saw black Christmas in the theater for the 50th anniversary. It’s amazing in theaters! One of our favorites
