    Hey man, I over the years on a o-ring I've noticed WD seems to loosen up the chain with a lot of slop. An old timer showed me Maxima chain wax and since then for over 15 years I've had great normal chain wear. Minimal dirt collection because it's not sticky like other lubes. I ride in New England with sand, loam, and wetness. Thanks for being real in your vids bro

      @UpAllNight91  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Right on! Thats good to hear. I do like how chain wax smells, as strange as that may sound lol. Hmm, got me wondering for the street bike, wax may be better than the lithium based lube I use on the street bike. But for the dirt bike if I was to use anything besides WD40 it would surely be just a chain wax. As like you mentioned it dries and doesn't collect dirt and sand as much

      Hello. The clutch chatter can be pretty normal on these YZ250f's. Some do it worse than others. But at 165 hours I would at least do a top end job and chain. Get a fresh piston and timing chain in there. Its surely due.

      Hello! I have a lot of videos like this where I end up adjusting the valves like this video. But I dont have a video on feelers gauges themselves. The two sets of numbers, one is imperial the other is metric. If the video I often use imperial. The manual will have both listed, so just pick which form of measurement you want to go by and stick to that. I usually stick to imperial because thats kinda standard here in the states.

      @UpAllNight91  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If they wear the part that comes in contact with the valve seat they should be replaced. Or if thew tip starts mashing down. But otherwise as far as to tell if they are just old and due for safety reasons. I honestly dont know a way except keeping track of hours. Dont know of one yet at least.

    • @dmitriyaleksenko2382
      @dmitriyaleksenko2382 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The bike is very interesting, high-performance and all that! The author of this channel, in a review of his 2-stroke motorcycles, voiced what is the beauty of 2 strokes... (number of parts, cost, ease of repair) Hello author))) In the previous video of this channel, count the parts for the repair of this Yamaha and add the cost of the repair itself , which you will have to pay to the master or dealer (number of parts, cost, complexity of repairs)... This is what I mean! On a desmo it is very specific and difficult to adjust the valve clearances, but that’s okay... How much will the parts and repairs cost??? Not everyone will be able to make high-quality repairs and how expensive it will be, not everyone undertakes their repairs (taking into account road equipment, the device is the same +/-!!! As for driving... Desmo is needed in order to turn the engine to obtain peak power!!! Are you able to twist and hold a modern 250 or 450 on the throttle open for at least 15-20 minutes??? Few people can drive a 125 all the way))) Everything is obvious here!!! And of course, everyone decides for themselves! What kind of bike do you have? Best regards, Dmitry!!!

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dmitriyaleksenko2382 I agree with what you said. For me its too soon to judge. Some questions I have is how expensive will the parts be. How available will the parts be. How reliable will the bike be. KTM's for example, parts are often on back ordered when a engine or transmission repair is needed. This can make what could have been a week or less in the shop to a month or even 3 months in the shop waiting for parts. If your a rider that only rides here and there and dont mind these things then its ok. But for the young racer that is in a points series this can be a real deal breaker. High dollar teams will have all these parts on the shelf ready to go and wont have to worry about back ordered parts but us more normal folk this can be a issue for sure. 2 or 4 stroke, the Japanese brands are very good at keeping parts available and decently affordable which is good for us normal folk. I like all brands and I am not brand loyal, I just know I have to weigh these things out when I am picking a bike or suggesting a bike for someone.

      @@UpAllNight91 That's right. We can talk about this forever... But the result is this!
      1. A professional team will take modern high-performance equipment for its riders and no matter the budget and repairs, they fight for first places on the podium and the team has money.
      2. A person who has enough money will buy new equipment according to his taste and preferences and he doesn’t care about repairs, he is ready to pay. He knows exactly what he wants!!!
      3. And let the author of the question about the new 450 Desmo bike write the third point))) If the answer is incorrect ;-) ) ) I will correct it without any problems)))
      I'm looking forward to the second part about the 125 2023 with a broken transmission with detailed prices for all the parts, and hello to Russia, for your interest in the video material and the channel itself!
      Best regards, Dmitry!!! Russia.

    • @UpAllNight91
      @UpAllNight91  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello Yes. The chain may have gotten kinked up down at the crank sprocket. I would hold the chain up with my hand at the cylinder head and turn the crank by hand. Spin it which ever direction it will spin without getting binded up to free up the chain. If that doesnt help and it comes down to it, remove the stator cover and flywheel and get it corrected down there.
