I heard this song on the radio for the first time recently. Something about roots reggae that just strikes me immediately like, "Oh I like this!" I love roots reggae. How is it that this great style of music ever faded?
The big, really great bands began playing abroad for excellent pay. Meanwhile young Jamaicans began to turn to so-called 'dancehall' music or Jamaican rap music, not in the same league with this.
