WE BROKE IT - Budget 351w Stroker on Engine Stand NOT GOOD!
I'm finally almost done with my stock block 347. I didn't touch it through summer because it was too hot outside. Just started back at it and almost all buttoned up.
I bought an 110 A/C window unit for the garage for exactly that reason. Same price as a cam. Money well spent.
@@Mustang_Chris I don't even have garage, doing this in the driveway. I have a carport for building the engine but it's not big enough to get the car in it. Fun times. I'm almost done though.
@@The50Baker Glad to hear you're almost done. I remember the driveway days. A 10x10 pop up canopy with a 4ft light bar, a plastic folding table, a fan, an office chair, and a cooler/footrest.

I love this w mustang series. Regardless of your skill level. You’re showing your fails and we get watch the team and the car grow.
I dont hide failure, i dont hide most of my HP numbers. I try to be realistic. To some that may be boring... but w/o failure you cant learn and get better.
Yeah it’s like that sometimes. I’ve had a year when my race truck, my daily truck, my quad and my bmx all broke the same year right after one another. Time to make it great again

I have always wanted to do a 351W w/ Cleveland Heads. Not alum ones... the originals.
I hate that you're having trouble with the 387 seems like oil starving for sure. I will definitely be interested in the clever idea. Those heads flow better stock than any LS head ever made.
Ya people see the "cast iron" part of that video on those heads and are probably like "boat anchors".... thats not the truth the BOSS heads flowed BIG numbers!
I would guess that whatever went wrong might have happened during that 1st to 2nd missed shift. I hate it when that happens.
Nah it wasn't that. I have street drove this car pretty well along with the burnouts... driving down the track was a walk in the park compared lol

I built a motor with original boss 302 heads on a 289 block. Has all the gangster parts in it. But it’s still on the stand I built it on 3 years ago. I think we’re the opposite on the getting it off jack stands attitude. Maybe one day

With the fact we got the rare missing component to the CLEVOR build (the heads) we are going to make an oldschool build like this 387 was.
@@Neomustangs why go that route when Ford built you a stroker from the factory. You do a lot of stock stuff so why not just use the 400. Dirt cheap and Kasse crushed the EMC for a decade with em.
I've been dying to see someone do a clevor build!!!! I can't find any vids on it, I have a set of Cleveland closed chambered heads and a 69 302w block I want to build and a 2m crank I think or 3m cant remember, whichever one is the stronger crank I have LOL BUT YES PLEASE BUILD A CLEVOR!! I've read the Cleveland style heads since they're designed to run at 8k rpm for transam racing and that's where they make power actually work very well with boost and depending on the head they flow over 300cfm
Put you a good set of H beams in it and put some dome dome pistons😉
nah we just gonna fix it and put it together. Probably whipped a bearing out.
Damn bud, that sucks. Once you changed out the cam pin, you were in the clear. But what you found in the oil
pan, i would suspect oil starvation of some sort, but you will find out once the oil pan comes off. Either way
it still sucks.
Thats what we are thinking. Starved. That was a spare oil pan on an old build and it was a dry sump style.
Interesting to see what the issue is had a similar situation that was the oil pump gasket had shifted over between the block and the pump can t wait to see that clevor build have a friend who did that years ago with 2v heads

Its ok we fix it send it again. On bright side we can put a cam in it now while its out.
It's a bummer for sure but atleast you'll be able to tend to it now! What kind of bearing you gonna run in the Windsor? Tri metal?
Honestly we will probably just keep it budget as it was. Go in fix the problems clean up everything reassemble with a bigger camshaft.
Hate that for you, definitely know EXACTLY how it feels…
We just keep on grinding and get it fixed.
Love your content, but I wish you would go into more detail on the setups. Also, what intake are you running, and where can I find one? I’m building a 351W, but EFI parts don’t seem to be as readily available as they are for a 302W.
In my build videos all my content has build breakdowns. I just repeat that every video. go check out the playlists.
If it wasn't for bad luck sometimes we'd have no luck.

8.2 deck Clevor build . See if you can put a parts list together . Texas boys always talk about it . But no one has done it and provened it on the track to see actually those heads and set up will do .

Finding metal sux. Betting oil pump drive fail. Building the Clevor engine will be good content. Not a lot of 351 based content, and none on Cleveland/Boss based head stuff. Kind of tired of all the coyote stuff.
Dont get me wrong, COYOTE is the future. HOWEVER, that doesnt mean some of this old pushrod stuff isnt relevant! My 387 build wasn't a big money build and it made more RWHP than a GEN2 swapped foxbody n/a no mods

Aw man the clevor is going to be badass, ive been thinking about doing it to my 347, are those 2v heads or the 4v heads? Im going to try these 190 11 r heads out first and if I don't hit my goal im going clevor
These are BOSS 302 heads. The best ones i could use.
