I owned the entire series on VHS back in the day, now have the Blu-ray set and am very happy with it. I re-watched the entire set after Matthew Perry's passing and it's good enough for me. I think the Blu-ray set is a bargain at £36/$46 considering the amount of entertainment you get and that it comes in a nice solid hard box, good disk cases/packaging, quality episode guide booklet, inside artwork on the cases, colour coded by season artwork on the disks and a bonus disk...it really is a quality set at a great price ! No need to upgrade at any price really.

(better than fine, normally better than the quality the show was originally aired in !). Game of Thrones is one that I do own on Blu-ray (S1-7 Boxset) and wouldn't mind seeing what the 4K of that is like, if it was a significant upgrade and at a good price then I would consider it, probably as individual seasons rather than a S1-8 box set though as I don't want to own S8 at all ! If a show was made and aired in 4K then I would probably try to get hold of the 4K version if I were to buy it...for example I did buy "House of the Dragon" on 4K (very annoyed that my version didn't also include the Blu-rays as well mind !).
I actually think the price is extremely fair for 84 hours of content. The way streaming services keep increasing subscription prices this makes sense imo.

My favorite sitcom was Get a Life.A 90 s sitcom starring Cris Elliot and his dad Bob. Also had one of the Murray Bro. About a 30 year old paper boy who lives with his folks. I have a few of the shows on dvd. It was on I believe 91-92-93 on fox. Very funny. Friends I like. I’ll just watch them on cable.
This is why producers think twice about bringing out tv series in something other than DVD because fans don't back it up. I must say I'm surprised by this 4K release. Friends? Sure it was popular but 4K popular? In my opinion this is not going to sell well. What were they thinking?🤔 TV series usually don't get 4K treatment of the ones I know Battlestar Galactica and House Of Dragon and the series that came before it. Heck not even Walking Dead has a 4K!🤔 If is $250 it must be a complete remaster of the whole series. I don't know how long Friends is but Gunsmoke, which is fairly long, is $300 on DVD. And that series took years to remaster. Anyway I'm sure most fans are not going to buy it and it will be another failure to add to the likes of Star Trek:The Next Generation Blu-ray. I think this is such bullshit that a tv show friends get a 4k complete box set. But Warner Bros won't give the nightmare on elm street franchise a 4k complete 4k box set. But only releaes the first nightmare on elm street on 4k. But i am not saying friends does not need a complete box set. But Warner Bros needs to make better decisions in what they releaes on physical media either on bluray or 4k

But I will say this Warner bros needs to either make better decisions in releasing physical media or start licensing out more of there catalog titles to the small labels.so there catalog titles will get the release they deserve. The majority of 4K releases are grossly overpriced. The MCU and Star Wars TV series are prime offenders that even make Friends look cheap on a price per minute run time basis. I'll get Friends at some stage but on blu ray.

But you'd think they could boost their sales by being more reasonably priced as more people might invest in a 4K setup. I would buy the SW and MCU series if they were around €30 each but not paying €60 for a single season, Obi-Wan Kenobi is only 4 hours long! At least those shows would benefit from 4K. I don't think a show like Friends really needs anything more than Blu-ray which makes the pricing all the more ridiculous.
