Have visited Laurence myself for driver. Great experience and knows his onions. Came away with a great driver shaft but also purchased the same brand for my hybrids.
I’ve got a driver shaft fitting for my TSR2 booked with Lawrence later this week and after watching the detail he goes into, I’m really looking forward to it! As a follow up it’ll be great to hear how you get on with your new club on the course 🏌️♂️ ⛳️
Hi Steve. You’ll have a great time. He is so knowledgeable and a top guy. 2 rounds out with the new driver and it’s been mega. I’ve booked back in for a new fairway and hybrid.
Accra seems to be a very highly quality manufacturer with unique products. Wow. AI Smoke has been sneaky good in comparisons but Callaway always brings it with the big sticks. Have a great season.
Great to watch the fitting process from start to finish Paul - Laurence is a true professional in this area and it shows through massively here. Also impressive to see you get clubhead speed up to 100mph after having hit so many shots too. Dare I ask how your body felt the next day ?
Interesting video, I’ve been toying with the idea of messing about with the weight in my G425 max to try give it a bit more of an sft vibe. After watching this I realised I’m way out of my depth!
Great video, I’m definitely going here in the next couple of weeks. One thing, all shafts play different in different heads, how come you fitted to a shaft, then changed the head ? I understand you have to start somewhere, chicken or the egg scenario.
I was 100% in Laurence’s hands. I guess it makes sense to find a shaft that optimises your existing driver head, then try other heads. I’ve just booked in for a fairway fitting 👍🏼👍🏼
Hi. Thanks for commenting. The fitting was with Pro V1. I use AVX (good call on that). Titleist did a fitting with me in an early episode of the show 👌🏼
I visited the fitting centre at South Chesterfield Golf Club today to book a fitting for the Qi10 Driver and Fairway Woods 3 & 5, as SGGT came highly recommended by a previous customer. I assumed someone would be available on-site since fittings were all day until 3 PM. However, on arrival I was directed from the pro shop to the driving range, only to find the SGGT centre locked up. The trip turned out to be a complete waste of time which was someone disappointing 50 mile round trip
Hi Jon. The shafts can cost a little more depending on how exotic you go. However I’ve know people go for a new driver and only needed a new shaft which was cheaper than a whole new driver. The experience is second to none
@@GolfShow I'm still watching Paul. For me, this is one of if not your best ever vlog. I love this stuff!!! Smoother than a fox in a smoking jacket...WTF 🤣🤣🤣 What have you done with your LST 😉😉😉
Imagine Fujikura telling its customers that the £300 Ventus shaft they just bought needs to be pured at an additional cost of £40. Not going to happen. High end shafts do not need it. Run away from fitters saying anything different.
All these TH-cam fittings have so much verbal filler. It's not about just optimizing misses, it's about optimizing center strikes while finding acceptable misses. If you hit 70% of your driver's well, and 30% poorly, why would you want to shorten your good shots to get better 30% of the time? Hitting 1 or 2 longer clubs into greens over a round , 70% of the time will add up to higher scores! Come on man
I've watched a ton of fitting videos, this fellow is without a doubt, one of the best I've seen.
Cheers Blake I’ve 100%!confidence in him 👍🏼

Thank you I’m super excited about the new driver. Think I’ll be popping back for a new fairway soon! Stay tuned 👀

LP is the man
I felt pretty good. Hit around 120 shots.
Make sure that Mrs H doesn't watch this, Paul! You'll be in trouble buying a new stick. Awesome level of detail in that fitting.
Ooops! Next level wasn’t it. Laurence is amazing. I’ve booked back in for fairway and hybrid 👍🏼

You highlighted 2 shafts with the same cpm what differences would the player see or feel if the cpm is the same ?
For me it was differences in consistency and actual ball flight
Wow a great fitting
Thanks Martin 👍🏼
I love the fact that you CPM
Thanks for commenting Tell. It was a great experience
Don't know what kind of ball you were using but you might benefit from an AVX or something a little on the softer side.
Hi. Thanks for commenting. The fitting was with Pro V1. I use AVX (good call on that). Titleist did a fitting with me in an early episode of the show 👌🏼
@@GolfShow Why didn't you do your driver fitting with an AVX or at least try it at the end?
@@hbyrdut I’d have had to retrieve them from a huge driving range. Pro v1 z is pretty close
@@GolfShow I'm sorry. I didn't remember that you were hitting on a range.

Best to book in advance
Does this add a lot to the total cost of the new driver as opposed to the retail prices of a new driver with the manufacturer shaft.

Good call sir.
@@jondaly8227when went for a new fairway Laurence swapped the shaft in my current head and it’s been amazing and was cheaper than a new fairway.
Great vid. Which ball is being used?
Hi Jeffrey for this fitting we used Pro V1
Surprised he did not stick with the Graphite Design XC?
The Accra just felt so easy to swing. It arrived yesterday. Cant wait to get it out on the course 👍🏼👍🏼
Here we go....
New toy arrived today 👌🏼

Glad you are enjoying it my friend. Laurence is the business and what a facility 👌🏼🙌🏼
@@GolfShow Get yourself across to Halifax with Bambi first week of April and see how that Callaway performs on a moorland course Paul 😉
I know it’s rude to ask but I going to ask anyway 😂 how much up lift on price was that shaft
Spin is still too high.
Cobra LS with weights back and heel to promote rotation. Heel strikes seem consistent, so forgiveness shouldn't be an issue.
Nice vid ...if only you couls.move your parh a few degs youd be winning
I’m trying Pete I’m trying mate. Thanks for taking the time to comment 👍🏼
Tee way too high. I would have used the pink castle tee instead of the orange one.
Puring is just an add on cost that isn't really needed in high end shafts. Plenty of professional fitters will tell you it isn't necessary.
Imagine Fujikura telling its customers that the £300 Ventus shaft they just bought needs to be pured at an additional cost of £40. Not going to happen. High end shafts do not need it. Run away from fitters saying anything different.
Doubt wrong driver, merely the wrong swing for the driver or incorrectly setup driver.
Shafts don’t change spin!!!! There is no such thing as a low spin shaft!!!!
Exactly, shafts are only timing devices.
