- The documentation of 107 students from the class of 2013 at Pleasant Grove High School as they open their mission calls between the dates of February 14, 2013 to May 23, 2013.
From Kennewick Washington to Singapore, these Elders have been called to serve as missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and therefore will be literal representatives of Jesus Christ who will spend two years spreading His gospel to the people in the mission they have been called to.

Please enjoy the hours and hours of work put into this video. As you watch with a listening spirit, I testify the spirit of God will bear witness to you that this is true. I know it's true. So can you.
I watched this in the early morning hours, translating yet another Japanese document for my translation business, and thinking how this same moment in my life so changed everything for me 40 years ago. It is fun to watch, and contemplate how the direction of this same moment might change the lives of these great young people. Will be fun to see where everyone goes from here.
i love the way all the family and friends screams when they say the place x3
Elder Stewart was in my mission, sat next to him on the plane out
i smiled throughout this whole video and im even more looking forward to serving my mission!
The girls get to go on missons as well. They go for 18 months. I'm a girl and am planning on serving my mission when I'm 19. Missionary work is just one of the greatest things you could do.
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this, even 5 years later. 💛
I love the Missionaries. May God bless you all as you bring the light of the Gospel into the lives of those who search for it. As it was brought into mine.
When going on mission read the CES letter, and the Church Gospel Essays , they are truly a great blessing!
Thank you Wyatt for sharing this. Having been a substitute teacher for 6 years I know some of these fine young men, one of them is the brother of one of my past Girl Scouts. I'm proud of them and their decision to serve. God bless all of them on their missions!
I hope my mission call comes this week! In the meantime I'll watch more mission call opening videos 😂
Erin Flores are you on ur mission now?
5 guys burger's and fries: the ideal place to open a mission call.
So many familiar faces and this is making me so happy!!! These callings always make me emotional in a good way.
I love this so much! Made me cry. Glad that I got to know you guys. You'll all be amazing missionaries!!
They are so happy because even though they won't be vacationing, they believe in their Church and they love it so much that they can't wait to share it with others (:
I'm so excited. I don't go to that school, in fact I live in México, but I just received the news that I've been asigned. It's truly an incredible feeling and if there's any young man that hasn't decided if to go or not, remember to choose the right and serve the Lord and don't do that because of pressure but because of true love to the work and Jesus Christ
Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude and courage. Wherever the missionary goes, in whatever part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. The local people must understand what
the missionary is saying to them. The missionary must get the Word right to the people! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yuriy Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language. This excellent book will give you answers how to correctly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book answers many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. Good luck with your important work!
I wish you cold show a lot more of the reaction. Great video.
Thank you for allowing me to watch your video. I am so touched by these wonderful young people who are going to serve the Lord; those I know and those I have only heard of. You will ALL be blessed for your service!!
Great job putting this video together. I like the map. Congrats on your call too.
This is so cool. Thanks for putting this together.
So awesome! I was waiting for one elder to be shown who is serving in the Ohio Columbus mission who went to that school. He didn't appear but I love watching where missionaries go and serve. I love the way you made the video! Thumbs up! I actually would rather serve a stateside english mission, so I can go visit a lot! But where ever The Lord needs me, you can count on me to be there! :)
This is my favorite video.
I know that others have responded to you but I am going to as well, all these Young Men are so happy not because of WHERE they are going but WHY they are going. They aren't expecting a vacation, they know it will be hard work, but they know what they are doing is right and true, they love their gospel so much that they are willing and excited to leave their families and friends for two years to serve God's children. Isn't that so amazing?
I cannot like this enough!
I too Live in Gilbert! It is amazing to have Gilbert as a mission now.
Great job, Wyatt!
Way to go Daniel. I hope your mission is a great experience for you!!
Pure awesome!
pure joy!!
I love that clip! :)
Awesome
Great Video!!!!! If this was my High School, I would have been the only one opening a call.
I live in Gilbert, AZ!!! First missionary I have heard get called here since Gilbert was announced to become a mission starting July 1st!
This is my fav video
they cheer them on because they know that it will be the great education and life experience to prepare them for the rest of there life. There hasn't been a day gone by that I don't think about my own mission or that I use a lesson/skill I learned to help me with something else. Thanks for the questions!
They are all excited, they just show it in different ways. It isn't a vacation, they are called to serve the people who live there. You fall in love with the people, the culture, and everything about the place where you serve, because you live as they do.
Wyatt, this is a great video. Lots of work and many hours. Keep working hard and it will pay off. PS your Dad was in my mission!!
Well i will be seeing Elder Clayson in the Kennewick, WA Mission.
Jesus is sending his servants to gather out the house of Israel from the four quarters of the earth.
Welcome to the Baton Rouge Mission Elder Madsen!
Great video. 2 things. You can always tell when they've looked a line down and seen where they're going before they say it. We all get that grin. Second thing, great job PG grads. Represent!
I have put this video on the Facebook page LDS Mission Calls.
Elder Kruger is coming to where I live!
San Bernardino has been put into the Redlands Mission (im From Redlands CA) It is an awesome place to be
What a great idea, I'm doing this!
3:55 Washington Kennewick Mission, awww yeahh
This video can also be seen on Facebook at LDS Mission Calls :)
i can't wait monterrey east mission here i come
I used to live in pleasant grove when I was 3 :P congrats!
Fun to see so many familiar surnames!
Yes, those represent the language those elders/sisters are assigned to learn and teach in during their missions. Some missions have multiple languages widely spoken within their boundaries. Some of these languages seem a little weird when you see them next to the destination, since they are not the primary language of that area (e.g. that one elder who is going to Milwaukee and speaking Hmong). Hope that helps!
I'm so excited to get my call it's a bit nerve wracking to wonder where I'll go.
dude it's late at night and I'm thinking the same thing. I am so excited to go. I keep on wondering where I'm gonna go and I know wherever I am gonna be doing the right thing. I put the desire to learn a foreign language as high so I'm really going far from home. I'm scared but I'm also so happy. No matter where you go, you've got God right by your side. Good luck.
Where did you both end up going? This was the same for me, terrifying but once you open it up you’re so happy
❤❤❤👍🙏🏼
Elder Decker is going to the same mission that my brother is in!
i will be serving with elder Burnett i leave to the the Provo mtc in 25 days december 18 2013 :)
Wyatt! Wonderfully done video. I would give anything to have this for my graduating year. I need Tanner Beckstrands info if you could. He's hitting up my mission!
Elder Taylor Davis is serving where my cousin is
Missionaries, please come to our page and do The Book of Mormon Two-Minute Challenge! Record a video sharing your feelings on this sacred book and we share it with the world! We already have lots of members answering the challenge!
That's great, what kind of education do the receive prior to working with the elderly and more importantly the sick. Do the girls get to do anything?
I guess your right, but what kinds of good things are they gonna do?
I’m off on the Alpine German speaking mission in July 31 2019, leave ur comments here while I’m gone and I’ll surely return to this comment section!

Are the languages they list(when showing each location) the second language of that specific missionary? or is it the predominant language spoken in the specific region?
It’s the language they’ll be speaking on their mission.

Jacod 5:71-76
What are the green and blue dots for?
*
Red = First missionary called to a mission.
Blue = Second missionary called to the same mission.
Green = Third missionary called to the same mission.
can somebody please tell me what do the blue and green dots represent?
It has to do with the ## of people serving in that area.. blue is 2..green is 3..
Megan Chan

I’m not even religious nor do I believe in god yet I’m watching a religious video from 2013.
Thanks so much Wyatt for this Inspiring collection of Calls. As Elders and Sisters prepare, they may enjoy my Indie Movie Musical; “Sisters Go Ye Trailer 2” on TH-cam. Have Faith in Christ; He will guide all of you in the Mission Field.
I don't get why they are so happy, can they do anything fun there, won't they be working all the time and what are they allowed to do for fun.
1. They know what they’re going to do. They’re going to serve the lord and that’s the best way anyone could possibly use their time. They’re going to meet a new culture and people to love and learn from.
2. On what’s called P day (preparation day, one day each week where the missionaries get the day off essentially) you can go out and experience some of the touristy stuff
just wanted to know what is all the excitement about?
The Lord Bless you for your willingness to Serve Him in the Mission Field. As you prepare, you may enjoy my Indie Movie Musical; “Sisters Go Ye Trailer 2” on TH-cam. Have a great Mission; have Faith in Christ; He will guide you.
How are missionaries prepared to face and be confronted by the onslaught of the Anti-Mormon camp? How are they prepared to deal with the church historicity issues?
Because the Lord guides them. How else do you think teenagers can leave their home to another country that they are extremely unaccustomed to and teach the Gospel, and baptise hundreds of thousands of converts.
Tyler Edwards Really, Tyler? It's not that easy. If the church's leaders (prophets, seers, and revelators) cannot answer the questions, how can we expect teen-aged missionaries to aswer those questions?
For example, open your Book of Abraham to Facsimile #3 and look at the five characters there. From the left, the first and third appear to be distinctly female (shorter, small feet, long hair, dresses, etc). Above the third character's hand, the text there says "Ma'at, Mistress of the Gods."
If you compare this to the caption, two things are apparent. First, the caption calls these two female characters Pharaoh and his son. That's very odd that Abraham drew the two most powerful men in the world as short, curvy females and called them Isis and Ma'at, respectively. Likewise, it is very strange that the writing above their heads/hands does not say what the caption states.
This is the kind of problem that missionaries will be faced with. Unfortunately, bearing a testimony just won't cut it.
They need to be better prepared!
Haha well Ive been called to serve in a few months. And whatever they're doing its working so regardless of what holes you think you might find it doesn't change the fact the people convert to our church. Although I agree with you, it wouldn't hurt one bit to be much more prepared.
Tyler Edwards As you might have guessed, I'm an ex-Mormon. After 38 years of devout, temple-attending membership in the church, my family and I left the church for doctrinal reasons.
I imagine that you will be faced with many challenges on your mission. I admire your courage and ambition. I respect your decision to serve.
The unfortunate reality, though , is that neither truth or history is on your side. As members discover the many problems with church history, it becomes apparent that the church is deliberately deceptive to its members.
Questions to prepare for:
1. How many wives did Joseph Smith have? How old was his youngest wife?
2. What archaeological evidence exists to support the Book of Mormon?
3. Why does the text in the Book of Abraham Facsimiles not agree with the captions Joseph Smith added for these images?
4. Did you know that the name of the church did not always include the name of Jesus?
5. What were the Kinderhook Plates? Joseph translated part of them and revealed the story of Zelph. What does the church believe now?
6. Did Brigham Young know about the Mountain Meadows Massacre? How many settlers did the Mormons needlesslly slaughter?
7. Joseph's testimony in court when he was convicted of being a con man is pretty damning. He openly admits that he used a seer stone to find buried treasure. Incidently, this same seer stone was used to translate parts of the Book of Mormon after Moroni took back the stones (116 pages lost, etc.).
These are some things to prepare for. I'd be happy to discuss these issues with you. I'm not hateful; I would be happy to present both sides of each point.
I know there are questions regarding the truth of this church. But I believe that all of there are very much speculation. For one, God cannot be blamed for the errors of man, we all know that the bible and the scriptures are full of grammatical errors and is not meant to be translated literally. There are many mysteries that will remain unanswered until judgement day. There is one thing I know to be true and that is that there is a God and I believe in him through the LDS church. After having my brother appear to my family one day after his passing, that is something that guarantees a life long unwavering testimony.
Ahh love the calls but the subtitles on the bottom ruined the video!! So annoying!
Feel bad for that got stateside English speaking.. bummer..
Your call isn't where you go, your call is to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Every place on this earth there are people who need love and service. Of course it's an added bonus to go somewhere foreign, but it shouldn't be about you or your experience, it should be about the WORK. :)
True. It's a lesson that I spent more than 20 years learning after my own mission call to the New York New York City (Greek) mission (I was bitterly disappointed, as I had wanted to serve in Italy). It took me that long to understand and accept why New York (Greek) was the right place for me, and why Italy would have been the WRONG place -- and why I would have been the wrong person to send there!
Lee SHUT UP ! stop bragging about you're self Mormons do that frequently
Scott Anderson I beg your pardon, young man? What part of my post constituted bragging?
keep telling yourselves it's where you were "meant" to go 😂😂 I've seen such shady practices regarding this..
Lol, can't even pronounce Tuscon correctly.
Sucked in by LDS Inc. Mission service is all about converting the elder or sister to lifetime servitude to the Corporation.
WORK FOR FREE NO LESS
This seems like a cult.....
