I'm very happy with the Yusu V2M, I've tightened it a bit and added some lube, and while it still has those weird center catches, nothing actually pops out and you can turn past them. It feels odd but if you can get over that performance in solves is actually all right. I love how light the Meilong 3x3 is, and I get normal times on it.
Meilong is really good budget cube i also have one but I think qiyi warrior s budget cube is better because of better turning and better colors and corner cutting
yes but the MGC 4x4 ($20) is mained by so many people (including me) and it’s in everyones top 3 best 4x4’s even if they don’t main the cube and when i say everyone i really mean it + it’s $7 more expensive than the YuSu but it’s still so so so much better .
My brother got a MeiLong just out of curiosity. It was super OOTB so I put some Lubicle Silk in it (Cubicle product. Sorry to all my SCS guys) and I lubricated the screw and springs with Traxxas 50k. It got reeeeaaaallyyyyyy fast. I installed 5x1 N48 magnets in it (which are quite strong for those who aren't familiar with magnets). The cube is actually quite good now. I wouldn't have thought to compare the feeling to an RS2 but I've modified my RS2 a lot so it doesn't feel like it does stock (I spring swapped it for light springs to increase springs). However, the MeiLong has great corner cutting, is impressively fast, is reasonably stable, not too flimsy once broken in, and is just generally a pretty nice cube, especially at the $4 price point. The only downsides are that 1. It has frosted plastic (which doesn't bother me much but I know a lot of people don't like that) and 2. It feels a little stiff sometimes. Not in the normal sense, but you can just tell it's supposed to be a budget cube. However, it still performs quite well. I would rather use that than my Little Magic M. Hope this is helpful!
i think the Meilong 3x3 was a good bet for my first speedcube buy. Even without any knowledge about setup, this was a way better cube than the Rubik's brand one that my brother had, and that's something when the worst it can give is already better. But then I got back into watching the cubing content on TH-cam, and I got curious about what was the options I could to customize - if not to be the WR speedcube, at least I like the DIY project. Turns out there are a couple of videos teaching how to magnetize a 3x3, so I decided to buy online some N35 neodymium magnets (the weakest but the cheapest as well to find) + lube from a speedcubing shop from my country. The combination of magnets and lube made a miracle in my cube. From what I thought was already a decent cube, turned to be something that felt 3x the price. It turns very smoothly, and the magnets help the cube to stay in place and to cue where the turn stops. It's definitely how you said it: if you don't mind learning how to set up stuff, it can be a good cube, but there might be other options available - and I admit this is my only speedcube as of today, since I don't have the money to buy lots of different cubes, and because of importing some cubes that are seen as "budget" might not come that cheap here.
Just got the Meilong 4x4. Thank you for the recommendation, it's great! Takes some time to adjust my turns (doesn't corner cut like a 3x3 who knew) but fun!

I have unboxed and reviewed the standard and magnetic versions of the Meilong 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 on my channel. Basically, I found the non-magnetic versions of the 3x3 and 5x5 to be basically unusable. They are EXTREMELY flexible out of the box and remain so even after tightening. After magnets, however, both become very good budget options. The 4x4, on the other hand, is pretty good right out of the box and improves quite a bit with magnets. TL;DR: Buy all of them if you want to magnetize. Buy only the 4x4 if you don't.
Thank you! I can confirm for the 3x3! Almost unusable flimsy ootb, great budget and medium budget option after magnetizing! Will go check you video now! 🙂Thank you for letting us know you've tried the othets out in magnetized versions already! Was wondering about their full potential for a few weeks!

This is why i like jperm’s review and thoughts on cubes, it feels as if you’re there using the cube. He doesnt lie abt how the cube feels his just honest and he has valid reasons to why.
The MeiLong 3x3x3 M is my main. I magnetized it myself with 4x2 N35s, but I recommend 4x1.5 N35 instead. 4x2 is a little strong. I do also use the YLM M and the YuLong V2 M because I don't believe in having just one main cube. I also practice on the Warrior W sometimes because it does good things for my turning style. The YLM M actually feels slow now compared to my MeiLong 3x3x3 M, but that could be that I need to break it again some more. So I'm glad you gave the MeiLong 3x3x3 another chance. I think it's the best budget cube out there right now.
Could you please measure the magnets and tell me if they are exactly 4*2mm or is that just the advertised size? Cause for me 3,7*1.75 (advertised as 4*2) are bang on! N35, most likely, as well
Thanks for this! Been thinking about trying larger than 3x3! Quietly wondering if we'll get to see you review/tutorial megaminxes 🤓 Cause that'd be soooo cool
The magnetized version of the meilong 3x3 is actually a Lot like Rs2M. it’s stable but still able to go fast with the best corner cutting as far as budget cubes go, it’s actually pretty good I would recommend after setting up.
i actually bought the yj yusu v2m and it actually turns fast and smoothly and it did not feel dry out of the box. you also wont catch that much during centers and edges, maybe a little during pll and oll.
I have the magnetised version if MeiLong 3M, I got it just today. It's pretty stable, at first it was weird for me, but when I broke my record, I liked it very much. The cornercutting is good. Turns are so SMOOTH. The only problem is that the colours aren't as light, as I wanted. Whatever, it's gonna be my MAIN so long time!

Yes, I got one too and when I first have it, it was weird. I overshoot a lot but after some practice, I can get sub 30 solve. Waiting for my rs3m 2020 to come home.
I have the exact same cube the meilong 3x3 its tight when my first turns but when you use it all the time it becomes smoother. Also there are 2x2 and pyramix meilong cubes. The Meilong brand is great for begginers
I was trying to find my first 4x4 budget speedcube and i blindly bought the moyu meilong among all the other 4x4s. And i just saw this video. I feel ecstatic knowing i just bought a good 4x4 budget cube with no knwolodge
It depends. If you are ok with a slower cube but like stability, go with the RS2M. If you want something faster but a little harder to control, get the RS3M. If you want a balance between stability and speed, go with the Little Magic M.
i made a magnetic meilong, its actually pretty ok, got some solid singles on it. However, the plastic is wayyy too slippery and i still prefer the ylm over it
Yep, I bought the meilong budget cubes, and I don't like the 5x5 much, thanks to pops, the 4x4 is a little bit average, but the 3x3 is extremely good, after lubing actually. The 3x3 was the only one that came pre-lubes in the set, and I think it's corner cutting is not too good after 45°. This cube is great after l tensioned it properly and lubed it, though it did take me weeks to get good to it. The solves are good in the cube, but I think if magnetised, this is going to be a pleasure to play with. Good for the price too.
Nice, but you mean the 3x3? I'm asking I just got the Meilong 3x3, it's a bit tight, and I can't find a screwdriver anywhere...And 1 question, did you lube it?
The Meilong 3c 3x3 comes in a magnetic version which is meilong 3m and I had a great experience with that and I think it is the cheapest magnetic cube you can buy with the price of only 6.00$ and it even comes in 2x2,4x4,5x5,6x6 and so on
I also bought the Qiyi Sail the day before yesterday but the non magnetic one 😢 I was also hunting for a main so I ordered a Gan 356 R Sad life u know 😢
I live in the UK and all of the cubing stores either don't have or have sold out the meilong 4x4. One shop has it but only the stickered version but I don't want to go through the trouble of keeping the in good condition
Please check the magnetic version of the 3x3 ,4x4 and 5x5.. Please Dylan I have to know the feeling and your opinion of these 3 cubes.. As long as I have heard that they are AMAZING. Please do consider this...
Got the Meilong M 4x4 last week. I love it. Coming from the Shengshou v2 4x4 from like 2011, its a massive upgrade. My pb and average dropped from 3min to almost under 1min since I got it. Still not sure if I want to go hard in 5x5 and get a AuChuang WR M or if I wanna go with the Meilong M 5x5 tho.
I ended up going with the MGC M5 and it was also a massive improvement. My time dropped from 5 or 6minutes to sub-4 immediately with a 2.5min pb. Im sure if I practiced more id be under 2min already. I hated 4x4 and 5x5 until I got these cubes.
I have a Meilong 3x3 at home, and my friend acidentally dropped it in the sand. I was so sad because that cube was my only good cube and that was a gift from another friend. So I washed it. Then it seems normal again. But it just gets dirty after it is dry. So I kept asking my mom to buy a new cube and finally I have a good cube (and it is the X-Man Tornado V2 M).
I want to magnetize the Warrior W now, it has literally the same design as the MeiLong (MoYu copied QiYi) Compare the 4x4 and 5x5 with the QiYi budget cubes, I wonder if they are similar (or the same) I also think that QiFan can be better as most of QiYi's budget cubes are not that great OOTB but get better later.
Exactly! They all too tight and dry ootb, but loosen up just enough quite soon to perform a lot better! For 4x4 and upwards. No way near top level cubes, but they at least become controlable without any added setup! Warrior W aint that worth magnetising. I've done it and with the same magnets i used on a YLM and Meilong, its just not much improved compared to the stock one. Cause it's a bit thicker and i'd have probably needed stronger magnets. I assume mine were n35 and maybe needed n40 or so. But with other better options at hand, like the ones i mentioned above, you're wasting time and effort and resources magnetising a warrior w!

It depends. If you are ok with a slower cube but like stability, go with the RS2M. If you want something faster but a little harder to control, get the RS3M. If you want a balance between stability and speed, go with the Little Magic M.
MF3RS2 M Better
Little magic m is what I like
@@NoahS4226 MF3RS2 isn't slow.
i made a magnetic meilong, its actually pretty ok, got some solid singles on it. However, the plastic is wayyy too slippery and i still prefer the ylm over it
I wish this was made sooner because I already got my puzzles a month ago so I can't get these
Same!
I was 3 minutes away from getting the meilong 4x4x4 in my country it sold out :(
ankith mahesh awww!!!! That’s rough. I mean there is other cubes out there.
@@ClumsyCuber yeah I got a qiyi qisan 4x4
ankith mahesh nice
Yep, I bought the meilong budget cubes, and I don't like the 5x5 much, thanks to pops, the 4x4 is a little bit average, but the 3x3 is extremely good, after lubing actually. The 3x3 was the only one that came pre-lubes in the set, and I think it's corner cutting is not too good after 45°. This cube is great after l tensioned it properly and lubed it, though it did take me weeks to get good to it. The solves are good in the cube, but I think if magnetised, this is going to be a pleasure to play with. Good for the price too.
I have magnetized a Meilong and it's really good, also, my Meilong came too loose out of the box.
Nice, but you mean the 3x3? I'm asking I just got the Meilong 3x3, it's a bit tight, and I can't find a screwdriver anywhere...And 1 question, did you lube it?
The Meilong 3c 3x3 comes in a magnetic version which is meilong 3m and I had a great experience with that and I think it is the cheapest magnetic cube you can buy with the price of only 6.00$ and it even comes in 2x2,4x4,5x5,6x6 and so on
I also bought the Qiyi Sail the day before yesterday but the non magnetic one 😢
I was also hunting for a main so I ordered a Gan 356 R
Sad life u know 😢
Is anyone else addicted to unboxing vids? No just me well i thought so

“Hmm, it feels just like the Rubik’s speed cube.... except good.”
LOL
I live in the UK and all of the cubing stores either don't have or have sold out the meilong 4x4. One shop has it but only the stickered version but I don't want to go through the trouble of keeping the in good condition
Please try the yuxin little magic 4x4
I have the meilong 3x3, it is a great cube, You just need to adjust the screws, i got a 2:38 with ot while my PB was 5:39.
Please check the magnetic version of the 3x3 ,4x4 and 5x5..
Please Dylan I have to know the feeling and your opinion of these 3 cubes..
As long as I have heard that they are AMAZING.
Please do consider this...
Bought Meilong 2*2. Not at all disappointed.
6:05 its QiYi Sail W box hahahah
Yes yes yes
Got the Meilong M 4x4 last week. I love it. Coming from the Shengshou v2 4x4 from like 2011, its a massive upgrade. My pb and average dropped from 3min to almost under 1min since I got it. Still not sure if I want to go hard in 5x5 and get a AuChuang WR M or if I wanna go with the Meilong M 5x5 tho.
both 4 and 5 meilong m is great. i have the 2-5 and all are great except for 2x2
I ended up going with the MGC M5 and it was also a massive improvement. My time dropped from 5 or 6minutes to sub-4 immediately with a 2.5min pb. Im sure if I practiced more id be under 2min already. I hated 4x4 and 5x5 until I got these cubes.
Try the yuxin little magic 4x4 m
He did
4:20 i bought this one for $2.50 at a chinese items store and it's my first speedcube
Puts lube in meilong cube.....
J perm: so i put weight 3 lube because it was closest to me at the time...
😂😂
Lol
Great! I like what you are doing with budget cubes!
I was maybe thinking about doing something like this but I suppose that’s what I get for being late... 😢
Haha cookie see you on every cuber video
@@lauritsjacobsen8345 lol, i scroll through comments whenever J perm uploads because it's kind of entertaining to see what people have to say :D
What an amazing unboxing. Best Cuber ever!!!
We’re not beginners so we can set cubes up.... we’re just poor 😂😂
So true😂😂😂😂

Will you do a review on the Yuxin Little Magic 4x4 m?
On the cubicle.com it is.
Me : it's almost 2 am and I haven't done the homeworks
Also me : Watches J Perm
Got the Meilong 3x3 yesterday as my first speed cube...
I agree with J-Perm, it probably could be better magneted but i still love this
Cube solve hero have magnetized the meilong 3x3
I have a Meilong 3x3 at home, and my friend acidentally dropped it in the sand. I was so sad because that cube was my only good cube and that was a gift from another friend. So I washed it. Then it seems normal again. But it just gets dirty after it is dry. So I kept asking my mom to buy a new cube and finally I have a good cube (and it is the X-Man Tornado V2 M).
perfectly 12 am nice i wish to win the giveaway
edit: thanks for 16 likes most i got

Usually I use the Meilong 4×4 as my main. I just love it
Who's watching this in 2024🎉🎉🎉
exactly 12am in Austrailia, perfect timing
Its 9am over here at Arizona
wow! what a time difference!
It's 11 am in Nebraska
the meilong 4x4 is sold out :(
I think I got the old meilong 4x4 cuz mine can't even reverse corner cut, (really lose tension)
I want to magnetize the Warrior W now, it has literally the same design as the MeiLong (MoYu copied QiYi)
Compare the 4x4 and 5x5 with the QiYi budget cubes, I wonder if they are similar (or the same)
I also think that QiFan can be better as most of QiYi's budget cubes are not that great OOTB but get better later.
Im sorta early squad I guess? Well nice video!
I have that 6x6 the first one u tried u have too turn it a lot to get it faster. :)
You turn a 6x6 faster than i can turn a 3x3
6:05 that's the box for the qiyi sail w and not for the yuxin black kirin lol
I’m a simple person
I see J perm I click
This was a good video for me because im just a beginner and i was thinking of buying other cubes than a 3x3. Keep up the good work
I remember being broke middle schooler trying to learn 3x3 on $1 cube
Now im still broke, thats why i watch this:')
Jperm. My yuxin kylin came with a defect. The magnets did not attract they repealed, and I don’t blame scs
What do you want him to do about it
