The guy playing Buster's dad looks like he could be Al Bundy's (married with children show) dad🤣 same facial features and antics. Thanks for posting all these priceless old movies.

Very nice silent. Buster never fails to impress. Fantastical stunts. the last one third of the movie is a tour de farce. A one man show, really. Just a joy to watch. Classic comedy ⭐⭐⭐⭐all week long! 👍 CCC!
It's not only the incredibly athletic ability of Buster Keaton, but the carpenters who built the set who were also fantastic. This film must have been expensive to make.
i loved that father-son relation, even though the father felt disappointed at his son he would still protect him from bullies and even give him money for the way back.
This and Walt Disney's "Steamboat Willie" came out the same year. I wonder if one drew inspiration from the other or if it was just one of those freak coincidences? (Willie and Bill are both nicknames for William!)

This movie was made over 100 years ago. The youngest actor was probably 5. I can't think of any actors alive today who are 106, so no it isn't hard to realize.
