she is such a fluid and feminine dancer. She exudes beauty and presence on stage. She fills the whole stage without needless extra turns or excess beats, etc.
you are so right. she really doesn't need to get her legs higher than anyone else to be one of the finest dancers on earth. she has such a smooth movement quality, and her technique couldn't be cleaner, yet she never lacks personality - I recognized her on a youtube video of relatively poor quality that didn't even say what dancer or company it was.
Her Chopiniana solo is a dream. I like that she's floating like a cloud even on jetes. Without trying to make a huge ballon. Recollecting Fokin's memoires i think that this is exactly how he wanted it to be.
Все что ни делает Дюпон все мне кажется самым лучшим совершенным музыкальным выразительным Сильная артистичная Руки ее без жеманства и нелепых движений Все то органично
holy shit. that third vairation features music from "Il Ballo de quattro staggioni" from one of my favorite operas. it's especially a treat to see one of my favorite dancers dancing to music by my favorite composer. thanks so much for sharing this video! made my night
What I love about Aurelie is that she isn't a freakish dancer in any way, she doesn't have freakishly amazing feet (although they are still beautiful) and her legs aren't "nice" because they are super high (although she can get them up when she wants) but she is just a beautiful dancer to watch as she is, like the old classics (Anna Pavlova etc) :)
@Cazarellagaia I love that you picked up on those subtleties. I feel very similar about how she's more than her mere body: her presence, beauty, grace, and flawless technique simply speak for themselves.
Thank goodness her Mom encouraged her to dance. Her sister was also a dancer, it must be in their genes. So what chance does her small son Jaques have, with his father Jeremie Belingard also being an Etoile, and an excellent dancer himself. A future Star perhaps?
I think her solo in Les Sylphide is very hard because one has to square! Very hard to cheat ones turn out. But she is such an inspiration! I love watching her. Maybe someday I will watch her live
I don't wanna think when will arrive the time to her to retire. It will be such a lost for the ballet. She's a real artist. So perfect, so artistic, so femminine.
Whilst this clip shows Aurelie when she was younger, she still retains the same qualities as a excellent Dancer, some years and 2 babies later. With only 2 years officially to go to her possible retirement age, it seems awful that we may not be able to enjoy her performances on stage. after this date. Although there are of course other good dancers at the POB how can one imagine who could possibly replace her.?
@Lucyballet1994 The tutus here are not "romantic tutus", romantic styles are long and more dress like, either hitting the knee or ankle. These are classical tutus, in the 'belle' shape, which differ from the pancake type in being less stiff and a bit more droopy. :)
@lakenvelder0pandora The first one is :P I hadn't watched the whole video to be fair when I replied, the second one is a belle shape as you said, not sure about the last one it reminds me of the juliet tutu in romeo and juliet :)

She's a goddess! I'll never get tired of wathcing this magnificent artist.

Such musicality! Thank you very much.

She's amazing... She's one of the best I think. She's so graceful ! It's a pleasure to look at her...
she is very beautiful, elegant, lots of class in all her performances.
I especially love her Spring .
It is beautifu and good musical sensitively !!
a LEGENDARY interpretation of Verdi's Spring.

Very inspiring and moving to watch; she is so sincere and expressive. She reminds me of Taglioni.
@Cazarellagaia

Magnifique et extra!!!
She looks like Karsavina in les Sylphides. I was there!
the thing about French dancers is that they make the most awkward choreography look easy and simple
That second variation is torture!
QUEEN
She's the one I know who dances most harmonically...
Beautiful, Aurelie

sublime+++++++++++++++++++++
She really couldn't be any finer. Crisp and clean technique, regal, feminine. The epitome of POB ballet.
Quelle belle danseuse quelque soit le style.❤

Mazurka from Les Sylphides (also called Chopiniana Ballet)

That arabesque 3:45
SHE IS STRONG ANS SO CLEAN!
💯💯💯💯💯
@flubished these are tutus, called romantic tutus :P personally I prefer them, less stiff, more feminine in my opinion

She's the one.
@Cazarellagaia
She also doesn't have amazing turn out... Yet, she's still amazing.
She is amazing. there are sometimes when she could have more expression, though.
I'm getting cramps in my feet...
ahh she has my name!
I'm not trying to be rude:
BUT: Is it me or do her hands seem disconnected at times? Especially in the second segment this video?
yeah... it's you!
m
Quelle lourdeur et quelle froideur!
is it just me who thinks tehir second position is too big? or its how they teach ballet dancers in france?
Who cares?
too hectic
Please elaborate...
