[11:49] "Look at PR Balrog's face: that's the face of the hunting animal"... "Meanwhile Daigo looking exactly as he would if he'd won that round" :D :D :D :D :D LOOOOL :D
I'm a Daigo fan just like anyone else but I gotta agree with the other posters who were annoyed at the commentary. Daigo lands a simple "2-in-1" style cancel and they are beside themselves with glee whereas P.R. Balrog lands an awesome 11 hit combo full of links, cancels and FADC extensions and they are too busy talking about the weather or some other thing to notice. I mean his combo at 9:00 was BEYOND awesome and they are like "let's keep talking about the raging demon attack Daigo did 15 seconds ago"
It''s so cool how you can really see the key moment where the player loses his chance to win. In 29:14, PR Balrog really could have committed and pushed Daigo a little further to the corner, but instead went for an easy tick throw option, but got complacent with the lead and MISSED the charge punch input. This allowed Daigo to regain the neutral, get the dive kick combo into the demon setup.
Yes PR Balrog was quite impressive; but the guy with the more nerves did win in the end. That moment at 30:14 was absolutely critical in the match, that's where Daigo showed his nerves and did win. It was not a matter of techniques but of strength of mind.
To answer to what they were saying at 18:18, players are ducking on reaction to rush punches because it's the best option overall. Upper and regular wiffs so they can punish, lower gets blocked and overhead is rarely used. Statistically, there's so much incentive to duck, but Eduardo can pick up on people using this tech and will then respond with using the overhead more. That's why there's a lot of more overheads used AND landed in the Balrog vs Snakeeyes match (I can't say about this one, haven't finished watching it). It's kinda cool that even with the regular rush punch can whiffing crouching opponents, in the highest level of play it can actually be an advantage.
To this day, as I said years ago, I just don't understand why this backdash came instead of the jump back fierce into the win. Daigo is notorious for the fake hop kick into demon when he has full meter. I remember watching this with a group of friends and us yelling out the Demon is coming on wake up! PR Rog had this in the bag and controlled this set the majority of the way. Had the mental game on lock , but lost it in this critical moment. Three different occasions he should have won. As a tournament player and someone who performs in front of huge crowds myself, I understand the pressure every now and then, but damn this one was painful to watch for Rog. It is what it is though. Daigo and PR are both amazing and will both always be among my favorite SF players ever. Looking forward to seeing them both again.
I don't know if anybody cares after 5 years or so, but during the final interview Daigo says he practiced the rose matchup a lot, but he knows Luffy has a tough schedule ahead of himself (issues while traveling caused him to get there a day later and had to play all his matches in one day) and hopes that Luffy can fight at full power regardless of this
Yeah, and that demon was telegraphed. No idea how Rog got hit by it. I even thought Daigo might reset his knockdown combo just to make it trickier and harder to predict the demon coming. But he didn’t even do that, just got it normally. If I was Rog I’d have just woke up with EX headbutt. He must’ve thought that Daigo would bait him and just block for some reason, that’s the only option a backdash would be better for over EX headbutt. Bad guess.
Funny part is he is so talented. 2nd at mvc3 first year. 2nd at sfxt with Ricki, 3rd at evo in 2012 for sf4. And 4th the year after that. Dude is the greatest runner up in fighting games. Extremely talented but chokes.
18:11 Ô.Ô"WHAT"!!! And E.Ryu still standing after that Ex Dash Swing Blow.C'mon Daigo Block! He probably was looking to throw him in that scenario. Congratz Tho
Daigo's winning face : ( '_' ) Daigo's losing face : ( '_' ) Daigo's face after going down to 6-3 : ( '_' ) Daigo's face after winning è-6 : ( '_' ) ahhahahahahahhahahahahahhaha
pr rog needed better opponents for a longer period of time to do topenga. the fact he did as well as he did with the yomi level going on in japan compared to usa really stands a testament to his potential, even at that level.
One must admire the cold blood and focus about Daigo. Pity this game has gone awfully bad from SF4 to this USF4 in almost every aspect. SF4 promised a lot.
Edwardo won Daigo in CapcomCup. and won here again in the first 5, by every aspect outplaying him that hard. Then in the end, the comeback I felt was almost unnecessary.
Boabdil Perez He took a shit ton of risks at Capcom Cup because it was a short set, Daigo always shines at long sets. PR Rog used to be way more patient and strategic and that got him to topple Tokido back when his Akuma was God. His style has changed to an aggressive type brawler but that also let him beat Infiltration basically when he was dominating every tournament in existence.
HomestarRunner20X6 Daigo cant be a tier hugger when daigo is the one dictating the tier list he played RYU vanilla instant top tier , use YUN instant top tier , use evil ryu TOP TIER if daigo say deejay and dan is top tier then they are top tier you muricans will just have to follow it
MrFoxtrotpro smh it's not Daigo who dictates the tier list. If so, then Ryu would've been considered top tier for a long time. It's Sako who dictates the tier list. Picks up Cammy, shows 10 Sako combos and IA Cannon Strike. Picks up Ibuki, shows 500 Sako combos. Picks up Satsui Ryu, shows 5 Sako combos. Picks up Elena, shows 3 Sako combos.
Daigo’s ability to adapt over long sets is just insane
Love how balrog tells an evil demon to give him all his money like evil ryu works at burger king or something
9:01 cool combo!

+hockey1973 yeah there were multiple 1 frame links in that combo.
truth
Then people and you didnt watch the entire set. They talk about PR Balrog soo much! and how much they admire HIS Balrog.
Um actually the commentators are biased toward pr rog but aight
Daigo interview: "i only practised against rose"
It''s so cool how you can really see the key moment where the player loses his chance to win.

Mike Ross cracking up at Daigo's cadence at 34:40 is hilarious
Yes PR Balrog was quite impressive; but the guy with the more nerves did win in the end. That moment at 30:14 was absolutely critical in the match, that's where Daigo showed his nerves and did win. It was not a matter of techniques but of strength of mind.
Fuck… this was 9 years ago… I remember watching this on stream… God I feel old…

OMG. Daigo!!!! Love you so much :))
Best SF player of all time!!!!
not quite
He is pretty up there. Who would you pick?
chanthien99 Daigo is one of thr best playerd across all installments of SF, and he was the best in SF4
actually quite
He literally is the Guinness record holder for all Street Figther games. He is the winningest player of all time... so yes, quite!
get daigo drunk just before the interview so he can speak english
19:48 -----BEAST MODE ACTIVATED!

What did he say about the pr Balrog match? The translation was so short even tho daigo said much more
Interesting thanks, do you speak Japanese fluently?
@@Brokout kinda
Balrog just gave the whole set when he rushed at 29:00. I mean, he could just capitalize on the lifelead but instead he started to ask for that demon.
Yeah, and that demon was telegraphed. No idea how Rog got hit by it. I even thought Daigo might reset his knockdown combo just to make it trickier and harder to predict the demon coming. Rog fell apart after Daigo started coming back. He choked.
32:59 a full comeback after it was 6 ,2 for Barlog , Daigo reversed everything upside down !
6 - 3
9:00 godlike
These two are so fun to watch! The best balrog vs the best ryu
Fantastic play from PR, nice combo at 9 mins. Daigo looking smug after that 10th round
a month later...'You gonna Red Focus me!?'
After his fighting game career, PR Rog must now become Robert De Niro's new stunt double. For dialogue scenes.
Balrog let his emotions get to him.
Alex Salinas always. That’s why he will never be great. Always the same story with this guy.
Funny part is he is so talented. 2nd at mvc3 first year. 2nd at sfxt with Ricki, 3rd at evo in 2012 for sf4. And 4th the year after that. Dude is the greatest runner up in fighting games. Extremely talented but chokes.

Maike Rodrigues He really channels Ryu’s zen.
That crazy 1 frame Rog combo at 9:00!
Daigo was just like "Fuck you for eliminating me from the Capcom cup!"
wow that comeback daigo is a beast
why the first word that come from daigo voice is : "SOOO"
そうですね(sou desu ne)
Kinda means, "Yeah, that's right."
11:40 that focus... why'd Daigo just stand there and take it?
Probably thought he wouldn't go for the lvl 3 focus
That fucking comeback holy shit
Really suspect translation during post interview... wtf!
PR Rog vs. Daigo 2: The Return of the Hype
pr rog needed better opponents for a longer period of time to do topenga. the fact he did as well as he did with the yomi level going on in japan compared to usa really stands a testament to his potential, even at that level.
Pr rog combo at 9:00 naaassttyyyy ooòoo
Umeharas just keeps on trucking
that raging demon was sexy af to prevent balrog from taking that game
9:00 way to talk over one of the hypest rushes of the set.
6 - 3 to 6 - 7 is insane 🔥
Man what a heartbreaker.
The Comeback 😂❤️
PR’s Balrog is Diago’s Evil Ryu toughest rival.
I renounce my christianity as I convert to the church of Daigo.
Lol
***** yes! I get to play him im heaven then!
***** really? did he say that? cause it says that only about 0.7% of japanese are christian.
Aaron James people still believe that stuff...oh dear.
Patroclus Well, it's not like evolution is much better. Science is the new God for most people.
such good match this one! So glad this is not best of three
9:00
Daigo is the Anderson Silva of Street Fighter. GOAT
Except he doesn't cheat and He didn't break his own leg . Fedor would be more appropriate or Cain Valesquez
29:20 a play so absurd even their mics died
Seth Rogan - 50lbs = Seth Killian
This was a stamina game, daigo plays literally everyday all day. Balrog just zoned out of the game after half the set.
Diago interview: I haven't practiced against boxer so there's a chance😔
Diago thinking: I'm gonna be polite but he hasn't got a chance😄
Didn't expect PR balrog to have the heavy accent he looks like he wouldn't have one.
he's from puerto rico, that's what the pr means
+Olga Svenselts I'm aware doesn't pertain to my comment
yes it does. he is from Puerto Rico hence why he has the accent.
BALROG FICA SO ABAIXADO PARECE QUE ESTA CAGANDO
E PERDEU AINDA
Fica abaixando pra carregar o ataque especial
2020 anyone?
I can't wait til Evil Ryu comes to SFV. BEAST
Well Evil Ryu is no more we have Kage the Satsu No Hado got out of Ryu s Body and manifested as a separate entity !
i feel like rog fell behind once daigo started using more hado
Long live the BEAST
Only Raging demon makes Daigo smile
What gives with the weird rules? Why were they fighting so many segs
One must admire the cold blood and focus about Daigo. Pity this game has gone awfully bad from SF4 to this USF4 in almost every aspect. SF4 promised a lot.
wow what a set . i honestly thoght PR had it .
That translator needs a translator himself
"...his eyes are opening just a little wider." @15:09 racial injustice? Lol jk
Man he was up by 3 and still lost.
daigo so cute with the bed hair
Edwardo won Daigo in CapcomCup. and won here again in the first 5, by every aspect outplaying him that hard. Then in the end, the comeback I felt was almost unnecessary.
Even he himself can't believe he lost...
Bills vs zenosama
Legends, I tell ya!
Alle wunderbare menschen. Bleibt gesund.
Man, PR had so much momentum in that match. Super tough loss.
THE BEAST!!!!!! 👊🏾
daigo is strong with evil ryu law they used as fatal
PR SALTROG
Brutal
rip balrog
nah pr played really good
Comeback king!
monster killll
Epic
HAHAHAHAHA Diago wasting 4 bars in the second game because he is so scared....
actually to finish the round, but it failed
I'm done believing in Eduardo. He's good but now a days when he's so close to winning it always gets snatched away. Breaks my heart
I agree,
Unfortunately He crumbles under pressure. He's an amazing player but his nerves betrays him.
He's an emotional player, which is why I like to follow him, amazing highs when he has confidence, but he falls apart just as much.
He's got one more year left in him, don't give up on him yet!
Jon Ford He put Daigo away at Capcom Cup, I wouldn't be so ready to predict his retirement quite yet. Anyone can be clutch at this level of play.
Boabdil Perez He took a shit ton of risks at Capcom Cup because it was a short set, Daigo always shines at long sets. PR Rog used to be way more patient and strategic and that got him to topple Tokido back when his Akuma was God. Holy shit
daigo sin tiros no existe asco.

Wow, this translator is terrible.
sad, i would've liked to see PR win
commentary was awful
people commenting here about how amazing daigo is, probably dont know a thing about street fighter.
its not funny or anything, its just sad.
Daigo "one move, one chatacter". Joke who got found out. True story.
Pr, I love you bro, but you let Diago off the hook way too many times. You're still my favorite player to watch along with Gamer bee.
Thomas Storff Off the hook ? LOL .
evil ryu is the best char in sf clearly so. its not that hard beating players at your level with a better char
