Excellent win Xiaohai especially against Daigo in a long set match which is extremely hard to do. What amazes me about Daigo is even today in 2021, his name is still as popular as it was 20 years ago which shows the man is a living legend.
Diago is the legend in SF. His fireball game works against 99% of opponents. Xiaohai, on the other hand, is the legend in KoF, and is well known for incredible footsies and reads. Xiaohai played his strong footsie and jump-in game while Diago couldn't make good adjustment once his fireball game got stalled. Kudos for both players.

So who has the “better fireball game?” Who had more 1) jump-ins, 2) ultra through fireballs, 3) ex through regular fireballs? The jump-ins shows a bit of carelessness on the excessiveness (and good reads on Xaiohai’s part).

Xiao hai is as good as daigo skill wise if he can beat him in mirror match. Only difference is he probably didn't spend time learning matchups like daigo does

It must be a skill thing cos usually the person who does one framers compared to one that doesn't is a much stronger player unless they get beaten by skill. I have played players who never miss one framers and can tell the practiced it religiously but i have better skill and mind games so i win.

I been watching the scene in sf4 days for long time and don't remember beating xiaohao many time as you claim. But it sounds like you are making excuses for Daigo(like a lot of Daigo fans do I'm not sure why)that he lost because he was doing kara demon...this was a long mirror match and Xiaohai has beaten him in the mirror match again in seam 2015 all this is a huge huge feat and not "luck" when Daigo was at his prime.
Adderly Puntiel quality play has little to do with combo variety or length. having solid confirms, solid reads, and capitalizing on every opportunity is a much larger indicator of great play, especially with a shoto. and ultimately, those character specific axe kick loops are great and all, but they dont do THAT much more damage than the more standard combos, and if you hit them twice as often, you get more damage anyways. Sako is a great player, with probably the best execution in the world, but to discredit either of these players is simply unfair, they were both making great use of all of E. Ryus tools. Sako would never hit the hop kick into super as many times as Daigo has, or utilize U1 as effectively as Xiaohai. All three are great for different reasons.
@Ryan Ohlson I know where you're coming from, and of course Daigo is a great player and all but if you watch his previous videos in other tournaments he be missing a lot of his E.Ryu combos and he was getting punished pretty bad right after. I think he just give up on them sense he couldn't finish them. And that's why he'd be sticking with evil Ryu common combo lol and trust me a really good confirmed combo can save your life sometimes lol
