    Just bought a mini table top smokeless pot and saw this video on both pellets and wood!
    Thank you

    A lid should come with the pot to more easily put out the fire when needed. For the price you would think it would.

    An excellent presentation. Well spoken, no wasted chat, just a good solid review. Just what I needed. Still trying to decide between the Mesa, the Mesa XL, and the little backpack Lite stove (although I think I'm eliminating the Lite since we have a B camper and are never going to be heading off and cooking in the wilderness.) Marshmallows or a couple of sausages are about as fancy as we need to get.
    Bonus: nice to see someone in my age range! Subscribed!

    Well done. Really informative. I think you answered about every question I had. I had secretly hoped that the second beverage was just a larger version of the previous nights pour. 😂

    How hot does it get above the mesa tabletop pit? Would like to try on my patio but we have a canvas canopy.

    I wonder if solo has any plans to make cooktops or great deflectors for this little fire pit.

    Does this actually put out decent heat or is it more for ambience? I'd like to get one but only if it puts out some heat.

    • @swaggypanda3879
      @swaggypanda3879 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have one, if your wanting heat you have to be prepared with enough fuel to keep it raging, if you keep the mesa constantly topped off it will rage pretty well and put off enough heat to have a lawn chair fairly close to it and sit. The heat is almost directly-directed up, so sitting close and leaning forward will give you nice warmth. Almost little heat is produced from the sides. But like I said you need to have the little stove constantly topped off for it to really rip. Ive gotten mine to put out a solid 5 foot flame.

    I see you have a layer between table and stove? Is it get that hot

    • @GadgetTalk4U
      @GadgetTalk4U ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really. My little table has a faux top so I didn't want to take any chances. Wood, tile, or glass would be fine.

    I presume you are using Hardwood? I have been using some softwood chunks and my Mesa XL is burning through them in less than 5 minutes. I have to keep feeding the thing constantly!

    • @GadgetTalk4U
      @GadgetTalk4U ปีที่แล้ว

      I've used pellets and I got 1 pounds bag of smoking wood chunks. Both work well. It's a small hot space so refilling happens fairly soon. I think for me, it's been more like every 10 minutes that I drop another small chunk it. Thanks for commenting.

    • @theweekendcamper2747
      @theweekendcamper2747  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've been using the "haystack" style starters for Amazon. They work well for me.

    Question please
    Can I use any wood pellet? I see flavored ones etc, will any work?

    • @theweekendcamper2747
      @theweekendcamper2747  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Any pellets will work. Avoid heating stove pellets if you're planning to cook (smores etc).

      @@theweekendcamper2747 thanks may I ask why to avoid heating ones for like s’mores hotdogs etc?

    • @AZJim12
      @AZJim12 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Ali Man Heating pellets, as I understand it, may have petroleum additives to enhance heat, but that you wouldn't want to consume. Check the label. Cooking pellets are just sawdust pressed together. Cheers.
