We, as Sundanese people in Indonesia, also experience the same thing, young Sundanese in Indonesia, especially in urban areas, many cannot or have lost their mother tongue. and even parents here have no intention of teaching their mother tongue to their children. Not only Sundanese, but almost all ethnicities in Indonesia experience the same thing. It's sad to hear that Buryatia people don't know their native language because their national anthem is so good lol

'Dying language' is a very subjective and ill-defined term. Even if 300,000 Buryats use the language in one generation, if young people are not using it in the next generation, the language will radically diminish in its userbase.
Buryat culture and religions were all but destroyed during Soviet times. Buryat "shamanism" became illegal, as was the drumming in Ger. It's not propaganda.
