The counterweight has to go on the highest leg
Actually the main reason for it to go on the highest leg is to have enough room to hang without touching the floor. That way all the weight rests on the leg. But in this video, she is using some kind of counterweights that are not touching the floor.
You want your weight on the highest leg like going up a hill. You wouldn't walk with your head tipping back would you?! Youth... nice images!
you will get a little more utility out of that by using a grip head and baby pin to attach your monolight. I use a baby pin with a divot.
Thank you!! Wish I would’ve seen these before sell mine and buying a more expensive one 🙈
I bought the heavy duty boom because I had no luck lol I also bought a new light first shoot is tomorrow so we shall see how goes
Hi Lela, how do you attach your strobe to the umbrella, such that the umbrella doesn’t slide down when positioned upside down?
Thank you for the video! Can you tell me how you keep your umbrella from sliding through the umbrella holder on your light? Mine just slides down. I I am trying to look to see if there’s an attachment, but still don’t have a concrete answer on this any help would be appreciated!
Thank you so much for sharing 🙏🏼
Start from the beginning. You start at adding the bar. How to you add the piece that attaches to the bar
But what specific light modifier is that? Is it just a regular large umbrella softlighter? Or is that parabolic? Or….?
Bravo 👏🏼
Which stand is this?
Mine still flips over🤦🏽♀️
put a sandbag over the tallest leg, have the grip arm extended over the tallest leg, and don't have the grip arm extended all the way out. Use the light that weighs the least and a smaller modifier.
I typically run a beauty dish on a grip arm and occasionally an umbrella. I leave about 18 inches of the arm sticking out the rear of the grip head. Haven't had a problem
I have problems with grip arms and softboxes over 25 inches. It's all about balance and it's hard to balance a medium sized softbox on a grip arm.
