Why is it call a recirculating toilet? All it does is store the waste until you dump it.

It pretty much is making a blended poop/pee smoothie. For flushing a regular toilet would use fresh water. The recirculating toilet uses its own smoothie instead of water.
It's as disgusting and bad smelling as you imagine.
It's like washing out a port a pot with what has been left in the toilet of a port a pot. And no deodorant additives for outhouses or port a potties can get rid of the smell. They only barely reduce smell in undisturbed toilet systems and have no effect on outhouse contents in smoothies re-used like water.
I have a 1971 camper and it has a water holding tank and no grey water tank or black holding tank. It did have a recirculating toilet that was it's own black tank and it was ripped out of the bathroom immediately and replaced with a flushing camping toilet, best decision ever. At least with the camping toilet it flushes with clean water and is usable, which the recirculating toilet was forbidden to use.

@@rottnlove Mindy so its a bad idea to buy recirculating toilet? thats the reason we dont see any videos of its build in caravan

@@nikhilm.r1854 @Nikhil M.R as I previously mentioned the recirculating toilet that was in my camper functioned but there's a chance it was not functioning as it should have. The way the recirculating toilet that I have personally experienced was like washing the walls of a porta potty by closing the door then turning the whole "room" upside down and shaking it like youre after the most accurate fortune from the magic 8-ball toilet bowl.
As for installing into a caravan, I personally would still go with the flushing cassette types. If I need a toilet I put it in the bathroom, if I am camping in a campground with toilets I can leave it in the back shed. I don't have a permanent fixture to haul around adding weight to my camper or my Chevy Trax I can put it in if I will be using a tent instead.
I bought the Coleman's flushing camp toilet when they first came out and after seeing it my parents purchased one for themselves to use instead of the toilet in their 31ft bunkhouse camper. Both camp toilets are still in perfect condition for being over 10 years old. If one should break somehow, it's less than 100$ for a complete replacement for a similar camp toilet in a newer model.
So, it's for camping, I'm not living in the camper or my suv to need a full sewer setup hookup. And if I were to purchase a modern camper with full bathroom I probably would use a camp flushing toilet instead as well. I don't want to have to move the whole camper just to dump the black tank.
