Doing ABSOLUTELY nothing from time to time is actually really really helpful. In such a fast world with so many distractions, sitting still and just watching your thoughts, visualizing and just thinking is so peaceful but also leeds to great ideas!

I just finished reading Atomic Habits by James Clear and I see where you get some of your video ideas from, I sit there after reading a chapter and contemplate things in my life related to what I've just read. It's very fullfilling. Unfiltered Hamza is the best Hamza I hate bs I prefer it when people are more Open.

Hmm, I have similiar ideas which Hamza have, I'm overthinker myself and around 3 times in my life till now I had serious crisis of some kind, the thing about myself which I like the most is my logic and that influence my brain to think more than feelings do. I do what Hamza said "staring at the wall", sometimes even literally, but usually when I'm bored (that's quite very often) and when I feel free (in my brain, having none personal problems). I heard that intelligent and/or more mature people do this, but I don't think I'm much intelligent (surely not above 115), but yeah I'm more mature and somewhat smarter than my peers; it may be just because I'm not that part of society though and that I have balanced parents (all 3 attachment styles, but mostly secure like 60%). Right now I'm 17 years old, didn't read much books, maybe the most 5 books in my whole life and just once was not because of school. I'm struggling in "self improvement" which I rather call "evolution of person" , I don't have that much freedom to do much my self improvement because I don't have my room now when it's cold and I gotta sleep in living room, I use my pc and desk in my parents room so sometimes I have bit more privacy, but mostly it's hard to have it. I'm quite ambitious man, I feel like I have warrior mentality which society puts down, and to be honest I'm afraid of myself and how much I can evolve; if I'm similiar to Hamza (except socially which I'm trying to improve almost everyday) in this stage, I'm not sure how much I could achieve and will I stay on right way or at least not go crazy haha. To be honest I'm not sure why I posted this here it's just that people in real life don't understand me, (often because I don't express myself the best and my thoughts, except if I have bit longer time to think; sometimes they don't know what to say and they just...I guess are speechless and amazed and it already happened several times and it even shocks me when I reflect on it), so I look for similiar minded people on internet like Hamza, Chris from 1stman, Elisha Long, some youtuber Dre (forgot name, recently found him), and several guys in one of Zyzz's related servers on discord (one guy is my age, but others bit older 20+). I want revolution where and when there are more strong men who can relate to each other and have brotherhood/s, but right now society is full with ignorant and weak man, something is coming and we should help it bring new revolution, if not us next generation will surely do with our guidance and continue our evolution. Discomfort is where men seek strength and become stronger and better men, surrender yourself with discomfort so you can at least try to evolve. It's win or lose now brothers.

To be fair i attribute to this " just thinking " practice a lot of merit for my personal growth and creativity. I've always done it, every day i spend between 30 minutes and one hour just thinking and talking to myself about various things. It has actually become a bit of a problem, because i could just procrastinate while being lost in thought, and that's the reason why i started meditating. Now, i think i reached the golden balance where i'll be mostly present and focused troughout the day, but then allow myself some moments to just think and sprout new ideas. Thinking is a super important evolutionary tool, and most people definitely don't do it enough. Meditation helps with regulating it and not getting constantly lost in thought, and striking a balance between presence and mind wondering is one of the most important things one can do on their self improvement journey.

I completely agree with this Hamza.
Before I got into college I always had time to sit at my desk or in front of a mirror and talk to myself about really anything, basically thinking out loud. It could be school work, something I'd been longing to do and had forgotten about during studying for my GCSEs, hobbies and what not.
When I got into college, I had no time to talk to myself. I was completing coursework, playing videogames with friends, or watching youtube. After a while, I found that I had started forgetting little things; if I had locked the door before going out for example. It was as if I was on autopilot.
Around early December I found myself getting back into the habit of talking to myself, the mental fog lifted within 2 weeks.
Now I make sure to spend at least an hour a day, just talking to myself. I found that it's a verbal way of gratitude journaling, recording them with an app on your phone is a way to keep track of them.
Hope this helped some, you lads who watch this channel are some of the best people around.

Yeah I used to meditate like this until I saw you telling us to do the breathe focus thing (in decently quick and deep and then out slower) . I mean meditating in many different ways is really good so you allow yourself all sorts of sides/benefits like eating a balanced diet.
I’m loving deep journaling now to and I recommend to anyone else reading. If you can’t take your mind of something, write pages about it and find out all about it. Once you write it it’s stored into like the hard drive of your brain, so you still remember and can think about it but it’s like WAY less significant. I go to school as I’m 16 so this helps to literally now allow me to transform my mind and make anything I worry about almost non existent as I understand them worries fully and it’s furthermore been stored somewhere else where it will no longer both me as much.
Thanks fir reading anyone, hope you got some value from this. Also, read Harry Potter If you haven’t guys, it’s amazing, well obviously. Bye bye

Thinking is the process of exhausting thoughts. The only way to get thoughts out of your head is to think about them. It's involuntary, like a heartbeat. Meditation is the act of dedicating time to releasing thoughts. The more your mind wanders, the more mental clutter you have to clear out. It's all part of the process. Good video, man!

  • @Sebastian-rr3hf

I think a Ton and it is causing me social PROBLEMS.
I don't meditate, but i think like crazy. The only problem that happens is that your thinking becomes so good and so fast that in social situations i always have weird questions and an opinion for everything. And another problem is that i pretty much have so many ideas for projects and things it is crazy. And sometimes i take too long in the bathroom. And sometimes i am thinking than taking action.
So thinking is amazing (i have been thinking a lot about thinking) and what i see journal as basically a tool for thinking. But beware of thinking too much. Make sure you have a system to capture you thoughts and also take action on them.

Mindfulness isn't about the thoughts being "bad," like we shouldn't have them... they are going to come whether we like it or not. It's about letting the thoughts arise and falls naturally, without resistance or judgement. Being lost in thought is bad, not because you're having thoughts, but because you are lost in them - meaning, you identify with them. The point is to stop identifying thoughts and to instead witness them come and go, like everything else that appears in consciousness - feelings, aches, sounds, even what you see in your visual field. They are all just appearances in conscious space. We are the space... NOT the thoughts.

After a solid half hour, I realised that my biggest desire at the moment was to move back to the UK completely on my own. It's something that, whilst challenging, really excites me. I've since applied for university at the UK and waiting on responses. I doubt I'd have taken that action without really thinking about it.

Hamza is a prime example of what self-improvement does to men. Obtain average guy. Place average guy in these self-improvement environments. His name is Hamza. He becomes a leader, guiding others to the right path. Along the way he realises that he can't save everyone, everyone has to face that part in life where they contemplate life, thus making the decisions they supposed to, instead of wasting away what you can't get back. The importance of time. Hamza is urgent in improving his life. Hence, wants others to have this urgency need too, so they can become like Hamza... Or better. Because, it's about evolving those around you , that matters, that's humanity. When humans contribute to another, to levitate unknown regions. 👽

Have only watched the first 1 min and 47 seconds of the video when writing this comment.
I get these important thoughts too, that's why I always keep my journal open while meditating. The moment I get any thought worth writing, that needs to be done, I write it down and return immediately to my meditation. I found that doing so makes me even more mindful and have better mediation experience instead of just battling and cancelling out the thoughts.
2nd thing is when I feel like I'm just getting stupid thoughts - I tell myself like mentally and sometimes out wardly (if I'm alone) "I give you permission to think and wander off. You can now think whatever you want. " - as soon as I tell myself that, my mind instantly goes silent.
I know it's weird how our mind works. But when we tell it to shut up and be mindful it goes on a freaking fantasy/thought rampage but when we actively give it permission to wander off, it doesn't.
Hope this helped atleast one person reading.

Yeah. I've noticed such thing that we need to reflect everyday. What it does is-
Our thoughts bother us the whole day. If you'll be mindful enough, you'll be able to witness them and see that they are bothering you. And they need to be pondered upon.
At times when you try to meditate, these thoughts give us a feeling of FOMO(Fear of Missing out).
And the real thing is that unlike social media world FOMO, this one's real.
I legit forgot it once that I wanted to improve my emotional intelligence soon.
And we are human beings. We are supposed to think but how and what we think is on us.

I'm pretty sure I have ADHD, staring and thinking generates A LOT of thoughts as I try to escape simply sitting still. But sometimes in 10 minutes alone of staring doing nothing I will get ideas of things I could be doing - and somehow not allowing myself to get up and do it yet acts like a spring that builds so much energy and motivation towards doing those things that the ten minutes 'wasted' doing nothing help me get far more done. Otherwise I exist in a state of having ideas midway through projects and then I drop one thing and start another and never finish anything.

I agree, thats why i have an hour everyday just to think, and when i have important thoughts in the day i just type them in a note so i don’t forget them and think about them deeply in that hour, also whenever i get like an idea i type it in a note so i don’t forget it

Started going to a rock climbing gym this year and Hamza is one of my big motivators to get out there. I'm using it as opportunity to train my social skills and flirting too. Talking to old men and ladies until I get my exp high enough to use Flirt during the Stacy boss battle. Made juicy eye contact with a girl LOL

That's what I noticed not long ago, just sitting and letting your mind wanders often brings up very good ideas, we're always distracted with something, never having the time to think proper thoughts.

“You don’t give your mind enough time to think” I want to agree with that but I tend to believe that all we do is think. Whatever time we get to think about these toxic & positive thoughts we think. The more we think the more you want to think, you’ll always have something to think about, don’t you think?

The topic you’ve covered in this video is something I noticed a few months into meditating on a consistent basis. Sometimes I’ll meditate and completely clear my head but other times when a thought persists, I’ll let myself brainstorm for a few minutes. Your content is amazing and gives me a lot of insight, keep up the good work as always. Much love

I usually do this when I am in bed waiting to fall asleep, but the disadvantage is that you cannot write down your ideas.
Also, I can advice to not go on your phone when you have to wait small amounts of time, for example in the train or waiting for your next set.
I will still try it in the next few days though.

I've done this but it doesn't get them out of my mind. Meditation is the only chance bar physical exercise to get out of my head. When staring at the wall its incredibly hard to think incisively and you can fall into the trap of thinking about the same thing everyday for hours without any results or answers achieved. It does help you know who you are, or confuse you into to thinking you don't know shit about yourself. I have faith and will continue to think, I've done meditation twice and I liked it. I can see my self doing it more.

I always felt some kind of shamed for enjoying so much my time alone and thinking, talking to myself, etc.
Later I learned about the differences between introverts and extroverts, and of course, I learned that is NOTHING related to being shy. I know so many people that are scared of being alone, and its weird to hear them, being someone who craves for it

I will try something new. I'll do 2 parts on my meditation. In one I'll allow my mind to wander as much as it wants, then another one trying to be as mindful and present as possible. It will be interesting to see the results in a few weeks.

For the last 2 years I’ve started out my meditations where I just mind-wonder for 10 to 15 minutes and put on ambient music or something. I used to think I wasted all that time, but in hindsight It was a pretty healthy practice.

Hamza, you should try going to a meditation class at like, a buddhist or taoist place or something. Maybe the apps are great, haven’t tried them myself, but I wonder how in depth they really go. I trained in Northern Shaolin Kung Fu for many years. Sometimes we meditated in class. My teacher would talk about many many types of different meditation, which has different goals and practices. Some forms of meditation are more for beginners, and some or more advanced. I never appreciated it at the time, and wouldn’t consider myself to be advanced, but this may be worth looking into for you. There’s a buddhist temple near me that has meditation classes on Wednesdays. I was thinking of checking it out and seeing how deep their rabbit hole goes. Idk, I hear the word app and my mind tells me “that’s probably shallow”. Not a fair judgment I know!
