This is definitely helpful! Is there a way to stop the animation of the movie clip if I'm looking to have it only play for a limited time? Or slow the animation down? I want to have the main animation do something else v and not focus on yhr movie as much
I know this is old, but why not using pivot points for the wings? Would have been 10 times faster instead of positioning them to the body after each frame.
whenever i drag and drop my animated symbol into my main timeline it doesnt animate, even though when i go and edit the symbol itself i can see that its animated. how do i make it animate on my timeline as well?
Hi! I had the same problem. What you need to do is click on the butterfly on your main timeline and then check the "Properties" field. There you have to change from "Movie Clip" to "Graphic". This is how I fixed the animation issue.
this Do not work with Export>Movie when we export image sequance , it only shows the outter animation.. any way we can achieve nested animation even in Image Sequance export? this problem is there since earlier versions of the program. i dont know why dont they fix this .
Okkey I got it.. Actuallly I created a movie clip and placed it on the stage. then conveted that MC to Graphic Symbol. that was the problem with me, the Symbol I kept on the stage stays as instance as Movieclip. we just need to re place the Graphic Symbol from lybrary. or select that instance on stage go to properties and chenge it to graphic style. better we take care that we make Graphic symbols on first place.
@@JAIMINPatel88 Thanks for the update. I wasn't sure what was happening and I was going to suggest you look for more info at helpx.adobe.com/ - but you've solved it. Nice!
Figured it out. Apparently in properties under Loop, I had all three of my graphic symbols set to one single frame. I added a few more frames and it worked. Awesome Thank You.
@@3dollarwigfromwalgreens13 thanks for replying with update. My first thought was "not enough frames in the timeline" - this always caught me out so now I add loads of frames at the start so I have room for the animation to occur.
Life saver tutorial - so easy to follow - thanks
Keep it up! This was extremely helpful!
Nested animations is what makes Flash/Animate SO awesome. If Adobe ever gets rid of those, I'll move to a different program in a split second haha
It did .,)
Thank goodness it helped me understand, I was totally lossed thanks!
Wow this is soooo helpful, thanks for the fab tutorial!

Yes pivot points make this a lot easier. I think I did this video 3-4 years ago now. Many improvements since, including the camera.
