Damn. I didn’t even know Rhino had a wife. That’s so messed up. I’m glad Peter helped him out. He truly is one of the best heroes to ever exist. Stan Lee left us a DIAMOND 💎
I learned about it a while back when he attacked Spiderman who was carrying a baby to the hospital. He begged Rhino to let him go for the time and fight later, I can't remember the whole exchange by he did mentioned his wife.
That's one of the things I love about Spidey, his compassion. That's what really makes a great hero. It's not about the powers or epic battles. It's about caring enough about your fellow man to do what's right and help them, because if you have the power to do so, you have a responsibility to do so. That's the whole reason his creed is "With great power comes great responsibility."
Nice. The reluctant brief back and forth between the Rhino and Spiderman sort of reminded me when the Thing and the Sandman simply decided to talk things out between themselves without any violence. Heroes and villains still share the most common things in life - family relationships and similar emotional pain.
I remember when Thing was hospitalized after fighting Gladiator. Thinker was sure that some x-factor would allow one of Ben's many enemies to get into the hospital to finish him off. Eventually Sandman sneaked through the ventilation to share a six-pack with him.
It's so sad to see that in most.. Screw that in ALL OF MEDIA which aren't comics rhino is just presented as "dumb big muscle guy" and nothing else but he's the opposite, he was layers underneath him which makes him a great character and I wish more people knew that rhino is actually a great character and maybe he should get the spotlight that he deserves with a faithful adaption instead of the 4828481015 random elektro appearance which to be quite frank is just a guy that does crimes for the sake of crimes and nothing that major behind it
Moments like these are why spiderman and flash are such human characters. Their rouges galleries interact with them on such a human level that you remember that there’s a normal person under those costumes
This scene gave Rhino so much more character than most adaptations are willing to. He really can be more than just a thick-headed brute if a writer puts in the effort.
Except there isn’t a single group in spidey’s rogues gallery that has a “never kill a spider-totem” rule like the literal Rogues do with their “never kill a speedster” rule
Another hero would've only wanted to put him down. Spidey could relate to the cause of his rage. The hurt of loss and reached out till he reached him. That's why I like Spidey. He'll help in any way he can. Way beyond just knocking heads.

Anyone else remember that time that a bunch of Spidey's villains were invited to his birthday (by Deadpool, I think) and Rhino actually showed up with a rhino hoodie as a gift?
Ben Reilly came back to life and brought a bunch of other characters back to life via cloning, but the process was imperfect; they needed to take a drug that would keep their bodies stable. Once they ran out of said drug, they turned into dust like what Thanos did in Infinity Wars.
I mean, Spidey usually only beats people up because it's basically his last normal resort. If they stop and talk it out, Peter is usually up for that instead. He could forever box about 85% of his villian pool if he just wanted to delete them, He's always holding back.
another reason spiderman is one of the greatest heroes out there. Probably the only guy that can stop people like the Hulk and Rhino by just talking to them.
When well-written, our friend Mr. Parker's best and perhaps defining trait is that he believes in people, often more than they do in themselves. I'm not interested in how strong he is, any character can be as strong as any writer wants. I'm interested in heroes being heroes, and stuff like this is what I mean by that.

Spider-Man comforting one of his most Sinister enemies shows why he lives by Responsibility and why he won't go down a dark path no matter how many times his enemies try to break him, both mentally and physically.
Spider-Man will always be the hero who wants not just to save people from villains, but save villains from themselves. To be the Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, he tries to be a neighbor to everyone possible. That's the appeal of the character. He seriously cares. He takes the burdens of others onto himself, often at great cost. That's what truly makes a hero. Not the violence. Not the strength. But being there to help. And note that Peter only actually attacked once to gain Aleksei's attention and take his focus off of everyone around them. This was also necessary. It made him the focus of Rhino's attention. It also gave his words the best chance of getting through.
