    I wonder if the disparaging symptoms are the root of depression and anxiety in PCOS. How can one be happy when your body is constantly working against you? Scalp hair loss, hirsutism, excessive weight gain (while eating healthy) cystic acne, infertility, skin discoloration from insulin resistance ( acanthosis nigricans), metabolic disorders, irregular/heavy/non-stop or non-existent periods.....the list goes on and on and on. It's awful. How is any woman supposed to be happy with these symptoms?
    What woman wants to embrace a beard, hair loss and infertility at the same time? We have to work 3 times harder than the average woman just to achieve a small weight reduction. Many of us don't even feel like women. We feel like prisoners in our own bodies. At the end of the day, PCOS messes with you mentally because it practically contradicts everything you do. It makes everything so much harder.
    For me, it will rear its ugly head even when I do everything right. Lifestyle changes has never relieved any of my symptoms. My body always reminds me PCOS is there......... It's Fuckery on another level......

    • @Niccole-oq8wo
      @Niccole-oq8wo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @Andi Miller - Yes, I've tried inositol. It didn't work for me. There is evidence that some women with PCOS do not properly convert myo inositol to d chiro inositol. As a result, some of us can't get the benefits of inositol because our bodies don't know how to convert the inositols. However, I've heard wonderful things about that supplement. Just wish it worked for me.
      When I took inositol, I put on 10 pounds in 1 month. It took me nearly 3 months to work it off!! PCOS is too darn complex. I can't say how much I hate it!!!! Lol

      @@Niccole-oq8wo have you tried ovasitol? Or any other inositol supplement with d-chiro-inositol? It was equally harder for me. No matter what I did, I kept gaining weight, I still have all the symptoms, but supplementing for omega-3, inositol (both myo and d-chiro), vitamin D3 + K2 (MK7), and coenzyme Q10 have helped with the weight loss with a healthy balanced diet.
      Incorporate pre- and probiotics in your diet.

    I remember I was 14.5 years old when I first started getting excessive bleeding. I was heartbroken and I cried everyday for 3 months, I was going through a breakup, and cried every hour of the day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and that was my daily routine. I started getting this excessive bleeding the third month and left it untreated, this happened around November 2014, and I finally said something to my parents in april then I got my treatment eating healthy, everything was normal.
    Now I have messed up periods again because I gained so much weight because of depression but I'm eating healthier , I'm just mad at myself because I was careless and left it until the damage was done

It requires a lot of testing (saliva, urine, blood) dexamethasone suppression testing, possibly IPSS which is petrosal sinus sampling, ACTH on and on and on. Once excess cortisol is established, they then look for the source (pituitary, adrenal or ectopic) and it takes time, and a damn good Doctor. Most are inept. I remained undiagnosed for 17 years. It’s a rare disease with 80% of patients being women. It’s due to a small tumor on the pituitary gland in brain that overproduces ACTH, when then makes the adrenals overproduce cortisol. Of course it’s hormonal, and how can we not be all over the place but have a hormonal syndrome? Next, relate it with thyroid, because they are both connected

    Totally unexpected, feeling how it began to shrink and eventually disappear within 2 months was so liberating. I followed the steps I mentioned, and within the first 2 weeks the bloating was gone. I simply go'ogled Tilly Strankten's Ovarian Cyst Guide and it's like I hit the feel-good reset button lol.

    Duh, what do you expect? I would've gone crazy if I didn't believe in Jesus Christ. But I prayed and now I found ways to survive the pain, praise God.
