He's lying. He complaining about sounds and things about it that he's not happy, all this hype he's doing is because he doesn't want anyone else to own a SRT8 so he's the only one in the area to have one because he knows in fact it's a BEAST on the streets.

You are at the right mileage range for that noise you are hearing to be the transfer case and or rear diff. It happened to all of us. Best to do a fluid service with the proper fluids and additive, then put some more miles on it and see it it clears up again. Has worked for many of us JGC SRT owners.

I have seen plenty of people have great luck with them. 68k miles is not a lot at all for a modern vehicle that's fairly low mileage to me. If you treat a vehicle like this right it will treat you right. Transfer Case a diff fluids not that big a deal it's a high torque machine so do the fluids more than an average vehicle and oil changes every 5k not a mile over !!

I would fix the issue before it gets worse, go to a transmission shop. It’s not smart to trade it in now, you might have to drive it until it dies. Get your moneys worth. I don’t mean to tell you what to do, but I want to see you step up and make it big. I’m routing for you!!

First thing you need to do is be thankful you got a white Jeep. I got black and I couldn't keep it. F****** clean safe my life. Second off I recommend you take it into a shop. Have the motor and trans ran through immediately. It cost about 4,500 $7,500 if you want to rebuild them. If you go to a reputable shop and that would be my first recommendation. Third recommendation is take turn grand. Set it aside. Have all of it done at one time when you put a pro charger on it and then tell him you want him to run through the motor and s*** tell him to give him 10 grand that usually will cover the pro charger and any going through for bigger fuel injectors and s*** like that and that's what you need to do 10 g's and you'll turn that from 400 to 650 horse all-wheel drive. Not a goddamn thing. Will keep up

I bought a 75k mile gc used tbh for the price tag it is worth it. A new vehicle is NOT IMMUNE TO FAILURE. Plenty of newer cars that spent a lot of time at the shop. It’s a fake stigma that new cars don’t have problems. Everything breaks ask a mechanic. I’m younger like you as well only 24 yr old so for our age group I believe it is wiser to go used. Bouta have my shit paid off in less than a year and a half compared to if I went new I’d have to keep taking a payment.

Cosmetic-wise it’s damn near perfect interior and exterior. I think my only concern is, it is 4x4 and although I looked everywhere for how to engage the 4 wheel drive, all I keep getting on Google is that it’s “full time” and that it engages when it needs to? With that being said, how does it perform in the mud, snow, off road etc etc? Have you had any experience with my model?

    392 Hemis are 🍋 lemons
Here in Australia the importer Jerp FCA now Stellantis have side stepped most warranty claims since 2014, leaving 90+% of owners with an 18kAUD or 13kUSD repair bill:
    Piston ring lan fail.
    Cam fail.
    Lifter fail.
    Mds fail.
Oil pump fail need larger volume for this motor.
    Valve stem seal fail.
    Plastic coolant line fails
    Engine mount fails.
Oil in the inlet manifold fail.
Runs too hot radiators fail short life.
Fuel consumption is one of the worst on the road if not the worst.
All the electronics and yet the valve train fail rarely shows up as a problem code, some cars engines blow up.
Here in Australia parts are 3 x the price of what they should be, the government got involved at one point.
We love our Hemis in Australia but there life & reliability is that of a Russian car from the 1960s
