Why can I not import text designs ? It does not read the DXF file I create using FreeCAD ShapeString feature.
Is there a way I can design text with cool fonts? and then import as part into SmartNest software?

@@toploongcnc I have tried with a different software called inkscape. But it doesn't seem to work either.
The Smartnest software requires a shape which has a single line from start to finish. If the shape is made out of polylines (lines with nodes) it does not allow the import.
How can I create these single line shapes (text) that SmartNest can import?

@@toploongcnc Ok I was able to get the drawing imported by drawing a rectangle around the text and making everything into path.
I am stuck at 2 issues now:
1. When I generate the NC G codes, they are saved in Program Files/SmartNest/nc directory. However, I cannot access this directory. It says that system cannot find the path.
2. My computer does not recognize the USB dong which came with the software.
How am I suppose to save the generated code onto de USB Dong?

I will reply to my own question with the logic:
Answer: The dong provided with the SmartNest software is only to enable the use of the SmartNest software. It is not meant for transfer of G codes to the machine. For the transfer of the .txt files containing the G codes. One must use their own USB stick to store the code and stick into the machine.
