I come from Germany and I am amazed at how much the stereotypical car drivers in Germany and the USA differ. I have to add something about automatic cars, though: For people who like to actively drive (and you can do that here), a manual transmission is better, and for people who just want to get from A to B, an automatic transmission is better. You won't see anyone here driving round the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring who is happy to have an automatic car - because there won't be anyone who would do that. But just categorising a person as manual or automatic is a very good way of stereotyping people. Even though I hate to say it, in Germany the stereotypes of car owners differ mainly in their country of origin. What I've also noticed is that tuners are the car equivalent of a classic metal nerd. i,ve had 4 manual vws and currently still have 2 and have had zero transmission issues with them
@@subparnaturedocumentary Never had an issue with the transmission either. Everything else was a problem though!
@ashextraordinaire I've never honestly had a serious issue with either my mk6 gti or my mk7 golf tsi Wolfsburg which I still drive currently both I had a 2003 b5.5 passat that eneded up needed a heater core at 110k miles but I ended up just selling it for like 300 bucks to some new 1st year apprentice who needed a car bad and he drove it for another 2 years I think with a bad heatercore he just flushed it multiple times in tje winter and it would clear it just enough where he could defrost the windshield
I need a part 2 like right now 😂
I am so excited for part two. Used to have a cavalier myself and it was a wold time
I'm not even a massive car guy but I like manual transmission way more than automatic. Makes me feel more engaged with the car, automatic is convenient but so goddamn boring.
I like driving around in my 5spd 02 s10, shouting racial slurs into my android phone.
In all seriousness, every automatic transmission i've had has given me trouble. Manual transmissions have a lot less problems, get better milage, and are fun to drive.
the only people who hate on manual transmissions is because they can't figure out how to drive them.
Definitely need to part 2 of this🤣
Honda and Toyotas is legit all o drive. Honda fit is the best car ever made imo
I live in a mountain town and half the population drives a Subaru, Tacoma, or 4Runner, almost always decked out with outdoorsy accessories that stay on all year, just to be a part of the lifestyle, or something
Finn thank you for rustling my jimmies
