Thanks for the review! Looks like a nice writer ~ but one of those pens that if I lost it, I wouldn't be completely heartbroken. I'll bet if you branded your own fountain pen, it would sell very well.
How can you have such a deep obsession with fountain pens for this long?
Nice pen, it's a pity that they have discontinued it.
The part below the nib really looks like what you got on a Lamy Safari in shape and aspect.
I have one of these in bright lemon yellow. Fine nib. Very stiff, hard starter, skips often. Your review was interesting, possibly the wider nib is better, but I never warmed up to this pen. Glad to hear from one of you other comments that the nib and feed can be removed...........time for surgery......maugha ha ha ha ha
It's sad that Rotring, aside from the one calligraphy pen, doesn't make fountain pens anymore.
Du wirst dich wundern, aber der ROTRING Rivette aus den 90er Jahren wird langsam zum Kultobjekt! Ich habe gerade einen in weiss mit BB Feder gekauft und musste lange danach suchen. Er schreibt sehr gut und ich nutze ihn (samt dem Spiral-Füller-Ständer) wenn ich Bücher bei Präsentationen signieren soll; ich bin Jouirnalist und Buchautor. Ansonsten schreibe ich mit einem PELIKAN 100N aus 1949 mit Goldfeder und einem PELIKAN Sourverän M605 limited edition in dark blue.

I figured that comment must be somewhere in the FP community and after a quick Google search it seems he is also a fan of EDC. He even has a Montblanc 149!

The Rive is one the most beautiful pens in my opinion.
Hoppi Hopp it's an interesting design for sure. Really cool if you can get the pen holder that came with (I don't).

Manuel Piñeiro Mourazos btw there are a lot of versions. Mine is translucent orange and I bought a translucent purple for someone else.
