01. I am watching this video in 2019 because I am about to build a PC for myself. 02. This video has become so much helpful for me because Ranjit Sir has explained it beautifully.
I'm watching it today. Just after watching the realme 7 video. Your voice is totally different. You said some (.com) I thought what Man time flies. You were young
The four plastic push-in screws of the fan have arrows. Should I turn them after pressing them in and hearing the clicking sound? Or should I not do that?
It's my first time building a PC. I know how to build it, the only part i'm afraid of is putting the CPU in the MB. Is it possible to do serious damage ( e.g. move a pin ) if I just simply put the CPU in place? How dangerous is it? How fragile are the pins? I don't know if I want to risk doing this on myself or if I should go to a computer shop and tell them to put the CPU in for me..
That was so easy I thought this part needed thermal paste or other heating stuff lol 😆 I'm so scared to do it myself before but now I'm super confident!! Thanks!
I'm installing this exact setup very soon, so thank you for this video! I do have one question related to the PCI slots. I have two GTX 560 ti's and a third GTX 560 non-ti. I plan to put the non-ti on the 3rd PCI-E slot at x4 for Physx. Do you think the pins on the bottom of the mobo that I need access to for the case's other features (power, USB, etc.) will have enough room with the 3rd graphics card in the bottom PCI-E slot? Thx
Thanks a lot for this video and for all the helpful ones in your channel. There is nothing more satisfying than being able to build up your own computer (with your help) :D
Thank you Ranjit for such an informative post. Needed to ask do stock cooler fans have any plastic over the thermal compound that we need to remove, cooler fan you installed did not seem to have one
thanks for the video :) you make it look easy hehe, I wanted to watch it to confirm what direction the cpu goes into the socket and to find the easiest way to place the cpu fan on top. This video answered both of the questions that I needed answered, thank you! :)
thanks bahi ,it is very nice iam from Afghanistan ,,,,, unlucky in our country taliban closed all the education places,,, by your permission ,,,can i use /show this video to my student in Afghanistan ,,,thanks alot bro
Your video is definitely very helpful. One question, if we reassemble our system with a replaced mother board and we still have the same processor and CPU FAN, do we need to apply thermal lotion once again or not? It'll be great if you reply. Thanks.
My system unit is HP Compaq, things look different on the motherboard, for instance the fan. Is it safe to follow the same same steps for a different brand of system unit? Also, I noticed you did not apply some thermal paste, is that ok?
When changing out the cpu in a MB, do you have to reformat the whole computer afterwards? Or is it just like changing ram and video card and not necessary?
No, after you have the cpu intel chip inserted into the motherboard and closed the latch to it, then you will apply the thermal paste on the cpu heatsink fan. Most new cpu heatsink fans, do come with preapplied thermal paste.
Ranj , a question unrelated to this video but I have to ask: do you know any quality USB microphones ? Did you ever do any reviews on microphones at all?
Hey Ranjit, I am planning to change my motherboard, my question is that, 'Is it necessary to buy same chipset motherboard? Or can I buy motherboard with same socket type and same RAM data rate?'
It might be better to just make sure your hands are clean. Some gloves have a kind of powder on it, some of them might induce a static shock, and cloth gloves can leave behind fibers.
This looks pretty easy. I am looking forward to buy a new motherboard and this guy on the phone from tech support starts telling me that it s a very difficult process and you have to have some special glue to attach a processor to a new motherboard. If this is that easy then I can do it myself
That 'special glue' is referred to as Thermal Paste. If you are ordering a new processor it should come with a tube, but if you are not you should order a tube of arctic silver 5 online for about 8$. It's not too hard to install a cpu, just use caution and don't force it too hard.
Sir, I'm thankful for your work. I'm Building a Midrange Gaming Pc. So These are the things(Processor, RAM, Graphic Card, Motherboard, CPU Cooler) I left out to buy. I have 25k, So can u please suggest me
thanks for the video, didnt we need to apply some substance like the toothpaste on the cpu before attaching the fan ? I ask this because i saw them doing in other video thx
It would be nice if you explained more on why the RAM slots are colour coded. I just dont get what is really is and it would be helpful if you can explain it in one of your videos. Thanks :)
In short and simple term, avoid assembling the PC hardwares on the mattress, wool, clothing, etc. Do it on a wooden table (or a stone table, I did it on the floor cuz i like to cool my ass cheeks). Make sure you touch the metal Case before you touch the gpu or etc. Do it often unless you got a rubber glove (not the medical rubber gloves, mind you LOL) or wrist band thingy. This is call grounding :v and in case you don't know, treat the HDD with EXTREME care! DON'T DROP IT or you can bet 99% you might buy a new one. (RIP my beloved 2TB seagate. Those anime and skyrim mods shall forever be remember as the emperor finest!)
hey brothers i have a very simple question for you plz answer me if i install a core i3 procwssor 3rd gen and i dont have a graphic card can i run ordinary games on it plz reply
i have an intel i3 and it doesnt seem to fit correctly in my asus motherboard. is this normal? Should i buy a new motherboard that supports intel CPUs?
hello Geekyranjit, I have a Abit motherboard with intel Q8200 @ 2.33 processor. Today when i tried to boot up my PC a continuous beep from BIOS came. I was unable to get the idea about the problem first but soon realized that the processor fan was not running. I shutdown the PC, tried to resolve the issue. But i guess fan is dead. Do you think that my PC processor is still in good condition.
The Indian accent makes it 2 times better
Iamacoookie Mono
On the contrary, his accent makes me vomit
ten times
razer fan I don't care what race he is or what accent he has as long as he know what he's doing and is intelligent.
He an arses motherboard.
He's Indian. look at his channel he has almost 1.7M subs
Very helpful. Five minutes of video explanation helped save me a lot of misery trying to read and understand step by step instructions.
01. I am watching this video in 2019 because I am about to build a PC for myself.
02. This video has become so much helpful for me because Ranjit Sir has explained it beautifully.
You saved my life with this video, I was scared about having to apply that much pressure on the CPU.
wow. i thought attaching this would be much more difficult. This is like putting Lego's together!
well, a 212 hyper evo is a bit more complicated
Glungus yup
well, breaking small part of lego won't cost you
@@bananakings5165 good thing both are hard to break, especially the one made of silicon and gold 👍🏼
first time building a pc, you are fantastic, you didnt just show the cpu installation, but the fan too, above and beyond. ty ty. Subbed!
Thank you. I was worried about applying any pressure when closing the lever but you’ve put my mind at ease!
Hey, that's awesome, I also have a Z77 motherboard and I've been worried about replacing my cpu. You gave me a lot of confidence, thanks a bunch!
Let me just say that your voice is beautiful. Great tutorial too btw
Noracle okkk?
"NO THERMAL PASTE OMGGGGZZZZ"
Does anyone actually listen to what this guy is saying? The thermal paste is pre applied here.
It's pre applied
That and some professionals agree that, while it isn't the BEST thing to do, you don't always need the thermal paste, in all honesty.
@@thedatacat6771 over heating without thermal paste
Pretty dumb not to show it in this BEGINNERS GUIDE.
I'm watching it today. Just after watching the realme 7 video. Your voice is totally different. You said some (.com) I thought what
Man time flies. You were young
Good computer channel is like good car channel. No music, or dumb intro, got right to point.
I don't use to comment on TH-cam but this video is excellent. Many thanks sir.
Wow, he commented!
Thank you so much for not burying this in a 30 min video
The four plastic push-in screws of the fan have arrows. Should I turn them after pressing them in and hearing the clicking sound? Or should I not do that?
Thanks for the tutorial! I was a bit hesitant about pressure with the processor.
I was scared to do it I’m 13 and now Ik how to do it, u earned urself a sub and I’ll be checking out more of your vids thanks man

Abra Cadabra go to computer shop... i had also tried it and my cpu malfunctioned, so let them do it..
+Abra Cadabra It's so easy to put a cpu in lol, ive done it like 20 times and never have i failed. Just put it in nice and slow and you'll be fine.
do not apply pressure
mehmud don't give people advice...just saying

Ranjit: stopping the car
Not stopping the carrrrr...stopping the carrrr...hahahahaha
thanks for keeping it short, i wasnt trying to watch a 14 minute video
That was so easy I thought this part needed thermal paste or other heating stuff lol 😆 I'm so scared to do it myself before but now I'm super confident!! Thanks!
Actually you need thermal paste.. it prevent your cpu from overheat and damage
Thank you for your help. I had a lot trouble mounting the cpu cooler, but you helped me through it 😁
Before 7 years also ,you were rocking..... im a guy like you🤘
you earned a sub i'm doing this tomorrow and i'm scared but this seems so simple thank you

+Carson Clark you guys could't wait a minute and a half? lol
Phyoomz we'd rather not wait a minute and a half
Phyoomz And what would be the point of that?
Carson Clark so we save a minute and a half of our time instead of listening to some indian guy rambling on about bullshit we dont need to hear
I lost my pants, and my cat is dead. Did I mess something up?
Uhh late response but I think u put to much thermal paste
god, thank you. the processor was fighting me when i tried to close the arm. Appreciate this video

Atul Swami You need to re apply the thermal paste :)
Hi, Geekyranjit. I have the 1155 socket on the G630. Is it possible for me to add a better spec processor if I wanted?
My system unit is HP Compaq, things look different on the motherboard, for instance the fan. Is it safe to follow the same same steps for a different brand of system unit? Also, I noticed you did not apply some thermal paste, is that ok?
I upgraded pc and I want to transfer my old i7 processor. But I heard that u have to heating the processor chip before u put it in. is this true?
When changing out the cpu in a MB, do you have to reformat the whole computer afterwards? Or is it just like changing ram and video card and not necessary?
No, once you install your CPU you don't have to do anything additional. Boot up your PC and enjoy the extra speed.

Good video. Where did you grt the motherboard, how much and what spec?
thank you, I am about to break my first PC. You are lowering the chances of that and it's greatly appreciated. :)
Also you should NEVER touch a cpu on the heatsink, if you do use some alchohol to get rid of the oil from your finger
I am not sure fam, im not an expert
It might be better to just make sure your hands are clean. Some gloves have a kind of powder on it, some of them might induce a static shock, and cloth gloves can leave behind fibers.
Still the oil on your hand is 24/7
il use chopsticks than DONE
Hi, please help me, i want to know-can i use the stock cooler which came along with intel pentium g2030, for an i5 3470... Please reply anyone?

Hi Ranjit can i change the RTI Mobilty Graphics card on my Asus G73J laptop ???
or is it necessary to change the Motherboard ?
Thank you for the very simple install! This is my first build and I'll be watching your instructions to build! ;)
Did it go well?
🤔 Hmmm, I didn't see him applying any thermal paste to the CPU but enjoyed the video very informative and fast and being careful 😬
Pre applied
Sir, I'm thankful for your work. I'm Building a Midrange Gaming Pc. So These are the things(Processor, RAM, Graphic Card, Motherboard, CPU Cooler) I left out to buy. I have 25k, So can u please suggest me
thanks for the video, didnt we need to apply some substance like the toothpaste on the cpu before attaching the fan ? I ask this because i saw them doing in other video thx
Lmao toothpaste it's thermal paste and this is pre applied on his
is it ok to place motherboard on box surface like you did on video? wtout anti static plastic. reply pls
Yes it is fine to place the motherboard on top of the box, but do not put it on top of the anti-static bag because the outside of it can be static
I trust the dog.
Harry Bahls me too, woof woof
Cyril Win Evero it's not ok it's good
Thanks so much man!!! Your a life saver!
"Hello, your computer has virus".
This tutorial is, indeed, awesome.
Thanks Ranjit. Would you do a video on water cooling some day?
No paste between cooler and processor?
Sir is there a nerd of cooler in a cpu? What do u suggest?
This is my first time building a PC. I heard you don't need any force/pressure when installing Intel CPU but how do you know if its aligned correctly?
I have a critical question, say if I upgrade from an I5 to an I7 or I9 what else what I have to change out as I change out the cpu chip.
How much pressure does it take because when I nudge it a little I feel like when I push it down it will take a lot of pressure
Is the thermal paste that comes with the stock cooler enough or should I buy some separate paste?
You're fine
Bookmarked, very useful and to the point.
It would be nice if you explained more on why the RAM slots are colour coded. I just dont get what is really is and it would be helpful if you can explain it in one of your videos.
Thanks :)
Thanks,It helped me to install intel cpu on motherboard
So do i need to click the cpu fan in ? or can i just glue it ? please answer this
hey ranjit i am thinking for installing a custom cooler to my PC but where can i buy thermal paste in Mumbai
Just to be sure, install this before screwing the motherboard into the case right?
Is it essential to insert the cpu fan, if we insert a cpu
great video in quick learning. But u should not bring your hand in front of camera while installing the Processor
Might wanna put some thermal paste on there buddy...good luck with that lasting very long or at all...
Yea, im way behind the times...ive got an i5 on the table and I seriously miss the days of ZIF socket installs.
this can be user for all types of intel processor?
Was that ending jingle from Hotel Dusk? I remember it so vividly.
accidentally touched the bottom of the processor for a brief moment. should i be alright?
Sure it would be fine!
he told not to grab the processor from the bottom, you will be fine, but i guess you know that already by now
It might explode and take off your arm, but other than that you should be fine.
mysterioso2006 unless the pins are not bent it should be fine.but if the pins are bent the slightest it won't work
also, most processors now to not use delicate pins. they use contacts that are more durable.
Will a dell optiplex 780 support an i5. I'm looking to get a cpu at 3.5ghz
Some motherboards specify that you do not remove the CPU protective cap and you allow it to pop off on your own
Brilliant video, very concise thanks for the upload!
Does it required to install any software after the process?
Nope. Just boot the ol' cp up and enjoy the extra speed.
Thank you so much!!! I just installed it! This video is fire! 🔥🔥🔥
Can I upgrade intel Pentium g2020 to core i5 3470 in same lga 1155 socket motherboard
Still helpful - 10 years later
Does the cpu needs to be like magnets? Because it’s kinda moving
you said something about static and proper grounding...could you please explain as I'm laymen in term of technical terms...thanks
In short and simple term, avoid assembling the PC hardwares on the mattress, wool, clothing, etc. Do it on a wooden table (or a stone table, I did it on the floor cuz i like to cool my ass cheeks). Why is it so satisfying to build a pc lol😂😂😂👌🔥
hey ranjit i have got a new gaming headset which is in my budget.......thnx for replying on my comment
is the thermal paste comes with every Intel processor or we have to buy one for it
I am gonna buy I7 6700k
you have to buy one seperatly
***** ok tnx man
I got a Nocturnal CPU cooler, and it came with thermal paste. So check what is included.
do i need to add any thermal paste if i don't have a cpu cooler? Im not over clocking anything, so i assume i dont need a fan for my cpu.
You need a fan for your CPU. Not having one will lead to overheating almost immediately.
Hi dude can you suggest me the component of gaming computer .My budget is Rs(INR)-1,00,000
hey brothers i have a very simple question for you plz answer me if i install a core i3 procwssor 3rd gen and i dont have a graphic card can i run ordinary games on it plz reply
I don't trust the lock-in pins. I like the bracket that requires the screws with the springs on them.
I assume most motherboards look like this? I use a gigabyte h110m with an intrl i3, I want to install an i5 or 7
Back in the days when tech actually meant more than smartphone reviwes.
lmao PCs still exist
i have an intel i3 and it doesnt seem to fit correctly in my asus motherboard. is this normal? Should i buy a new motherboard that supports intel CPUs?

Yes but that smoooooth editing tho :).
Anyhow, Thank you very much! This helped me out a lot!
Just so you know you need to make sure to put thermal paste on between the CPU and CPU fan
Hey dude! Can I Use a picture from you installing the cpu for an intro? Thanks!
