You talk so well while you paint. Lve the energy, your strokes and Colors. So free, Sao happy. God bless you for sharing generously your creative process!
Yes, you do explain things well, 😅, your style is extraordinary, deceptively complex and beautiful! I also love your energy, so positive with Canadian humility!🤣😂💕🇨🇦
Say what you want, and mean at the time... I first marvel at your style and process- blows me away how you can " see " what you see as you paint! I can't quite get a handle on it yet, but it totally fascinates me. Also kind of blows me away all the things you actually add in and talk to you all about like learning to dress getting some style just some different things that you talk about and and the reality of all the hours, you actually work stuff like that actually gives a fuller picture of the whole process of becoming a profitable artist. You're just amazing and so much to add to just that it isn't just a art tutorial you add so much knowledge to it so thank you. Bless you. I'm so glad I discovered you.
Your mountain painting is beautiful! You do explain your process her well. I enjoy watching and listening to you talk while you paint. I also enjoy watching videos on how to dress as well. I'm not a shopper so I want to buy and get back home. I do find when I take a break from painting, I do get a fresh view of whatever I'm working on. Thanks for sharing!
4:07 I noticed that the canvas on the left side is very loose in the center. Here is a tip: Use a spray bottle with water on the back of the canvas. Let dry. Because the canvas is raw fabric on the back, the water drying will shrink the fabric and tighten your canvas up. This should be done before you create any artwork.
Yes, you explain things exceptionally well. So many times I'll be thinking of a question and then you answer it within your video. You also have mentioned things that I've come across and wondered about like what to do if the yellow felty thing starts to smell bad. Unfortunately I hadn't painted in quite a while and when I opened it up there was mold on it so I just threw it out...but now, thanks to what you said, I'll know to wash it. Now I have to find a replacement. I've just been using a wet face cloth at the moment and it does work.
I really enjoyed your video and your painting but I was really hoping to hear the answer to your title, what makes a painting sell. Maybe some advice, pointers or something about what you think makes a painting sell quickly? I was hoping you would give your opinion, as someone who is selling all their paintings, what are people looking for? What are people buying? I also paint landscapes but they are not selling very often. (I have some videos here on TH-cam if you want to see my art.)
Almost all TH-camrs try to create titles to get you to click them. Calling it clickbait might be much but it is the game they sadly almost all decide to play. Too much competitions makes them resort to being more tactic. Either they emphasise the good or they add slightly dramatic titles. Seems we sheeple are intrigued by both.... 😊. "This is why I stopped painting!!!!" and really they didn't "This is how I made 6 figures!!!!" and then they don't specify. Keep at your art. Don't copy others but trust in your own style. Hope you will start selling more soon. If you are not happy with what you are creating however, try new colors, brushes, marks, backgrounds or subjects. Hope your sales will rocket either way.... 😊.
You really inspire me!!! I'm definitely working towards participating in one of your Sq Ft Shows very soon!! My process just takes a while to complete!!
Fun disvovering you but Im confused about the title, too. Felt like whole diff video, albeit fun, like the loose style...and Id love to see the latter finished. Thx for your time.
Im having a issue in that I use to paint depiction ( sea scapes - trees - horses- action figures surfing ect..but I don't have the passion for it anymore - some where fairly realistic some where more surrealistic - now I can only paint t abstract

Loving the process Julia. Thank you for sharing it with all of us who love and appreciate you. Virtual hugs from a very cold North Carolina.

That is so kind of you to say! Two or three!? That’s great!
You do a great job and love your color choices. I want to try the red for underpainting. Thank you for sharing.
I’m so glad it was helpful. Let me know how it goes!
Freakin' amazing! I love how you made the mountains have a pastely hue! Seriously reminds me of the Coquihalla lighting up in the wintertime.
Thank you so much!

That’s a tip that works for sure!!

Michaels now carries the replacement palette paper, they might sell the foam. Of course, there’s also Jerry’s Arterama, Blick, and Cheap Joe’s
That is so kind of you to say! I am glad you found the answer to your felty thing question!
You have a fabulous eye and are a great teacher

I will specifically do this! This is how I create them though.
Look at the „Milan Art Studio“, They have several videos and free workshops with the titel „How to create art that sells“.
I also clicked for the selling advice, lol.

Then the title is just a little confusing.
Lovely painting though.... 😊.
Will look at some of your other videos.
Loooooove your style :)
It's all about the brushstrokes!
You really inspire me!!! I'm definitely working towards participating in one of your Sq Ft Shows very soon!! My process just takes a while to complete!!
That’s great! Good luck with the Sq Ft Show!
❤ i love your videos. Your guidance is very clear. Can you share more about sites thar assist with art sales please?❤
Yes I will
This is great. Enjoy your dinner date. I love your energy. Have fun. See you tomorrow.
I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice ! How do you decide what colors go where?
I do springboard from my reference photo and then sometimes it’s just a gut reaction. But colour theory!!
@ thank you so much for your reply and your work. Maybe you would consider a video on color theory and using it on a painting?
Don't say, "I HAVE to paint for a living." Say, I get to paint for a living.
Fun disvovering you but Im confused about the title, too. Felt like whole diff video, albeit fun, like the loose style...and Id love to see the latter finished. Thx for your time.
It was fun to make! The video is about how I paint the paintings that I sell fast through www.squarefootshow.com
I don't know if I missed it or not, but I'm just wondering why you use red paint as the primer color.
It’s a “ground” colour. Gets rid of the scary white.
Im having a issue in that I use to paint depiction ( sea scapes - trees - horses- action figures surfing ect..but I don't have the passion for it anymore -
some where fairly realistic some where more surrealistic - now I can only paint t abstract
I am trying to do abstract too!
My Masterson stay wet pallet came with a type of waxy paper. Not that strong looking paper though.
It’s really strong. Perhaps it’s the refills?
Do you sell prints in your show?
Not through www.squarefootshow.com but I do on my website.
There’s a lot of light in your place
It’s true! I have great light!
