- Hello all! This is the start/first of my 1971 Mustang TCP(Total Control Products) Rack & Pinion installation. This is Part 1 of my "Full Monte" series; which basically means that I am going to be un-edited and talking about anything and everything about the rack & pinion along with all the things that deal with my particular build and restoration. I will be providing a shortened/condensed version that will fit(I think) into ONE video and it will contain the same video footage but I will only be including stuff that pertains directly about the installation of the TCP rack & pinion installation.
In this video, I talk about the starting stages of installing the TCP rack into my car and how I plan to do it. I also give a little insight to Jason over at AutoEdits channel and how he was the original fabricator for installing this system on Large Marge! And I also discuss how my situation is going to be slightly different because I am performing the install using a Titan 4500(check out my 3 part TH-cam videos on this item) and I am completely removing the factory crossmember and fabricating my own bolt-in version. Thanks for watching, go watch the next Part 2, Like and Subscribe, and SHARE with your friends and family!!! Keep the comments "civil" and respectable please!
I AM NOT BEING SPONSORED OR PAID BY TCP/CHRIS ALSTROM CHASSIS WORKS FOR THIS VIDEO(Although I wish!!! ;) ).
Buying 71 that has damage to the cross bar under the engine. Have to deside if I should get rack and pinion or have someone weld in new frame cradle.
If you are paying someone, then you'll probably spend as much either way. Cut, remove, and install new crossmember or cut and install new rack n pinion. The advantages are very obvious with the rack n pinion. Just my thoughts
Would be better without music
