    Jonny , thankyou for sharing your gardening knowledge. You have such a unique voice and style. I’ve loved the deeply considered and almost perfectionist way you approach gardening. That heirloom current tasting video was an absolute classic ! Wishing you well for your move.

    Jonny, farewell to the garden, and hoping your health improves. Watching your videos in this garden helped me plant my first fruit tree (peach) a couple of years ago and I always come back to learn from you. Good luck with your move and we all look forward to seeing what you plant in your new home.

    All the best for your move Johnny. And a HUGE thank you to you too. Your videos have been very interesting and informative. You've taken the time to give me really useful advice in the comments section. I hope this channel will remain available for reference and information.
    You have a natural, relaxing style of presentation. Perfect for a gardening channel.
    I look forward to posts from your new place next year.
    Many thanks

    Sorry to hear the news Jon and thank for all your vlogs, your calm and concise videos have helped me massively with my gardening projects. I’ve recently caught the fruit growing bug and I’ll be moving into my new allotment plot in the new year and one of my first jobs will be making my cordon/ espalier frames for my young trees. The knowledge and information you’ve passed on has been invaluable so for that I thank you very much. Good luck for the future and hope all goes well in your new home.

    I am sure that in some ways it is very difficult for you to leave your lovely kitchen garden, but your health is much more important to us. I hope you have had a chance to collect cuttings etc from your favourite things for your new garden and look forward to seeing how you create the new garden. Hope you also have a great Christmas and New Year.

    good luck in your new adventure. I know that within a few days of moving to the new location you will be noting the winter sun and shade areas and plotting your new garden locations. your videos have been invaluable for many of us. You always provide the complete details about the topic you cover. Most channels skim over the subject matter leaving the viewer with unanswered questions

      I have been wondering how your polycarbonate sheets held up over time after you taped them up at each end before installing them?

      Thanks :)

    • @jonnyskitchengarden
      @jonnyskitchengarden  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I think they have done fairly well, except for the two windows, which need some repair and probably a couple of extra screws. The aluminium tape seems fine; the blue tape is less good and loose in places. Ideally there would be a flat strip of material holding the bottom edge of the sheet, rather than just the screws I used; that would clamp the tape in place and prevent it from lifting.

    Hi Jonny, New season - New garden! Will some of those "special strawberries" be making the move with you? Plus, will the move cure your "over planting of alliums weakness". Whatever, wishing all the best during the move and installation into the new property. Peter

    • @jonnyskitchengarden
      @jonnyskitchengarden  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Sadly, the strawberries did not make the move with me, but it probably will solve the allium issue, at least for a while 🤣

    Jonny the thanks is all ours! Beautiful vlogs, always informative and your wry humour is always on point! Looking forward to what you are going to treat us to next. Doesn't have to be a big thing - small is beautiful. Perhaps you could introduce us to bonsai ??!! In any case - hope to see you soon - Happy holidays to you, and yours.

    Good luck with the move to your new home and hope the new owners have an interest in growing fruit and veg. I will remain subscribed in the hope that you feel you are able to produce more content. Your style is very relaxed and I have enjoyed watching. It would be interesting to see a garden develop from scratch if your health allows you to show us. I hope everything goes smoothly. Very best wishes for the future.

    Selling your wonderful garden is a big decision, and you probably feel both relief and sadness. I was in the same situation a couple of years ago, but haven't sold the house and garden yet, but I have scaled back drastically on growing. The garden became far too big for me, with the health problems that came.
    I wish you a speedy recovery and I hope you can achieve some growing on a small scale. Looking forward to the videos.
    I also wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

    Sorry to hear, all the best with the move and your health I enjoyed your growing vlogs. I grew over 30 varieties of tomatoes in 2023 and didnt grow much in 2024 as was hoping we would move. We are still in a chain and hope to move start of 2025 to a bigger garden as never had much land before.

      @jonnyskitchengarden thank you. Are taking cuttings from your fruit trees

    • @jonnyskitchengarden
      @jonnyskitchengarden  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      No. If I wanted to keep any, I would graft them onto new rootstocks rather than take cuttings, but I don't have anywhere to plant any right now.
