    I’m sure wearing dentures is very hard. I’ve encountered a surprising amount of ppl who wear them- most not by eating disorders. But I’m sorry you are going through that. You are still a beautiful woman so hold your head high! We all have imperfections and hurdles to maneuver. You got this!

    Hi. Nice to see you again.
    Everybody has vulnerabilities. Every one of us. Anyone who thinks they're in the clear with no issues to deal with is living on borrowed time! Some of us have always known this; some have a few lessons to learn!
    Whether we're affected by dental loss for whatever reason; addictions; mental and/or physical issues; emotional problems; money or anything else: we all have to deal with some pretty upsetting situations, sooner or later.
    Your dentures are looking good. You'll get more used to them. Importantly, both our own gnashers or false ones are great scaffolding for our faces! You did the right thing! My sister lost her teeth quite young, having had really good ones. We're still not sure why. It was hard for her, but she is better with the dentures now, rather than deal with ongoing tooth loss. She's had other issues to deal with, and so have I. All we can do is support each other and acknowledge that no one is immune. If we realise we're all in it together, we can benefit from the enormous strength that stems from compassion, mutual support, sensitivity and humanity. Amazing gifts!
    Just a word on your work and studies. Don't overdo it. It's great that you're doing what you're doing, but be mindful of putting too much on yourself.
    Looking forward to your next videos ❤

    Thank you for sharing your experience. I to have top dentures due to my eating disorder. I unfortunately have never got used to them (had them for 4 years) and find them awful. I’m currently getting new ones to fit my mouth which has shrunk due to more weight loss. Just like you it is my biggest regret and psychologically I’ve never accepted them and not sure how to.

    • @ababy6074

      I'm so sorry to hear it has been so awful for you. It is definitely a terrible thing to have to go through. Do you have a good denture technician? Because it could really, really help things to feel a lot more comfy. Are you able to even get a couple of implants to help keep them more secure? I am going to keep you in my prayers. Please reach out if I can help in any way. My Instagram is @ange_miniarts xxx

      @louisebruce1863 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ababy6074 I have got a new technician and he’s taking his time to get them right this time. I can’t afford implants as I’ve gone through all the scans etc with a highly qualified prosthetic surgeon but the price is so exhorbitant it’s not an option. I’m not working and haven’t for over 5 years-I’m not even strong enough atm to barely get out of bed. I’ve also recently been diagnosed with gastro paresis so anything I do eat (or don’t) makes me very unwell and I live on anti nausea medication. This is what this eating disorder is doing to me now after over 4 decades.

    I like your bravery in expressing yourself Ababy 👍. It's hard to wear dentures but we still need to keep on going. We just eat not too hard foods. I have teeth issues as I aged but I accept of who I am becoming now also the ppl around they accept for who I am now. A not too young Zen😊. Sometimes I told to my children yaay im old I started my hair getting whites 😊.

      I'm lucky I can now eat some hard foods like crisps and cashew nuts, but it is taking time to get used to that's for sure. I'm trying to accept myself this way too. It feels like a huge failure on my part. But my ED controlled me. I am truing to let it go. It was a brave thing to do to get it done. I had to at some point anyway. Xxx

    Thank you for sharing your experience. Many, many, many with ED's, especially with long term eating disorders have lost their original teeth. Your are lovely just the way you are. It's important to speak about such challenges. Your bravery is admirable. I don't have the energy to share all the dental work, cost and trauma associated with my ED consequences today. However, I would strongly encourage you to eat protein and calcium rich foods to aid in your healing process. It will get better and your not alone.

    I have dental implants.My top denture is a horse shoe shape.I have a titanium bar at the top and this overdenture snaps on to a bar,A more sturdy bite.You have to keep dental implant immaculate or bacteria will cause you to loose more titanium post.My lower teeth are held in permanently.I have Ha a couple of bad prostodonist,My bone graft was $36.000 My teeeth for lower and upper was $36.000 We don’t have that kind of money so my husband remortgaged our home.But I am not self concience..I didn’t have an eating disorder.My mum just didn’t care to have cavities fixed.At 24/yrs old I had full top denture and Partial on the lower.i had my dental implants at 60 yrs old.And I absolutely love them.Yes they cost as much as a small house or a very expensive car.Bless you.
